Eventually, I figured out that the only option was to contact Corina in the office, talk to her, and have her relay whatever it was to her workers. I finally gave up on them when I came home to find the workers just arriving. As the workers entered, my dog excitedly came running to see what was going on (as he always does). The worker than threw a coil of heavy vacuum cleaner hose at him!!!! I have no idea if they had been mistreating him this way all along, but that was the last time they set foot in my house.

However, I did not realize how difficult finding a reputable cleaning company at an affordable price was here in DC that could clean on your schedule. Most cleaning companies in DC are either booked solid or they want you to enroll in a recurring plan to get the affordable prices. I literally struck out twice when scheduling a cleaning company to come clean my apartment prior to finding CharmClean. Below is my review of of the company. BOOKING- The booking process was extremely straight forward as I was able to make a reservation on the company website. They had plenty of availability which fit my schedule. In addition, they emailed me constant reminders about my appointment. 5/5 PRICE- To clean my studio one bedroom apartment, the price was $119 for a one-time clean. However, I was able to use a discount code from Yelp that allowed me to save $15 which made it about $100. Although in other places I have lived that would be considered pretty expensive, it was actually the cheapest place (after using the discount code) here in DC. 5/5 SERVICE- To be clear, my apartment was pretty disgusting which is why I made the appointment. The company sent one maid and I was unsure if she would be able to clean everything within the allotted time. However, Milanos arrived right on time and did an excellent job in executing each task within the timeframe. My apartment looked like it did when I moved in when all was said and done. In addition, she brought her own supplies (which isn't a given with some companies). 5/5 In the end, CharmClean is as good as it gets here in DC and I would recommend them to anyone who was looking for a company to clean their apartment/house. Don't waste your time or money looking for anyone else.

When they showed up, they stated the price would be $250. I thought this was a poor way to do business, but I agreed as I needed someone to clean. The person who came spent over two hours cleaning, but I could not identify anything that had actually been cleaned other than the stovetop. There was still dust and cat hair on the furniture and floors, there was actual dirt on the floors that was not there when they started, nothing had been vacuumed, it did not appear that anything had been swept or dusted, my area rugs were stuffed into trash bags, and the cats' food and water dishes had been dumped out. I spent the hour after she left vacuuming and dusting. I will not be bringing them back and I DO NOT recommend this service to anyone else.

The toilet was very dirty after they cleaned it. They refused to clean the shower walls even after I told them it was in the contract they sent me. They left some grease in the bathtub that they couldn't remove. The mirrors were full of lint and streaks. They missed so many dust bunnies on the floor. One guy had no idea how to use a broom-- I'm not exaggerating. The vacuum cleaner they had was an under powered joke. I regret the money and time I spend on this terrible cleaning service.
