I had some sale upholstery fabric from Fishman's I wanted to use and they were totally fine with that. She let me know that due to their workload they wouldn't be able to get to it until the summer, which I was ok with. The shop called when they were ready to come get the old chair and promptly picked it up the next day. The job only took a week and I paid the balance over the phone by credit card. The chair was delivered today and it looks great. The fabric worked out well and the quality of the work is excellent. I'm looking forward to sitting in it to read in our living room for many years to come.

Tried this place to get some barrel dinette chairs re-upholstered and even got down to placing an…read moreorder for four chairs. They informed us a couple of days later that they did not have the materials that appeared in inventory for the job but could substitute some others. While we did not go forward with the order - since we did not like the alternative materials - we still give them kudos for quickly reversing the credit charge. While they may want to work on their inventory listings to provide the correct options, we have no problem with their solution. We went somewhere else for our job, but would not hesitate to give Paul's another chance. Try them.

I've had a mid century vinyl lobby chair since the late 90s that had a wrecked seat. Paul's reupholstered this chair for me recently as well and I'm happy with the results. They suggested eliminating the taffeting in the seat and retaining it only on the back to help prevent the old issue of the seat material coming apart over time and that was the right choice. I liked that look but it looks great without it too and will be more durable with regular use. The workmanship is high quality and they redid all the piping and everything just like it was. I picked out a red vinyl to match the rest of the den furniture and I'm happy with that too. Paul's also was like $300 cheaper than the comparative quote I got from another place here in town. They have free pickup and dropoff too. I'll continue using Paul's for any future reupholstering projects.

I didn't find anything I like initially and Edgar brought more and recommended some that he thought I would like. He is absolutely right! He also replaced the cushions and made the chair super comfortable. I couldn't be happier. Thank you and would definitely use them again. As for price, I think they are fair. Fabric is very decent priced. After examining the chair, we decided it needed cushion replacement etc., so the labor cost doubled but still totally worth it imo!

We decided to completely strip the wood to reveal the natural wood grain, re-glued, and reupholstered both pieces.
