    happy bonds at home
    Arseyne L.

They were very professional, affordable and accommodating. Earlier in the year (april 2024) when my dog, Bond, got attacked by my sister's dog who has bad resource guarding when we accidentally left them outside together unattended he had a pretty severe wound in his leg i was able to get a walk in appointment quickly and get his stitched up for less than half the price an animal hospital/urgent care would have charged me and they were very nice to me and my boy

Today I brought my cat in its carrier, parked my car about 5 yards from the cattery, and asked the young healthy female attendant to please carry my cat in. I'm 80 years old with a bad back. All previous attendants have been happy to do this. This attendant flatly refused, and said I would have to carry the cat carrier into the cattery myself. This was just the last in a series of miscommunications. My paperwork (as always, complete & current) was attached to the carrier, which on previous visits I had been told was OK, and that I could later take it with me when I picked up the cat. This time, she made me go out to the car, detach the paperwork from the carrier, and bring it to her in the office. Then she said since last time I'd left it on the carrier, that would be OK after all, so I went out and re-attached it to the carrier. Her tone throughout was as if the kennel were doing me a great favor by allowing me to board my pet. Over this past year I have boarded dog/cat 3 times. There has been no consistency at the front desk in terms of courtesy. In fact, there has been little courtesy, period. The kennel insists that we do the paper work over and over, getting extra copies for every single visit, but surely this could be made less cumbersome, since the paperwork is often identical to that of the previous visit. The kennel refuses to keep my paperwork, or a duplicate, on file, insisting that I furnish new (identical) copies for every visit. Because I've been loyal to this kennel for literally decades, it takes a lot for me to change kennels. But if attendants cannot carry a cat carrier a few yards for an elderly repeat client, I think the time has come to look elsewhere. This kennel is paranoid about getting the paperwork, and makes it a nightmare for clients. Customer relations seem to be of zero priority. The young attendants the kennel hires have no people skills, and seem to hate their work. I've waited a year for things to improve, but they're just getting worse. Enough is enough.

Then we proceeded to get a call from the owners saying we can't leave our dog there. We then went to go get his paperwork from (Hayden) and they said they don't have it. Hayden then proceeded to start an argument with my significant other about wether she gave the paperwork to them. Wich she did we only gave one copy and we are very careful with it. Absolutely horrible business. BE CAREFUL.

Usually, I have a regular pet sitter but this time she was not available so since K9 Country Club had been under new management for a while and the reviews were wonderful I decided to give them a try. We dropped in to get a tour and immediately we received a personal tour of the entire facility. We were very impressed! They stayed a week and were very happy and bouncy when I picked them up. K9CC was very accommodating and follow all directions for food and meds. Everything had been clearly labeled by K9CC and I had also requested my babies have a bath before picking them up. Randy, their groomer is excellent! He was very sweet and loving with both my babies and they loved him right back. They looked fluffy and smelled great! They were obviously well cared for and we will definitely return. Teresa Evans

My dog, Koa, was boarded at this facility on two occasions: July 3-5 and July 10-14. I cannot determine during which stay he became ill. When I picked him up on July 14, he was noticeably lethargic and not acting like himself. Later that evening, his condition declined rapidly. He became disoriented, was unable to stand to go outside, and his temperature measured 106°F. He was rushed to an emergency veterinary clinic and admitted immediately. Over the next several days, Koa's condition was described as critical. His white blood cell count was dangerously low, he continued to spike high fevers despite continuous fluids and cooling measures, and he required round-the-clock hospitalization. Multiple veterinary teams repeatedly prepared me for the possibility that he might not survive. I was told more than once that his prognosis was very guarded and that we needed to be prepared for the worst. He underwent extensive diagnostic testing, including imaging and a bone marrow biopsy, and ultimately required transfer to Washington State University's Veterinary Teaching Hospital for ICU-level and internal medicine care. He remained hospitalized for nearly a week. The drive to WSU was approximately an hour and a half each way, and I traveled whenever possible just to see him during limited visiting hours, not knowing if each visit might be my last. Despite exhaustive testing, no definitive source of illness was identified. Koa ultimately survived due to aggressive medical intervention, including prolonged steroid therapy and the advanced care provided by the critical care and internal medicine teams at Washington State University. His total medical expenses exceeded $12,000. The owner of the boarding facility was contacted on the morning of July 15 by my boyfriend to inform her of the situation and to ask whether any other dogs had been ill during that timeframe, as this information could have assisted with veterinary diagnostics. Although I am the legal owner of the dog and the individual listed on all veterinary and boarding paperwork, the facility owner never contacted me directly by phone or email. I would have expected direct communication with the registered owner during a medical emergency of this severity. To this day, she has never reached out to me personally. Koa survived, but his recovery was long and difficult. He required months of steroid therapy with significant side effects, including excessive thirst, increased urination, and loss of bladder control--none of which he had experienced previously. Initial attempts to taper him off steroids resulted in serious complications requiring further medical intervention. He ultimately required additional long-term medication and ongoing veterinary monitoring. The emotional distress of nearly losing a family member after trusting a facility to care for him is something I would not wish on anyone. Beyond the medical crisis itself, the lack of direct communication with me as the registered owner was particularly difficult. I am not making claims of legal fault or causation. I am sharing my experience. Pets are family, and facilities entrusted with their care carry a significant responsibility. I strongly encourage anyone considering boarding here to ask detailed questions about illness monitoring, emergency response procedures, and communication expectations. I sincerely hope others take the time to think carefully before entrusting their animals to this boarding facility.
