I told the new vet this and after telling her the symptoms and she required a $1,500 deposit for exam and "possible lifesaving measures" and they would refund the rest upon pickup. When I got there, they did X-rays which I told the receptionist we did not want, just blood and urine tests. They ended up doing $1,800 of care which me or my boyfriend did not authorize. He authorized urine, blood, oxygen and fluids. After this experience I immediately went to Indian trail animal hospital, they looked at her, looked at the work done at Spokane Cat Clinic and listened to me, gave her antibiotics and she is perfectly healthy. If this vet actually listened to me (I never actually met her only the vet tech came out and only the vet techs / reception called me) my cat could have been feeling better faster and I would've saved over $1,000. I emailed them about this and they suggested they will discontinue us as a patient there and we would get better care elsewhere. Yeah they were right, I did that right away. Should've went to my home vet, Indian trail animal hospital, first.

Balla Fur's sister Charlotte Fur no longer recognizes her sister and hisses at her. Charlotte did not approve, but lacking an opposable thumb, she is not writing this review.

It was a terrible experience and ridiculously expensive on top of that. Short version: My dog had an obvious ear infection and AFTER he was put under, the vet came out and surprised me a $2,500 bill and said my dog would have to come back again to be fully cured because the antibiotics they were prescribing him that day likely would not work. The vet was rude as hell, zero compassion or empathy and kept pushing me for more money and tests, all for an ear infection. I paid my bill for the services rendered and I took my dog to another vet, who was amazing and came in at about a 1/4 of the cost, even if I had the tests done there. I decided to switch my dog to this vet, who then called Deer Park Animal Med Center to get my dog's records and tests sent over. I then received a text and an email from the original vet telling me that because I switched vets they would never treat my dog again and they even canceled my dog's boarding we had scheduled a few months ago for a upcoming family trip. This vet is hyper emotional, reactionary and over charges and he retaliated by canceling my dog's boarding, which honestly I would have done anyways. Never, ever bring your animals here. Read all the one star reviews and look for his snarky responses. For clarity, this is the vet office on HWY 395, up against the round about, right before McDonalds. My dog is now doing great under the care of a new vet, we rebooked his boarding at a new and cleaner boarding facility for less money and I will never return to this miserable excuse of a business. My friends and all the 1 star reviews were spot on.

From the moment we walked in, my pup was treated like royalty. The space was clean, welcoming, and clearly set up with care and attention to detail. But what truly sets this place apart is Celest. Celest is a dog whisperer in every sense of the word. She took the time to get to know my dog, listened to all of my concerns, and made sure my pup was comfortable from start to finish. What we have come to know about Dachshund Rescue NW is that they have placed over 2,000 doxies in loving homes. Margo Mossberg is the Director and treats each and every dog as if they were her personal dogs. Before a person that wants to adopt a dog from her Rescue, the applicant must complete an application. When she takes them in she spends time with each dog to determine their demeanor, mental and physical health. She also takes the dog to the vet to have them spayed or neutered, oral exam, update on their vacations and discusses any issues the dog may have. If the dog needs to be treated, it comes out of the money from people who have previously adopted from her. She is very knowledgeable about dachshunds in that she makes it clear that this breed does bark. So if you live in a condo, townhouse or apt., she will let you know that this is not the breed for you. We met Margo this past Saturday at the St. Patrick's Day parade in Spokane. We were very impressed by all of the people that attended the parade to show their support for this Rescue and to see the dogs that they have adopted from this Rescue. We were able to talk to them about their experience in adopting their wiener dogs, and because of our conversations it reinforced our desire to possibly adopt another dachshund from Margo and her organization. They were very direct about the state of our sweet girl and helped us make the very tough decision to put her down. They were very kind and reasonable through it all. For $5, we got a clay paw print of Winnie's. We were shocked when we received the kindest card that next week, where every employee had written something nice in tribute to Winnie.
