When we refused to pay him cash, he acted as if he was going to drive away with our 4 suitcases and 3 pieces of carry-on luggage still in the back of his vehicle, refusing to open the trunk lid until paid. Given $25 cash, he more-or-less dumped our luggage from the back of the taxi, then told us he wanted a tip as well (no!) -- and when I asked him for a receipt, he said he'd get one. He sat down in the driver's seat, started the taxi, backed into our luggage -- nearly running us over -- and left. Unfortunately, my cellphone was in my carry-on and I couldn't get to it to photograph him or his cab ID number before he began backing up. Little driver, huge ego, terrifying driving. Totally irresponsible. Outright thievery.

Had he not bitched, I might have walked where I was going, but if your going to try and ruin my vacation with your little man talk, then I'm getting in. The complaint from him was how long he waited for the line to put him in front. Not My Problem. You chose this as a profession, and clearly you don't care for people. You even slapped your hand hard on the console so loud it hurt my ears, in your anger. I'm a tourist in your city, and your attitude was not deserved. A real conversation with us might have served us all better. But anger was all you had. vicious you were. we still tipped you cause I'm not YOU. I used to live in Seattle, and I've found men like you should go back under the rock you drove in on. No One deserves to be treated with your mysogyny. find another day job.

Great option from Seattle to Crystal…read more Two recommendations: 1. Clarify pick up location in e-mail. There were two addresses for the Downtown Seattle pickup. I was lucky to be at the right one, but I was 2 minutes from walking to the next address when I did not see the bus. 2. We left at 415pm from Crystal. We waited for other passengers. I don't mind waiting, but I thought it was unfair for those who returned to the bus on time. I recommend just changing the departure time to 430pm. Crystal closes at 415pm. Not to mention that we had to sit in traffic for an additional hour in the morning, so that was a total of 75 minutes that I missed on the snow. The bus is still very convenient if you don't have a car and it is only you for the day.

UNSAFE UNQUALIFIED DRIVERS!…read more A VERY elderly bus driver who appeared disoriented was driving down the center of a narrow two-lane neighborhood street and almost hit my car. I had to slam on my brakes and reverse into an intersection. The bus appeared lost; there was no reason for them to be on this very small street. The driver honked at me and seemed confused and angry. I called to report the driver and the woman on the phone seemed annoyed I hadn't taken down all of the bus information. She said it was "so much easier for [her]" if I had. Maybe they don't track their vehicles? Highly unprofessional, and makes me wonder if they simply don't know what routes their drivers take. They seemed unconcerned by the incident and irritated that I had called. I would NOT feel safe with this company.

However if you need a later return ride after 7pm BEWARE, after Dawit was off work we waited for 2 hours and ended up having to get an Uber after sitting in the freezing cold for a no show. He asked where I was going and I said, Sea Tac Airport and he said right. I was leaving from Beacon Hill but the driver started heading north towards First Hill. The dispatch comes on ( the fare was already at 13.70) and tells the driver he has picked up the wrong fare and through repeated exchanges kept hearing the amount accrued said wrong several times. She then directed him to head to the airport and she would get another cab for the other ride needed. When at the airport the driver tries to add the $ 13. 70 to the final fare which I told him was ridiculous because that was not my fault. So no charge for that, yet it made me question what in the world was going on with Yellow Cab? Cannot recommended.

I scheduled a pickup with Starz since they had a promotion at my condo. Through a convenient online form, I was able to set up a reservation, and promptly got a text from them confirming my pickup date and time. I even got a reminder text the day before my pickup. On the day of my pickup, they arrived right on time. Just getting in the Chrysler 300, I was immediately impressed. Available to me was hand sanitizer, candy, gum, a newspaper, and an ipad. There was no need to use the newspaper or ipad, though, as the driver provided great conversation on the way. It was a pleasure to talk to him about my upcoming trip, and he got me to the airport quickly to boot! The most significant part about the service is still yet to be told: After paying him with my credit card, we exchanged handshakes as he handed my luggage to me......... A little while after he dropped me off, I was on my way through to the security line, where I began putting all the contents of my pockets in my bag. It was during this process where I realized what an idiot I was - I forgot my cell phone in his car. In a frenzy, I used my tablet to find Starz' phone number, and called them on the pay phone (who knew these even existed anymore!!!) Calling Starz, I spoke to someone who calmly told me that they would try and get to the airport in about 20 minutes, and told me to meet them at my airline's door in the departures section. I offered to pay again for this drop off, since I assumed the driver was far away from the airport already. It's a small price to pay to be able to keep my phone with me during my trip. Sure enough, the driver arrived about 20 minutes later. I walked up to his car, and he handed my phone to me. I asked him to pull up ahead so he could park and I could pay him again. His response: "No sir, that's ok. Just enjoy your trip." I stood there in shock, as I had just bugged him to drive all the way back to the airport just to drop off my phone. He reassured me that I need not pay him again, and it was then I realized that there is still hope in humanity. To the selfless driver that provided me stellar service, I thank you. Also, a thank you to Starz for employing such great people and for running an efficient operation. I guarantee that I will be using Starz Towncar service for all my future shuttle needs. P.S. Yelp, you have listed 11 different 5 star reviews as 'Not Recommended' I hope people take the time to read these unrecommended reviews, as they all attest to the great, effective service that Starz Towncar provides.

Uber in Seattle is... well, it's what you use because there aren't really any other options. Taxis?…read morePractically extinct. Hailing one here feels like waiting for a unicorn to trot down Pike Street. So, Uber it is. The service itself is hit-or-miss. Sometimes you get a clean car, a driver who actually knows the city, and a smooth ride. Other times you're stuck on a scenic "Seattle detour" that's just code for "the GPS lost its mind in SoDo." Traffic is brutal no matter what, so don't expect miracles--whether you're in an Uber or your own car, you'll be staring at brake lights. Pricing swings with the mood of the city. Surge pricing during a Mariners game or when it rains (so, basically every other day)? Expect your wallet to feel lighter. But compared to the ghost town of taxis, Uber at least shows up when you need it, which is really the only reason it wins by default. Uber in Seattle isn't glamorous. It's not particularly cheap, and it's not always smooth. But it exists, it functions, and it gets you where you need to go--eventually. And in a city where taxis are a relic of the past, that's about as good as it gets.

This means Uber made $67.50 which is $135 per hour. Get real! Stop gouging Seattle Uber! !!
