I would give Kingston Care negative stars if it were an option, so don't let my one star fool you. My mom has been there a week and I have been there 12 hours a day caring for her because we all know there are never enough CNAs to care for all the patients. This morning my 90-year-old mom was let alone on the toilet at 7:30 a.m. half cleaned up, poop on everything and the CNA never returned. She got herself back to bed and had to walk through poop all over the floor. I arrived at 9 with her breakfast to find her a mess. No one answered the call light. I walked the halls asking for help. Finally I went to therapy and had to reschedule her OT and clean her up, get her dressed, and clean up the room myself. I requested an administrator meet with me to discuss my experience and I expected them to speak with me and help me. Instead they wouldn't let me speak and only wanted my mom to speak and she didn't know who they were or why they were there. She's hearing impaired and didn't know what they were saying. One didn't like that I was angry and wanted to speak, and was so patronizing and condescending. I was even more upset after the interaction with the staff I asked to help me. I was told my tone was unprofessionally and if I kept it I would be asked to leave and escorted out if I returned. My tone is much stronger now and I hope my mom is alive when I go back to get her out of that place. Please do not put anyone you love in this place. I would give it minus five stars if it was possible. They have a horrible reputation for caring for their patients. I was in there for 6 hours before I called my daughter to come get me. I was there for a knee replacement physical therapy. I saw a nurse when they took me to my room. I never saw another sole up until 7:30 when my daughter arrived to get me. No dinner, missed my pain medication that was due at 6:30. I pushed the call button at 15 minute intervals 4 times from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm. no one ever answered them. when my daughter came to get me and wheeled me out we never saw a nurse, receptionist or anyone to tell I was leaving so we just left. No one ever called because I was missing!! Please don't put anyone in this place that you care about. I still have dreams about it. read more

FIRST OF ALL THE FOOD SUCKS. AND ON WEEKENDS YOU MAY GET LUNCH BY 2: p.m and you can expect it to be cold. My father was there after a surgery, during the day family was with him to do for him. but in the evening he would soil him self because he couldn't get anyone to help him to the bathroom. He was there for almost a month and in that time he got two showers. I have a dear friend that is also in her 80's she was treated that way for a week before her kids got her the heck out of there. But if you look at Kingstons Website it's awsome go figure. But on other sites they are bad! Watch your family closely and do your homework before you put them in a place. They are negligent when it comes to the proper care of their patient. Staffing gives a vibe like they care but their actions show otherwise. They are not fully informative to family as to what is going on health wise with their loved ones. The facility needs a whole new staffing and caregivers or shut down. read more

A few weeks ago our elderly neighbor fell and broke her hip. After a week in the hospital and a successful operation he was transported to Kingston. We went to visit her yesterday and got to look around. Her room was spacious and immaculate. Lots of windows and plenty of light. The lobby and the office area was also clean and modern looking. I walked by the PE room and all the equipment looked new and in great shape. Our neighbor and her husband reported that they were treated well by the doctors, muses and staff! If I need rehab, Kingston Care will be on our shortlist!!!! read more

Think twice before putting your loved one here. My father, who is elderly and in need of help for ADLs, was not awakened OR FED for an entire day!! If my mother had not come in, he would probably be dead now. read more

This place is not as good as it seems. From a shotty intake process, NO ONE understanding the way the food service works, and poor communication, it was a nightmare!!!! I am forever scarred from this place. There are some staff that were outstanding but sadly the place is still broken. There are medical staff claiming they did something that never happened. You have to push your call button AT LEAST every 15 minutes for an hour sometimes to get a CNA to come help assist for the bathroom. CNA's not paying attention to the patient in the bathroom, or CNA's with snarky attitudes. Or you press the call button and someone responds but it take FOREVER to get what you initially requested. I understand everywhere is short staffed but either have enough staff that care or don't be in operation. PERIOD. I feel like the minute I left, my loved one was not treated as well as when I was there. First shift always ran more smoothly because that is when you had all the administrators and social workers there, but the minute they left...good luck. Same with weekend staff. IF you do not like the elderly or disabled please do not work with them. It will never be okay to be complacent to how a facility operates when it comes to how people are cared for. I hope they get better. But please be cautious. read more
