    Cirry Curry Goat Dinner
    Christina K.

I have a new found love for Kingston Grill. I never really got into because of another restaurant I would frequent, which has since gone awry. Their flavors are good a bit spicy for my taste but good. Their soups are amazing especially the manish water. Today, I stopped in and ordered a curry goat with cabbage and plantains. It was good like i said a bit spicy but it's okay. I appreciate that they have ALL the items in their menu available. I never was told 3 hours for this and that. They have everything available. This will be my new spot for now.

I ordered a jerk chicken white meal with cabbage, plantains and rice& peas. My plantains were missing and the rest of the food was cold! Absolutely nothing had steam or was hot, there was no freshness to the entire meal. It tasted well seasoned although so cold. If I just bought it from your restaurant, why do I have to heat it up before eating it when I get home? Terrible! Horrible! Inconsiderate! Poor Service! I wish zero star was an option for this.

It all begins with this adorable amazing gal who keeps changing her color.....I love her smile!!! She kinda knows what I enjoy to order...so I get to see her smile and I so love her politeness. Today 2 orders of Cow Foot and Beans 1 order of Ox Tails 1 Beef Soup The young man is so friendly and helpful....this place has so much enthusiasm and pride...you can taste it...you can see it in the customer who come in; like they're sitting at their own kitchen table. Very clean place, quality meats and vegetables and great portions as they will customize any plate for you if they've got it. I so enjoy coming for a delicious meal and to see this little gal's smile.....they all smile there...but she's kinda special to me because she's so helpful and I am just learning how to enjoy Jamaican Food. Thank you again for another delicious meal.

I used to love coming here but seems like they have lost the effort in having available items and customer service was basically non existent at the register. It was about 3pm , and they had no festivals and no cabbage. They also had limited meat items. They did have fresh hot Patties available but they were skimpy on the filling. My dinner was okay the meat was a little dry. I'm probably not going to make the long drive to come here again because they have fallen off.

If u just opened and the chicken was cooked today it would not look nor taste like that! I been eating from here since i was in highschool! I know yuk meat when i see it! All in the trash! And next time throw some water on your rice when u re heat it! No more for me!

I wanted to come here for a while had high hope of this establishment. It was nothing to rave about. It's chicken with jerk seasoning. Was it tasty? It was. The chicken was moist and tender and smothered with sauce that had a spicy kick. I was baffled about the great reviews on their meat pie. It was mediocre at best. The cashier/waitress/server was struggling while multitasking. I feel bad for her. Now that I've been there. Next.

Really good Jamaican food, and good prices. I had a hard time finding them at first because it's kind of in a weird place in the strip mall. Update: My husband raves about their cow foot and jerk chicken , he wants me to bring him some every Friday on my way from the office.

Pros: I like the atmosphere of this place. Bright colors inside and outside! Great vibes, couches are comfortable, art work on walls is amazing. I had the pleasure of attending several private parties and rooftop staff and bar staff are lovely! Cons: customer service in restaurant. One of the bus boys was sweeping the floor around us when we were first seated. I told him to move because my phone charger fell by my feet and I did not want him to sweep my phone cord. He also did not know the menu when we asked for brunch menu. We were told menu online/Google was not their current menu. Wait staff took their time to obtain our order. The wait staff also only gave us only 1 creamer for coffee and was told it was the last creamer, milk was provided. Plus the place does not provide free refills of coffee. The atmosphere and food makes up for the customer service. I would visit again to try drinks at the bar.

He informed me that the restaurant would be closing in less than a week. (By the way, HUGE bonus points for this kind of service when the restaurant is literally counting its days.) The superb, friendly, knowledgeable, and fast service continued through the visit. To eat, I started with the Bacalao. While I wasn't sure a cod fritter would fit the spot, these did! The fish was high quality, well seasoned, and the fritters themselves were breaded and fried to perfection! The dab of jalapeno mayo up top added some savory notes along with a little heat. While I'd ordinarily say I'd have liked more, but here this wasn't the case. As for the salad, it was bright, fresh, and dressed lightly and perfectly. Then we come to the ceviche. While I am not typically a fan of mango, I loved the way Estacion integrated it here. The mango added sweet and savory notes, while not overwhelming anything else the dish had going on. The fish was fresh and high quality, and the veggies added freshness and brightness. Even the avocado served a purpose in adding some fatty notes. Finally, let me tell you about the Flan de Queso. This was described as flan meets cheesecake. The sweetness was light, the flavor divine, and texture velvety perfection. Looking back, I am realizing what a fool I was for not ordering a second helping. Not to leave you hanging, the Caipirinha was good. Nothing mind-blowing, but a pleasant, mild drink. Final verdict: If I had known about this place earlier, you can bet I'd be a tried and true regular. This becomes a case of "don't be sad it's over, be happy it happened," or whatever the phraseology is.Still, as I said at the start, my heart is broken.

I got the standard order and also ordered a side of Mac & cheese to try it out. I got a free drink with Yelp check in but the worker didn't know about it and had to call the owner. I got my meal to go and hubby got a meat patty for us to try on the ride home. It was hot, flaky and very tasty! When we got home the first thing I noticed was no sauce, and they didn't ask if I wanted sauce on the side or on the food. Still, the chicken was cooked well and the level of spice was perfect! I'm just used to jerk sauce, at least on the chicken. Yet despite no sauce the chicken was tasty and the white meat was not dry, although I will say that the pieces were noticeably small. The cabbage was a bit crunchy but delicious, as was the rice & peas and the plantains. I wasn't impressed with the look of the mac & cheese (looked like Kraft and not homemade) but it was tasty also. I had enough food for two meals so the value is good. Overall I enjoyed it and I think I found a new Jamaican spot.

My wait time on a Friday afternoon at 5pm had a 40-minute wait time. How do I know? Because I kept feeding the meter on the online parking app. There were many delivery people picking up food, including some folks that may have just finished a work shift and was grabbing food before going home. No I didn't get the pizza. I believe because Loyola University sits in the neighborhood, the restaurant is catering to the college kids by offering pizza. I decided to order some food for myself and husband - jerk wings, brown-stew chicken and jerk catfish - both with candied yams, rice and peas, and plantains; plus one slice of rum cake. After 25 minutes I checked on my order and was told there were no more candied yams, and I can replace it with cabbage and select 2 can sodas. When I got home, one of my orders actually did have candied yams, but somehow both included cabbage and macaroni and cheese. OK?! Well I guess I'll get to sample all of their sides! Let's start with the Jerk Chicken Wings. The presentation could have been worked on, however, the flavor was actually good and different from other places I've been. It had sort of a sweet and spicy flavor, but not overwhelmingly spicy. If I was to go here again, I wouldn't get the jerk catfish because they give you catfish fillet and not catfish steaks - which is what I prefer. Plus for the price - $25, I believe there should be more fish in this container. Can you see the catfish in my attached photos? No?! That's because it's in the top right corner underneath the jerk gravy (great flavor by the way). In fact, all the food had great flavors; especially for carryout. The candied yams were my favorite. Second would be the rice and peas. My hubby tried his food the next day and said the rice tasted mushy but had a good flavor. We believe that it was mushy because it had been over 24 hours and various refrigeration at home and his job. The chicken pieces were all dark meat (legs and thighs). On the online menu, it's called Jamaican Black Cake, but in the restaurant, it's called Rum Cake. Well you taste the rum on first bite, after that it tastes like raisins. I don't have to get that again. I've definitely have had better rum cake, and didn't have to pay $8 for a small sliver. I'm giving this restaurant 3 stars because of the enormous wait time, my order mix up and the not so tasty and expensive Black Cake / Rum Cake.
