I went in with my mom for Mother's Day. The message was good. But the gentleman at the front desk was harassing us for a tip. We gave a certain amount and he had said it wasn't good enough. I never been place where I have to give more for a tip. I wish that didn't happened so we can go again. It doesn't seem like we will be going back to that place again. read more

Poor management of appointment times is the primary reason for 2 stars. I have been a customer of Kingston for well over a year but I am at a point of not returning. My first appointment was for a 90 minute Swedish massage. The massage was not Swedish, but reminded me of a Thai style massage. While overall the massage was OK, it felt misrepresented. I left feeling that there are far better places to receive an actual Swedish massage for the price point and decided to not return for that specific service. After the confusion of the massage I have only returned for the $28 foot rub. It's inexpensive and relaxing. They offer online booking but will often text me within a day of my appointment telling me they have rescheduled my appointment. VERY ANNOYING. My time for self care is super limited and I chose the appointment time listed as available on the website because it worked with my schedule. It is very off putting receiving a text stating that the time has been changed without my consent. After the 3rd separate time receiving a text changing a confirmed appointment I was told to call instead of using the online scheduling system. Why offer it if you can't fulfill the appointments?? Calling to schedule an appointment is challenging. The person at the desk struggles to communicate and the phone will get passed around several times before someone is able to effectively converse, hence the convenience of scheduling online! Except apparently the online system is a ruse even though it's available on the website and the business "confirms" the appointment. I have tolerated this establishment due to the proximity to my house and the inexpensive foot rub, but it's not worth the frustration of scheduling. read more

What Great Staff!!!! GO See Lisa went because i needed to treat myself and what a treat. felt like a million dollars afterwards. Lisa took her time with me and explained how i could avoid some of the issues i was having with my shoulders. I went in for 30 minutes stayed for the hour because it just felt so good!!!... She listens to you if it starts to hurt (something a massage machine won't due) she will put more force you want her too. Doesn't speak much english but she communicates perfectly. I was having terrible pain in my neck and back for weeks and finally made a deep tissue massage appointment at Kingston. It was great! I felt so much better the next day and didn't wake up with any pains. I will definitely be back for more regular appointments so this does not happen again. Clearly I got the lemon "masseuse" (if you can even call him that) because my experience is the absolute opposite of everyone else. If they ever offer you a young guy say no. I wanted to give him a lesson in anatomy because he clearly never learned it and although I'm a gynecologist I still remember enough to be shocked. The massage I went in for was the 60 minute deep tissue plus 30 minute foot massage. My husband did one as well and we shared a room, he liked his female masseuse significantly better but what received what he describes as a typical massage. We both just ran a half marathon and explained that our hips, glutes, quads and shoulders were very sore. Onto the young buck without a clue. He spent a good twenty minutes just running his palms up and down the same track on my paraspinals which was as far from "deep tissue" as you can get. He then proceeded to run his elbow deep up and down the track of the paraspinals and ending by plucking the same sore spot on my trapezius. Never actually massaged that shoulder, on either side, nor did he address my very sore muscles around my scapula- didn't even touch them. I got a two second pat up my neck, my arms got a quick pat and that's it. Onto the legs- same story, gentle up and down for twenty minutes accomplishing nothing, and then with his elbow attacked the same poor hamstring and dug into my right piriformis, but not my left. Newsflash sir, my hip also has a gluteus Maximus that is dominant in this area and really hurts. Didn't touch my quads- the ones I torture daily running. He did give me a 15 minute head scratch which I really didn't care for. And the foot massage- you mean toe massage. Awful. Awful. I wish I was told his name so I could put it in here. I actually feel worse than I did once the soreness from the race kicked it which is terrible. read more

I've been going to this place for months. They are great! They always have availability and are decently priced. However, last time when I was paying they told me there was a $2.00 use of credit card fee. I never been charged before and I didn't think that was fair. Also, I think my experiences could have been improved if they update their music selection. It is always the same playlist!Overall it's a good place in a great location. read more

Having a pretty intense, stressful job...I wanted to check this place out to get some much needed help on my neck/shoulders. And this place delivered. I will admit I don't think many speak English here, so it was a bit frustrating communicating what I was there for, but the level of work that they do can't be compared to anywhere else I've been! I don't know the name of the person that worked on me, she just walked in, did her thing and walked out. But I feel so much better today! They accomodated my ever changing work schedule and even took me an hour earlier when I called letting them know I could come in sooner than my appointment. I'm so glad Kingston Reflexology opened in my area and was very pleased with my experience the first (and second, third, and fourth) time I went! On my first visit, I met and chatted with the owner, Julie. She is a sweet young woman, who is anxious to hear or feedback so she can fine tune her new business. She explained a little about reflexology: it's an ancient Eastern practice based on the idea that areas on the foot correspond to organs of the body, and that by manipulating these areas of the foot, one can improve your health. I'm all for the natural approach, plus it was a really relaxing experience. For $28 - that is not a typo - I got a 1 hour massage. The therapist began by soaking my feet in a bucket of warm water with a tea bag. I really didn't know what I was getting myself into, but was pleasantly surprised because after the foot soak was put into action, the therapist got to work giving me an awesome scalp, face, neck, shoulders, and arms massage. Then she removed the bucket of warm water, dried my feet, and spent a good deal of time doing the "reflexology." I almost drifted off a couple of times, it was so calming. Then she had me flip over to my stomach and she worked a little more on my back and leg muscles. RECOMMENDATIONS: If you need a little help with relaxation and can spend $35, I recommend you get over to this place ASAP! (The $28 for a one hour session was a grand opening special, which will end when owner Julie feels the business is taking off.) It's a good price to make this an affordable indulgence. Wear comfy clothes such as sweat pants and a tank or loose t-shirt (you remain fully clothed for services). Please speak softly when you enter, because the room walls don't go all the way up to the ceiling and the noise can be a little disruptive for those already receiving services. read more

I went there several times. Went halves with a coworker and bought a gift certificate for a couples massage for our boss and his wife. They were not interested in it. I called and spoke to owner and asked if I could use with coworker so not out $. She said yes. My coworker and I went and I gave gift certificate. They put us In Separate rooms. I had a male and he kept going out to answer phone. I mean 6-7 times. At this point, I was annoyed. Finished and went to lobby to wait For coworker. The owner was there and totally ticked at me that I used the gift certificate. She wasn't there when we came in. I tipped 10$ which I thought was generous given the fact the guy kept leaving the room. The owner found that to not be enough. The look on the owners face was as if she wanted to kill me. BEWARE!!! I generally don't leave reviews on Yelp, but I cannot understand why this place has a misleading high rating. My fiancee and I came here hoping for a relaxing massage, and we did not get anything close to that. For me, the massage was extremely painful, even after I asked repeatedly for lighter touch. I am currently sore from the massage, and not in any kind of good way. For my fiancee, her massage therapist was touching far too close to inappropriate areas on her body. This was an incredibly uncomfortable experience for us both. The room was very cold, the place was very loud - we could hear everything going on outside our massage room, from people entering to conversation happening in the other rooms. For this kind of price, you can get a much better and more relaxing experience elsewhere. read more

Very convenient location for me and the masseuses ask questions and listen to your input and pressure liking. Unlike most, I enjoy a swedish massage with quite light pressure. I have been to KIngston Reflexology a few years (3+) back and it was absolutely fantastic. I was having back problems and their massages seemed to help. They've gone through a lot of turnover and the quality of massage has not returned. I had the masseuse that burps and has nasal issues. I was going to leave in the middle of the massage but stuck it out. I couldn't wait to get home and shower. I emailed the company about my dissatisfaction and got an immediate response that they would look into it and call be later. I thought, great they care about their business. This hasn't happened. It's too bad, the receptionist and staff they had 3 years ago were great. I wish I knew where the masseuse named Candi went she was good. I also asked about the $10 off offer but that wasn't received well - the former receptionist always made me feel important. read more

This place is great! It's very clean and spacious with easy street parking. The front desk woman was very friendly. I had an hour long Swedish massage with Jason. He was awesome - strong but not so much that I am in pain right now. I feel so relaxed! He hit all the right spots and really knew what he was doing. I took one star off because he did not massage my arms or my feet, which I thought was strange. Also the rooms are set up loft-style so they are not totally private, and it was quite loud - you could hear other rooms and also the employees filling buckets and doing other things - it was distracting. I had a great experience at Kingston. I am a runner and have been having some foot issues. I made an appointment for the 60 minute combo -- 30 minute reflexology and 30 minute body massage. WOW! I was able to run this morning and no foot pain. The therapist was polite and made sure the pressure was okay for me. I like deep tissue massage and she delivered. The place is clean and nicely furnished. They also do a referral program as well as use the Belly app so you can accumulate points. I will definitely be back. This place is killer. Went today for a birthday massage, got one hour couples deep-tissue massage and one hour foot massage. It was heaven. The foot massage was truly stellar. I can't believe it's only $28 for one hour!!! They were very accommodating, we had to push our appointment time back an hour at short notice and it was no problem. First the Pros: Easy street parking. Easy online self schedule on website. Open on Sundays with flexible hours throughout the week. I got a same day appointment. Simple, no frills. No cucumber water or Green tea in site. Some unexpected nice touches: temple massage, hot towels, toe stretch. The Cons: I doubt that my masseuse was licenced. I doubt any are. Masseuse barely spoke English: ok? too hard? Masseuse climbed up on table at one point. Became worried to the amount of time spent on my spine without accredited licensing. Really didnt work out/on the knots that have been plaguing me. No frills oils: used Curiel (!) for the rub and Target hand sanitizer. Not especially relaxing: half way in, a fan blower came on overhead, virtually louder than the ambient music. Never got to that complete droll of massage bliss. Why go? Great for a spur of the moment/day massage. The biggest plus. I've definitely had a better user experience elsewhere. Not the bargain other Yelpers have indicated. Oh, and they ask to keep on your undies which I've never been asked to do. read more
