UPDATE: 8/17/25 after 3 pm-the EMT was also rude to him!! People need GOD in their hearts, there…read morewas no reason to talk to him the way she did, he is obviously sick & feeling alone & scared! So sorry he bothered you with questions. The other EMT was more understanding & professional Another one that breaks my heart to have to review the negative experience that our loved one has here. It appears that all almost post acute/hospice services including physical therapy services lack quality care. My daughter chose this facility, primarily because it's the closest location accessible to her, and literally walking distance to the hospital, which he would be transported to since he's paralyzed. That said, I'm just very disappointed. The recent negative reviews are accurate. The response time when he presses a button or we press a button while we're there visiting him at times is very unacceptable period. I get that they're understaffed, but for all of the money that the VA is paying for him to be there, you would think they would at least hire a few more people, and he's not the only veteran. there are a lot of veterans that are there, and they're not well taken care of. And I'm saying this based on his experience and what we've witnessed - all family members, friends and his former coworkers from the base-March Air Force. The other issue that is disturbing, is that some of the younger staff, particularly the younger males & the trainees (don't exactly know what their titles are), I've caught laughing right in front of him, making fun of him to his face, most of them smell like weed, and complaining! Complaining about him right in his face. He's not quite dead yet, and he's still coherent and understands what's going on. It's just very disrespectful and quite cruel! They also make fun of him because he's freezing, and he has two or three blankets, and constantly asking for thicker socks, and for the temperature to be warmer, and at times he's confused because of dementia, but he still coherent at times, (which is a majority of the time), he just has his moments. Now I want to give 5 stars to the head nurse, which I forgot her name,, 2-3 female nurses that are working on the C rooms section , I can't remember their names, but they are always empathetic to him including the one young gentlemen, with blonde hair & accent, he always remembers us. And last, but not at least, the 2 receptionists at the sign-in desk-entrance, if I forgotten anybody for praise. I apologize and can update this review later, because I do believe in giving credit where it's due. But for all the staff that laughed at him, complained about him and treated our loved one poorly and disrespectful. Shame on you!! The day is going to come when it's going to be your loved one, perhaps a spouse going through the same exact situation as they get old. Maybe you'll remember how badly you treated these folks-karma is a bi%#!

I've had enough...This place is a joke. It's been several months of nonstop bull. There are some…read morestaff members who are great like the two ladies I've met at the front desk. The PT staff is great but the nurses/cnas leave much to be desired. There is maybe a third of the staff that's great and on it but the others need to be held accountable for their actions. Weekend and night staff will leave patients sitting in their own urine or feces for long periods of time. The social worker onsite is rude and only professional in front of other people. She's very passive aggressive with comments. They come and take stuff out of patients closets and give it to other patients to use twice I've had to retrieve my family members jacket that has their name on it from another patient or the staff will use the patients personal items and steal their personal drinks and drink them. When the upper management leaves on the weekend and at night the staff gets really loud shouting to each other and laughing up and down the halls when patients are sleeping. Counted several times over the last several months where they leave patient lights on and don't respond for close to 30-40 minutes. The response given to me was they are all on break.(everytime?) it's not just been the one night or day. Wonder how many patients have had medical emergencies that they don't address right away. They feed diabetic patients nothing but sugar when their restrictions/preferences are listed at least from what I was told from other patient's family members and from my own observations, are they trying to send them back to the ER. Or the patient whose daughter told me has diverticulitis and they feed her items that can cause flare ups. The cnas come and take pull ups and wipes from other patients because according to them there is not enough supplies. They do this while in the middle of cleaning others up. That's a nice way to cause cross contamination and cause other patients to develop rashes/possibly catch diseases. I'm sure the CDC, OSHA and the state would have a field day. I'll be sure to be filing a concern with the state.
