    Spicy Karaage

What an extremely delightful experience all round The staff The service The ambiance The cleanliness ( incl the restrooms) The decor Oh yes... and the food We started off with the Spicy Chicken Karaage... 4 decent sized pieces... though it was very tasty, it did have a predominant flavour of Frank's Ref Hot We followed this up with the Pork Spicy Garlic and the Chicken Shoyu... both were outstanding ... served piping hot and extremely flavoursome.... and I'm also cured of my sinusitis Special shout out to Michelle And good luck to Julia and Carlo with this Oakville location Modorimasu...

    Pork Original Ramen

We stumbled on this place by doing a Yelp search on what was close to our Airbnb. I liked that there were meal sets available because we were a party of 5. The meal for 4 comes with 4 bowls of signature ramen, 4 drinks, 1 plate of gyoza, and 1 plate of edamame or takoyaki. I can't recall the price but it was super cost effective. I ordered the pork original ramen. I liked that you have the option to choose thin or thick noodles. Not many ramen places allow you to choose. The ingredients listed on the menu said the original ramen was essentially a broth seasoned with sea salt. Still, I did not expect the broth to be so bland. It needed something like chili oil or even a bouillon cube for more depth. The pork also wasn't as tender as I would have liked. Overall, this place satisfied our ramen craving but I've had far better ramen at a similar price point.

    Pork Spicy Garlic

My family and I came to Kinton Ramen for a late night dinner a few weeks ago. I ordered the pork spicy garlic with thin noodles and it totally hit the spot! The broth had sooooo much flavor and I love the kick of the spicy broth with the grated garlic. The portions were perfect and I ended up clearing my entire bowl. I wish I could find a place similar to this in Southern California.

This place at the mall somewhere. As luck would have it, the entrance we choose is where this restaurant! It's a really small place. When we came in there's only 2 workers! One as waiter, hostess and clean table. The other is cooking. Luckily we don't wait all that long for the food considering only 2 of them. The broth is very flavorful. We shared the tonkatsu black. It has very good garlic flavor. Very rich. It also has standard chasu which is tasty only it was very thin and only 2 slices. The eggs cooked very good, also has the fungus and green onions. I would come back again. It has very limited menu.

I tend to enter Square One through entrance 9. It gets me to Conspiracy Comics, Torrid, and Tanghulu. Between the two sets of doors is Sansotei Ramen. For a while, I have flagged dropping by this ramen joint. I decided to have an early dinner after work a couple of Wednesdays ago. Parking is much better on a weekday. I got a spot between Walmart and entrance 9, and walked over. I walked through the door after reading the helpful sign to push it. Push it real good, according to Salt-N-Pepa... haha I was immediately greeted by a woman who would be my server. She led me to a table and I got a menu to peruse. A male staffer was chowing down and a woman behind me was almost done eating when I sat down. It was quiet and nice. A group of three women came in towards the end of my stay. I am normally a miso or shoyu broth person. I looked at how creamy the tonkotsu looked and wanted it. I got it with thick noodles and corn. I also got a Diet Pepsi and gyoza. The former came first. It came in a cup. The carbonation was nice. It tasted crisp. It was cold. I loved it. My ramen and gyoza came together. It was different, but I was fine with it. The gyoza was excellent. The filling was delicious. Each wrapper held everything together. It was pan-fried perfectly. The dipping sauce made each gyoza yummy. I loved the tonkotsu ramen. I normally don't like the smell of tonkotsu. It was different here. The pork smell was down to a minimum. The broth was creamy and full of body. I loved it so much that I drank the whole thing. I have never done that with tonkotsu broth ever. I got thick noodles. They were chewy and bouncy. So good! The chachu was excellent. I got two decent slices. They were so yummy with the egg, black fungus, and green onion. The corn elevated this bowl of ramen. I have been thinking about this ramen ever since. It was excellent. I paid for my meal at the counter. I used a credit card to pay. I tipped and tapped. Done! I used the washroom before I headed into the mall. It was was a single stall for everyone. It was clean and inviting. I particularly liked the complimentary sanitary products for women. This ramen place was excellent. I can't wait to return. (144)

There was the correct flavour profile for both but it was not strong enough. Nasi Lemak: the rice had a super light coconut scent & no taste (it tasted like normal white rice). The sambal was super spicy & had some coconut in it. Spiciness aside it was pretty good. The chicken itself seemed was pretty tasty (it was probably ayam bakar, though the flavour didn't penetrate far below the surface) but it was covered with sambal which basically obliterated the underlying taste. The peanuts were good - not too big & some were slightly sweet with some flavoured crust. The anchovies were very deep fried & rather dry. The egg was a ramen egg - pretty good as ramen eggs go, but it didn't go with the dish. The dish was served with Vietnamese fish sauce dip, which didn't go.

We ordered the laksa and Hainanese chicken. The laksa was quite coconutty and had a nice flavor to it. There was a bit of toppings to it, but the portion was overall small. The Hainanese chicken had a lot of chicken, but was served on plain rice. Service was oddly slow, even when there were only two tables there. but overall, it was worth trying.
