After completing eight post-surgery therapy sessions with Kintsugi, I asked at the time whether there was any balance on my account. I was told there wasn't. Nearly a year and a half later, I received a bill totaling close to $2,000--despite the sessions being basic stretching exercises. I contacted Kintsugi to understand the charges and the delayed billing. I was told the coding was done by the therapist and that the billing came from a third-party company--not Kintsugi. However, the bill had Kintsugi's name and contact number, which makes the attempt to shift responsibility feel dismissive and unprofessional. Not only were the charges excessive for simple stretching, but I also stopped attending because I could perform these exercises independently. What's most disappointing is that the billing was delayed until I was no longer working and on a very tight budget. This timing added unnecessary financial stress. During my call, the person I spoke with said he would inform the owner but couldn't offer any resolution. He later left me a voicemail saying he felt I was mad at him, which struck me as odd--I never made any personal remarks, nor did I direct any frustration toward him as an individual. The experience reflects poorly on Kintsugi's business practices and, ultimately, on the leadership that enables them. read more

You never know when going to a new provider if they're going to try to discourage you from lifting weights or CrossFit/ Functional Fitness - so I'm super happy to find Kintsugi! My therapist, Jacqueline, never tried to discourage me from my normal activities and worked with me to keep me lifting and doing burpees (in fact, we did burpees as part of therapy!). The facility is great and everyone I met was very nice and welcoming. Hopefully I don't need PT again, but if so I'll definitely return to Kintsugi. read more

After dealing with back pain for years, I finally decided to see what could be done with my body mechanics to help. The therapists at Kintsugi evaluated me and came up with a plan. Being a part of the plan was empowering. As we worked on my issues I found new relief! All without a pill! Yes this is really the way to retrain one's body to work correctly. I'm thankful to all the therapists and staff here who cheerfully encouraged, and educated me on this plan. Christi Riley and her team are true miracle workers! I have been seeing Christi on and off for over a year due to some chronic back and neck pain, when I'm having an especially bad pain day she is able to almost completely relieve it in one visit with her manual therapy! She also has such a thorough knowledge of the body and all the muscles and nerves, and has prescribed me great exercises to help me keep my pain at bay and become stronger (I don't always do the exercises, but that is my fault! Haha) Yesterday I saw her massage therapist Laura for the first time and she was also great! She really knew just where to apply pressure to help relieve intense tension that I've had for years. I started having left leg and hip pain back in May of 2020 but seeing a doctor at that time was not an option. I did the phone call visit with my primary care physician and be prescribed physical therapy. My wife has been using this clinic since they opened and really liked the people and location so I opted to give them a try. Great decision for me from day one, the facility is new, the staff is truly engaged in what they do and you can see that from the time you walk through the door. Aaron is my therapist and after doing an evaluation of my condition he immediately guided me thru some exercises to start the healing of my injury and explained in detail what each one was for. I have since made progress in my recovery and Aaron as evaluated and changed my routine as needed to improve my condition and put me on the road to a successful recovery. My hip has been bothering me lately to the point where it was difficult to walk straight so I thought I should see a physical therapist but wasn't sure how I could with Covid-19. I contacted Christi at Kintsugi PT and she scheduled a telehealth session. I didn't even know that physical therapy was possible through telehealth, but thought I would give it a shot. Glad I did because I am able to walk straight with no pain. The session was surprisingly good. Christi was able to diagnose my symptoms by asking me to do this and that and making me point out the part of my body that hurt. Then she was able to teach me how to perform various stretches to help release the pain. And this was all done on my iPhone in the comfort of my home. I guess physical therapy can be done through telehealth! I got great results after just one session! I highly recommend anyone needing physical therapy but not able to get to the clinic, especially in these times, to give telehealth a try.
