I am so grateful to the staff member Armand for assisting me in an attempt to locate my stolen phone. He even allowed me to use his phone to 'findmyiphone'. Although I was unable to retrieve my device, the assistance and patience this young man showed made all the difference for me and the anxiety I had from having my phone stolen. The other staff was also supportive in suggesting the best thing I can do next to secure my info on the device. Also, love the kids play center and the women who work it. They're always very pleasant with the gang of kids who go here as well. Also, the gym attendant who keeps the lady's locker room tidy during the PM rush. The staff smell like weed, the equipment is not maintained well or is often scattered about, the locker rooms are disgusting. I don't think any of the lockers have had their interiors wiped down - ever. My fees were increased without any notice. I constantly felt disrespected and gross at this location. Part two of the stars are at least a little location is you know it's hard to beat their location that's probably the best location on Earth. I need to remodel mostly they need to put a second floor on it and you know maybe enclose the weight room. The girl who works there are so rude! she said Whatever and hang up on us once we called to ask how to cancel the subscription!! Most of the machines are out of order, and will remain not functioning for like two weeks , the gym smells most of the time and over crowded you can easily wait half an hour for one machine and people stay on one machine for like an hour, some of the staff are not professional we had a class planned we came on time and after waiting for the trainer half an hour he said he needs to leave soon so let's reschedule! We just stopped going to this branch 20 days after we registered because it was not worth it for us. They take two months fee and an annual fee that is non refundable and is supposed to cover the maintenance but always there is at least 5 machines out of order. Only one trainer I found professional and respectful his name is Felipe he is a professional trainer and he is the only one who is actually doing his job and trying to make this place better. Management at this LA fitness just can't seem to get it right. The people opening this gym on the weekends are constantly late(after 8am) almost every other weekend. There's 30 people waiting for a bunch of spoiled kids to open the gym at 8 am~ and they couldn't care less if they're 10 or 15 minutes late. The sad part is Eric (the manager) doesn't seem to care. My family has worked out here over the Christmas holidays for many years, and they've always been friendly and accommodating in setting us up with short-term memberships. Atmosphere is relaxed, clientele is courteous and diverse from a skills perspective, everyone from fasted-cardio gym rats to Sunday Funday lifters trying to keep the pounds off (my personal fitness category). Joined just for summer 2025 and this facility needs an overhaul. The machines need work are not maintained and some need replacement. The hot water didn't work most of June. Not as clean as it should be. I have used this facility before and was OK but now it's bad ! read more

yesterday, September 24, 2025, around 6:00 PM, my husband had a very unprofessional experience at LA Fitness Burien, WA. While he was trying to check me in, his phone froze during the process. The Membership Department Manager, Sadiee, took his phone without permission instead of using the computer to resolve the issue properly, which is standard procedure. She only completed the check-in correctly after repeating the same steps he had already tried. Taking a customer's personal device without consent is completely unacceptable. Management should address this immediately, as repeated reviews show a pattern of rude and dismissive behavior. Customers deserve respectful and professional service. read more

The equipment here is always broken and don't get fix for a long time, last year the sauna was closed for two months, because it took two months to change the flooring which is a 2 days job, staff changes every couple months, this new staff is ridiculous, especially a couple of new trainers. Wow! I'm amazed at the reviews :( for probably the best "bang for your buck" gym in Seattle. It's a busy gym, and the cleaning staff do clean & are always nice. With a busy gym like this you can't expect messes or problems to just be taken care of ASAP. "Theres naked men in the locker room" Uhhhhhh yeah its the Men's locker room. Oh man I can't with you people. I love my gym, and these are my people! I can always go in and get a workout in, do some cardio, swim, jacuzzi, and sauna. Usually everything IS working and warm. I've lived next to LA Fitness for years and always avoided joining as I didn't think I would use the membership. A group of friends suggested taking a group class and I'm hooked. LA Fitness is far from perfect and can make numerous improvements to the facility. I joined just for the classes but I do hop a on a machine from time to time. They really need to scrub down their machines because they're full of dirt and grime from heavy use. With regards to the classes, I'm in love with the Body Works Abs class. The instructor Wendy is full of energy and really gets the class moving. Perfect workout and highly recommend. I also love going to sauna room and relaxing after a workout but it's pretty small and can get super crowded. I recommend going on non peak hours. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with LA Fitness for the price point. read more

I really tried to like this gym. I signed up because I thought LA Fitness was supposed to be a quality place to workout. I have been member for several years (since before the pandemic) because it was so close to where I lived in Burien. It isn't very clean and rarely had cleaning solution and napkins to wipe down equipment after use. I've been trying to cancel my membership for about a year because I got pregnant and had a baby, but they've made it so difficult to cancel. So, froze my account instead. I finally was able to make it in person to the location to cancel only to be told that no one could help me and the manager who was the only person who had the ability to cancel my membership was going to be out on his lunch break for the next hour. I went in again two weeks later and asked the person at the front desk if I could speak the the manager and he asked "Why?" And I said it was to cancel my membership. He was VERY rude and gave me LOTS of attitude when I explained that I have been trying to cancel my membership for a while because I was a new mom with a newborn at home and wasn't able to workout at their gym anymore because it was too out of the way and too challenging with a newborn. As he was finally cancelling my membership, I also inquired about the strange $70 charge on my account after I said I asked to freeze the account for $10 a month. He said that it was because my account was charged with the annual fee on top of the monthly membership fee a week ago. I asked if there was any way he could refund the annual fee because I had come in to the location two weeks ago to cancel but couldn't because he was on his lunch break. He got really defensive and gave me even more attitude, saying, "Well, there's nothing I can do... I don't charge your card. It's in the system. There's nothing I can do." Even if there wasn't anything that could be done, I wish they would work on being more empathetic and kind. The whole experience with the manager rubbed me the wrong way. Seemed like he was more concerned about keeping my $70 than being a decent human being. Such a bummer. read more

I have been going to this gym since I was like 17. It's been good at times but also not so much others and is progressively getting worse. Almost everyday I come in, either the toilet paper or paper towel machines are empty, there is garbage and pee out in the locker rooms. Sometimes even the cops show up because a homeless person broke into the locker rooms or something. Not bad, but not worth $44 a month! read more

My husband has had a membership for many years. He and several others meet Mon -Fri Mid morning. While he and others are generally satisfied they are recently disgusted and concerned. Despite reporting to the front desk personal daily these past 3 weeks EVERY hand sanitizer dispenser in the gym has been EMPTY .. (nasty for 3 weeks!) AND NO paper towel in mens room. Apparently, "corporate" only allows scheduled "supplies" order. Apparently whoever orders "supplies" has no idea of facility usage. 1. To prevent the spread of contagious disease LA fitness restrooms should be equipped with NO TOUCH AIR DRYERS. 2. LA Fitness is "nurturing" a health hazard. read more

Well for starters. This gym is soooo full can't workout without. Running into someone and the place is filthy punching bags are gross the weights are not in the slots. Got to go find them. And the equipment all needs service and the management is rude and unprofessional. My husband and I were members for less than 3 months after moving to the area. First off, the Burien location is crowded and it smells awful. Additionally, the low ceilings and weird lighting make it difficult to enjoy your work out. On top of the appearance and smell, the customer service from the front desk staff and trainers was abysmal. They play nice if you walk in as a new customer, but provide awful service to members. Whoever answers the phone is dismissive and apathetic. Plus, they never call back when trying to schedule a training session; Instead, they put you on a call list for unecessary promotions. Lastly, they force you to come into the facility to cancel you membership. When we arrived yesterday to cancel, they barely spoke to us and rudely said "okay it is cancelled" providing no further elaboration. We will never be returning to any LA Fitness gyms again thanks to this terrible experience. read more

This specific location is overall alright. It's not awful, but it is not the best, especially depending on when you come in. Consistently on Sunday's upon opening time at 8AM, whoever is suppose to be opening the gym is always late. However, when this particular individual is not there on a Sunday to open, the gym is actually open on time. So, it might just be one individual employee with poor planning to arrive on time. During the week, I usually come in between 5:30AM-7AM and for the most part the gym is prepped and clean for the day. There will be times when I do come in and there are absolutely no paper towels stocked or disinfect available to use to wipe down equipment. Not the end of the world, but I like to do my part and clean up after myself, especially if I leave any sweat behind. In regards to equipment, there is plenty of things to use here to workout. Lots of cardio machines and options; indoor cycles, treadmills, ellipticals, etc. The dumbbells go from 5LBS to 100LBS. If anything breaks or needs maintenance, it does seem to take some time before it gets fixed. read more

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A MEMBERSHIP HERE. I have tried FOUR times to contact the "Operations Manager" to discuss my membership billings and each time I get the same response. "Oh I am so sorry, we will give you a call tomorrow." I spoke to to an operations manager named Ryan who told me I'd receive a call "tomorrow". Tomorrow comes and I don't hear a word from them. This process repeats. I then call the gym and speak to a manager named Julian. I had asked if I can come in shortly after our call and he insisted I come in M-F (I called on a Friday at 11AM) from 9-5 to discuss the matter in person. Again, the same delayed response. It should not be this difficult to get assistance. I have reached out four times and have not gotten anywhere. I am so frustrated at their lack of customer service. Save yourself the time, money, and troubles and go to another location. read more

Busy during the busy times. Not busy during the not busy times. But SO busy at the busy times I finally have to admit defeat, and now I will only go to the W. Sea location, despite it being a ten-minute-longer drive. I simply can't compete with all the slow-moving couples sharing a machine for twenty minutes, or the seven high schoolers sharing a machine for 45. Looking around yesterday, I saw at least one people on every single machine in the gym (maybe a few empty treadmills), and some machines had two or three, or a waiting line. The same machines are continuously out of service. (I've been able to use the seated iso decline press maybe ten times while it was operational in the last year) and they continuously do not have enough barbells for all the benches and squat racks. Eleven places to put barbells, and only eight barbells in the entire gym. Maybe order more than a few bars at a time if this has been a continuous problem for years? (It has) If there's soap at any time in the men's locker room at any of the eight sinks, it's a miracle. W. Sea is smaller by far, and yet I can actually work out there. read more
