ZERO STARS. Trisha Hughes was my chiropractor. I believe she owns this practice. Never have I ever felt like the doctor didnt care about what i was saying or be short with me as much as this doctor was. She lacked professionalism and empathy. She looked at me like i was an easy target for money and insurance. CASH PRICES at most chiros ar ranged between 50 to 80 per adjustment. Ive called and asked around trust me. Come to find out shes is charging me 65 as a copay and 125 to my insurance per visit..... didnt know until i checked my records. This place is a scam and Trisha is the worst doctor i have ever done business with. Top it all off.... She doesnt remember me at all been there 4 times. Was told by her she developed a specific plan for my spine to get the curve back in it.... But couldnt even check my file before greeting me and knowing who your dealing with. I came here initially to engage in massage therapy via my medical insurance and had the opportunity to meet Dr. Hughes as i needed a referral from her first to begin services with one of her massage providers (Jeannie). Dr Hughes took some x-rays of my back (to which ive never had a chiropractic provider want to assess in that way). I was a high risk pregnant person who came to see Dr. Hughes for my pain.. and I'm glad I did! This place is down to earth and not at all pretentious so if you're looking for scented candles and a bunch of hoo hah this place isn't for you. I work in Redmond/Bellevue/Kent, and had a lot of other appointments to make and keep but they were always so accommodating even at the last minute! I could drop in or cancel an appointment a few hours before my scheduled time if I was feeling unwell. I even had the front desk pre schedule appointments and change the whole lot twice. I am sorry about that by the way, but thank you so much for never making me feel bad about my schedule changes. Being pregnant you really want to be in a safe place where you're not judged, you're comfortable, and you feel like you can come in pj shorts or sweats! Also you want to make sure the doc is competent, careful, and very aware of you and your growing baby. She was all of this! I can tell she really cared about both me and my baby, and wanted us to be well. Her adjustment helped me greatly and I without realizing, stopped having the pain I did before. I have a lot of respect for doctors, dentists, anyone in the health field including chiropractors because they work just as hard as anyone else to get where they are. It really gets on my nerves when people dismiss chiropractors as a health care provider when the level of competency and level of difficulty to get through chiropractor schooling is comparable to MDs. They're also providing you a service you know you cant get anywhere else so please be kind and respectful as you would anywhere else providing you medical services. Dr. Hughes also has a caring and very empathetic heart. This was something I was looking for while being pregnant. I was so hyper sensitive and hurting from a past trauma, I wanted to work with a good human being esp knowing they would be in contact with my body. I felt vulnerable, but she made me feel safe and cared for. That speaks volumes for me. I can get chiropractic service anywhere, but I can't get someone who genuinely cares about my well being and will take time out to thoroughly address my concerns and questions. I came here for several months in 2017 to heal back injuries from a car accident. The head chiropractor, Trisha Hughes gave adequate enough adjustments but would consistently miss one of my lower back areas. The stand-in chiropractor that would takeover while she was away on vacation was actually much more thorough and great at adjusting every single area of the body. My main concern with Trisha was her bedside manners. She referred to me as 'girl' and greeted me very informally every visit by saying 'heyyyy girl.' Which I didn't take umbrage with immediately because it was as if I was speaking to an old friend. So I of course responded naturally as if she were a friend and greeted her informally in return as 'Trisha.' Well, she did take issue with that and felt the need to tell me to call her 'Doctor Hughes.' I obliged of course and addressed her as 'Doctor' as she wished from then on but unfortunately she continued to address me informally as 'heyyyy girl' instead of Ms. Stallworth. I found this highly offensive and terribly rude on her part. It's oxymoronic to set the tone and address someone so informally and expect them to address you any differently. Her location was convenient but I have happily found better chiropractic care elsewhere that doesn't come with a side of pretentiousness. read more

After an auto accident, I went to this practice for neck pain. I have had massage therapy from Sonia and chiropractic adjustments from Dr. Hughes. Together, these efforts have been amazingly effective almost eliminating pain. I suffer from back/neck issues resulting from a car accident and had tried massage, physical therapy, acupuncture, etc. Though they all had their own benefits, none of those doctors understood my body and pain the way Dr. Hughes did. Prior to going there, I was frustrated by what I felt were just a bunch of doctors who didn't really care if I got better. I had x-rays before but they never told me anything helpful. When Dr. Hughes did x-rays, she took the time to go through each one and show me how my bones should look vs. how they did look - it was finally some validation that there really was something wrong. She genuinely cares about her patients getting better, which sadly is not always the case. I've seen more benefit than I ever expected from chiropractic care. Based on the initial consultation and x-rays I agreed to a 3 month plan. They wanted $1776.00 up front. I have never paid upfront for any type of medical services. I agreed to pay half. At the first months re-examination appointment, there was no effort to re-examine and check measurements taken on my initial appointment. When I questioned possibly reducing the three phases of treatment I was told to "do what I want". I was also told that if I adjusted the process "don't blame me if the pain returns".
