(my head moves back more than I thought, left arm position at impact etc) While the new student assessment isn't really a traditional golf "lesson", there's still a ton of things i learned watching the replays and will take that info back with me to practice. Ideally after this, you would then schedule your next "traditional" golf lessons to improve on the issues discussed. If I still lived in SD, I absolutely would come back for more lessons.

I watched 1,374 (or so it seems) YouTube videos and I still couldn't hit the driver straight, but after my first lesson with Fred, I now get it and got it! Yah more practice is required but I now know how to fix it as the ebb and flow of my skill narrows into solid muscle memory. As for my lovely wife, she went from playing a slicing croquet game to actually hitting golf balls straight and with some distance. Soft but firm, not like the old hard mats that felt like you were hitting off concrete and damaging your clubs. 5. Island Greens - so nice! These targets are priceless and make the range attractive. 6. Two putting greens - 1 is synthetic - take your pick. 7. A sand bunker practice area with real sand, not dirt! 8. Lighted at night to accommodate anyone's schedule. 9. A Golf Mart is on the premises, how convenient. You can demo clubs on a real range and not a simulator. Plus great customer service! 10. Before trying GOLFTEC, I went with a couple of private lessons as a complete newbie and didn't have…read morea brilliant time. The swing evaluation at GolfTEC really clicked with me though; you're provided with instant visual feedback (side view & down the line) and metrics on every swing. I walked out of there with the 3-month/10-lesson plan and it's been great fun! The swing evaulation fee was waived, and you even get a fitting thrown in for free also as part of the plan. That I enjoyed my time there is mainly down to the instructor, Don Luvsan, who's been a fantastic coach! Equal parts creative in his methodology, and patient in his delivery and reinforcement. He's a real asset to the facility and I've greatly appreciated my time under his tutelage. Thanks in no small part to Don, I've got a much more consistent swing, and I know why from all the visual feedback. In fact, I just posted my best score on a round this weekend, and have tons more confidence from any situation because we've walked through all of it during the sessions, and all the feedback and video summaries of my lessons are in the online portal if ever I need a refresher. They've got a great sale (which appears to be annual) through the month of August, so I'd encourage you to give Don a call for a swing evaluation and see if the coaching resonates with you. Mileage may vary, but with the 'Game Plan' i signed up for, you get to practice at the facility 3 times a week outside of your usual lesson. I just went through the full bag fitting this past weekend at TaylorMade Aviara Performance Center…read morewith my man, Ben Spector, what an awesome experience. The technology is totally impressive, from the typical Virtual hitting metrics to the 3D mapping of your swing path, to the roll of your golf ball during putting! I am a long time TaylorMade user so I was excited to try out the new SiM2 woods and irons. Ben expertly fitted me with a 1/2" longer shaft as I am 6'3" and getting older, appreciate proper spine position more than ever. He also hooked me up with a driving iron for the 4 and 3 iron as I am not a fan of utility clubs and those babies were sweet. Getting the ball up with my fairway 3wood has been a challenge so we went with a 1.5% increase in loft to really make this easy. Finally, I went with the new Spider putter with 45 degree beveled ridges on the face, great feel. Ben was great to work with. It was the fastest 3.5 hrs of my life.
