Brett S arrived promptly, inspected the water heater and asked some questions, and then he explained two options, a fix of a pressure valve or a new water heater. Ryan called and explained pricing for each option. I chose replacing the heater, since it was 8 years old and already out of warranty. And Brett S., with help from Caleb B. who came to assist, was able to complete the installation that same afternoon. Everyone was professional and courteous, their pricing was reasonable, and they didn't try and upsell other services in a pushy manner as I've experienced with others in the past. Early the next morning, I had a message from Adam B. Once I got to work, I returned the call and quickly described my issue and what I believed it to be. The first available appointment wasn't until Monday (it wasn't urgent, so I wasn't worried about going the weekend). I got my timeframe. I had a couple other appointments that day, so I ended up taking the day off so I could easily be available. I immediately liked that they told me who would be arriving - AND that was who arrived. I also liked that they use a customer portal that allows you to have some security if you pay online or to review your records. Christian arrived (there was one other person with him). It took him a couple minutes to diagnose the issue he believed it to be, and it took him not a lot longer to determine that diagnosis correct. He quoted the price, I agreed, and he got to work. After finishing the work, he determined the original issue I'd believed it to be wasn't quite needing to be addressed (but will be in the near future). We discussed options, including ways I could save a bit. Christian was personable and explained things in a way I could understand. The issue was likely caused by me, but he managed to avoid using the word "idiot" at any point. The repair was done in a timely manner. The price ended up being a bit lower than quoted. I appreciated his honesty as he very easily could have pointed me toward a repair not needing done yet. It also became obvious the last person I'd used had really only done half the job. Everything has worked beautifully since Christian finished. There are likely a couple more projects I'll tackle in the near future, and I won't hesitate to return to Grateful Plumber. The housecall was $59, but that was credited toward the repair once I decided to have them do the work. Friendly employees. Good follow-through. Fair pricing. Quality work. Problem solved. That's 5-star for me and another winner for Yelp's project feature.

I work first shift and when I got home from work the next day, my house was blazing hot. I tried to get in contact with the technician who made basic recommendations for me to check my breaker box and to make sure that he plugged something back in on the outside of the house. All of those things were fine. I made an appointment for someone to come back out the following day. It is the middle of summer in 95° in my house. I had to go to Sam's Club and purchase a window air-conditioning unit just so I could sleep that night. Attached you will see that receipt that is timestamp. I have asked Peighton from Mr Quick to reimburse me for this window unit in my time and stress. He said that he would not be replacing my money because his assistant tried to contact me before I bought the air-conditioning unit. I will leave a screenshot with the voicemail that she left and also has a time stamp. It turns out that their bright technician failed to flip some kind of switch on the unit itself. This was only discovered because the following day I had someone from the same company out, looking at some plumbing issues and I brought up what happened the previous day and he was able to fix it. Steve told me the stopper was seemed stuck and he wouldn't be able to do any work unless I approved the estimate which stated "Clear clog with no drain machine" for $288! I questioned them about the service fee. It does not include any service - They should call it an estimate fee. I had a handyman come out and he took out the stopper and cleaned the hair there. I checked yelp and saw that seriously 24/7 had some pretty good reviews, however several mentions to them being expensive. Like, obscenely expensive. I figured, Aside from the $159 emergency fee, how bad could it really be for parts that cheap? I called and the lady taking my call was pleasant and they got someone out about 1.5 hours later. The cost would be $159 plus any work to be done. The guys who came were friendly enough, and then they hit me with the cost. This is where the I almost fell over. They wanted $587 to replace the fill valve (nothing wrong with the water shut off). Or, they could replace the toilet for me for $1200? Are you actually kidding me? Seriously they were not. Since I already had $159 invested in this, a couple of hours of wait and a renter waiting for me, it didn't make sense for me to then head to Home Depot for my parts on a Sunday night and have it take any more time. For God sakes I could have gotten a whole toilet and a ring and replaced it myself for $150 if I had another hour. Seriously disgusted, I agreed to that price and in 10 minutes my problem was fixed. Oh great, it comes with a year warranty! Awesome, considering I could always replace it for $15 if i needed. (Looked up the exact part at any box store). Glad I have a functioning toilet but don't be like me and think to yourself "how bad can it actually be?"Because it will be worse.
