The previous owners had "maintenance" contract setup so we decided to continue it the last 5 years. Each time the techs come I am uncomfortable with the pressure they put on and the general sketchy feel I get from the techs (never the same one twice - they seem to have high turnover). These guys have CONSISTENTLY recommended extra charges, repairs, replacement for our units that were unnecessary. Once we were able to research and repair our a/c unit ourselves for less than $100 they they quoted over $500. Most recently, the tech gave a $2500 quote to repair our furnace unit but immediately said it wasn't worth it and set up for us to get quotes for them to replace it (those quotes were from $10-22k). After getting a second opinion (different company), it was repaired DURING the service call for $125! This tech said the unit was in great condition and simply needed the snow cleared from the intake pipe. The second tech assured us that we should get another 5-10 years from our furnace after Summer's has tried to get us to replace it consistently the last 2 years. We had Summers come out for our regular maintenance. The person who came out told us that there was a crack in our heat exchanger. Quotes were for $20-$30,000 for the new system! :0 He showed us a pic that now we know was not from our furnace. We were told we needed a whole new system and were given 3 quotes. I called another company and they came out. Result: nothing was wrong. We dropped our service with Summers. read more

I had my new ac/heat pump put in in May, 2020. It is still under warranty and I have had an ongoing service contract with this company even before I had my unit installed. In the past two years I have been "solicited" by every maintenance person to purchase some "expensive" part or unit or service that I do not need. In addition, I sought a second opinion on my heater, and I was informed that I had only 2 screws holding my front unit to the heater left, and there was a part in my heat pump that is ready to burn out. It was a mother board or something like that. I told this to Summers, and no one called me back to talk about the part that was burnt out. Mind you, I have a 10 year warranty. After speaking with CJ, someone came out asap and replaced the mother board, put in the screws and gave me a free year service contract. Now, I also ended up having a whole water filtration system put in. It is time to replace the filter. I called CJ and he had Brady call me. Brady called and told me which filters to get and I asked him to walk me through it. Brady said, why I don't come out and do it for you. I also stated there was a part that was supposed to be replaced in my heat pump that was never completed because they forgot about it. Brady checked it out and "I" told him it was under warranty still. I text him that I got the filters, nothing for 5 days, I text him again, Did you get this, He answers to me "I just saw this, I'm sorry, I can see about tomorrow, I'll have to check my schedule, what is your address again". I told him in a text. He further stated in a text "We won't be able to get out today but I can get u on the scheduled for a day that works for you. We do have a minimum charge of $136.00. But from there, we can show you how to do it and you won't have to pay us again. I send back the next day, Does that include the part for the heater that was never done, CJ knows about this. That was this past Tuesday and it is Sunday, May 10th and no answer back. After this service contract is over and after I contact the office of the CEO, I am THROUGH with this company!! read more

We have used your service twice in the last year. We were amazed by the speed our problems were addressed. We will be moving our contract for our heating and cooling services as soon as our current contract ends (April 2025). The speed that you responded on a Sunday morning after a storm was fantastic. The employees are super nice. However, they will do whatever it takes to try and upsell you and to try and talk you into buying a whole new system when it's not even warranted! Do not trust them!! I had loved my service up until now, but they keep trying to get me to buy new, when it's not necessary. I cannot afford to keep buying new systems every time I turn around. Had to get a new HVAC after piecing together a 13 year old all electric system over the past 2 years. Upgraded to a gas/electric HVAC and couldn't be more pleased. Weather has gotten cold fast and this system works so much better than our last system. Our house is so cozy and comfortable - we have a better warranty and the gas option is more energy efficient. read more

Okay, I'm dropping summers. I've had them for three years, never payed any attention just blindly trusted them. But and however, my furnace had a yearly checkup, they told me everything looks fine but considering it's age, it probably would be a good idea on replacing it before it goes out and doing it soon as possible because of the pandemic scheduling and prices. I said I'll think about it... They leave and I notice the heater isn't coming on. I called them back telling them it hasn't worked since they inspected it. They come back, take an hour looking at it and tell me they think it's dead, the main board is fried and the only way to know would be to order another board and swap them out but that would cost me nearly $1,000 so I'm probably better off just replacing it and they quoted me new ones. Well, I ended up paying another company to come out to look it over because I didn't like how convenient it stopped working after they inspected it and tried selling me a new one felt to me. This guy came out for $85 fee and told me within 5min it was just the capacitor and replaced it for $30 while laughing at summers maintenance guys at what they said and did and missed, and like magic it works like a champ again. Be warned, about summers watch them. I had this feeling before when my AC was inspected and plumbing. Now I know I was right about them. Because this whole new team that came doing the follow up home inspection just made them embarrassingly exposed and looking like con artist. read more

No Confidence in Summers/Noblesville I'm very dissatisfied with their service, especially from the lack of response from their management! I've been using their maintenance service agreement for several years on my 5 year old HVAC system. Over the past three years, Summers performed several repairs to the heat-pump, with duplicating some repairs. During the last routine service, the junior technician apparently caused the system to shut down as he was checking the heat-pump. He promptly called a senior technician to come over and check out the problem. The senior technician worked on the system for several minutes and unceremoniously told me the new repairs would cost $4700. I refused to approve the work and called the office to speak to a manager about the service call and repeated repairs. The secretary politely took all my information and said it might be 48 hours for him to call back. Several days went by without a call back, so I called another factory authorized company to evaluate the system. They checked out the system and discovered it to be overcharged with "Freon" gas; they rebalanced the system and found the heat-pump working normally. I placed a second call to Summers to talk to a manager, but again no one had the courtesy to respond. Several of previous Summers' repairs were for Freon leaks, sealing, and adding additional Freon at my expense. read more

Let it suffice to say that I am very disappointed with Summers. I've used their services several times in the past when I've encountered a plumbing issue, and they were always most responsive and courteous in fixing the problem. So I had no reservations about contacting them this weekend when I had an unexpected problem with my water heater. But it became obvious from the moment I spoke with their service representative by telephone (at 5:20 p.m. Saturday afternoon) that he was not enthralled with the idea of paying me a service call. Nonetheless, he reluctantly agreed to do so after completing two jobs that were ahead of me. That was the last time I heard from him. By 10:30 p.m. , he was still a "no show." I would have at least expected a courtesy call from him offering an explanation for his absence, but I didn't even get that consideration. Nothing irritates me more than when a contractor makes a commitment to me and then doesn't fulfill it. Summers - if you're listening, you need to have a conversation with this technician about his customer service skills and keeping commitments that he makes. Because you can bet that if he's done this to me, he has already - or will, do the same to another customer. read more

Called and scheduled an appointment for a few weeks ago to clean the coils and inspect our ac before it really got hot out. The day of the service they called and cancelled because there were more pressing jobs. Fast forward to now and my ac is not working, called Mower and they came over within a couple hours and found my line is frozen and more than likely due to a freon leak. The system has been working but not the greatest for a little bit now and would have been caught during the service I scheduled before the heat wave... Don't advertise a service and then cancel, when you preach about continual maintenance and then do not have time for it I can tell you it's extremely frustrating. read more

Sumers is the only company we've had experience with, and I can't imagine using anyone else! We've had Nick both times we've had issues (a failed sump pump and failed back up battery), and he has be been beyond helpful! He takes the time to thoroughly answer our many questions, and explains things in layman's terms so we can fully understand the process. Nick even gave us a heads up on future issues we may experience with our water heater and gave us a written estimate so that we can start planning ahead. We joined the Sumer's monthly plan which has saved us a lot of money on service visits and the service work itself? So I highly would recommend considering that option. I forgot one of the first rules of supply and demand. The one that says once you pay for something in advance... like a maintenance agreement... you become the LAST priority for service. Over a 6 week wait just to have routine maintenance. It is clear this company is preying on consumers who initiate these kinds of contracts. Keep control of the situation and don't sign these agreements. Make Summers compete for your business. With service agreements... you lose the ability to force them to compete. read more

Our technician, Jeremy, was very punctual. When he came in he immediately put his orange booties on and went to work. He was very professional in his inspection and confirmed what we already knew in one bathroom. With the exception of the one bathroom we passed the inspection. Jeremy gave us helpful advice in the settings on our water heater. Once done with the inspection I asked him if he could repair the problem in the guest bathroom and he said he could, and he did. He had one more run before he could visit me, & he was right on time. The tech was very polite & professional. I was fortunate to have a minor problem. The tech showed me how to deal with it & how to read the error codes on my furnace should I have any further problems. He priced some other services I was interested in & explained the yearly plan (which I declined). No hard sell, & no attempt to take advantage of my emergency repair situation. I am very pleased with the full furnace and A/C installation that I had completed on my home today by Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling out of Brownsburg. The ancient furnace, which came with the home my wife I just purchased, was putting out anemic heat and eventually had a seizing blower motor.
