The good: Service was friendly The biscuits were fresh & quite good The hash browns were well cooked The less than stellar: Everything tasted like it had been frozen or from a mix. Food was very similar to college cafeteria food. It took almost 30 minutes to get food The waffle was dry, not flavorful, & unsweet The chicken was dry & bland- definitely frozen The hash definitely came out of a can, it was still can shaped. The over easy eggs were more over medium The bathroom was.... weird. The light was controlled by somewhere outside & everything smelled falsely sweet & was just a little damp Worst was when we took the lid off the pepper shaker to see why it wasn't coming out... gross. We've been in twice. The food is good and the prices are a rollback to 10 years ago. The wait staff are nice. Both times on a Sunday morning, was a little busy but plenty of room. Second time we had some service issues, but it seemed a result of disorganization not indifference. Good place to stop and eat if you're passing through or new in town. read more

We love this place! Hole in the wall places are our favorite! Worth the drive when leaving Tulsa. Friendly waitstaff, huge menu and breakfast all day. Just seat yourself and they come to you. So, this morning I go into Steak and Eggs to grab breakfast before heading to my office. As always, the waitress greets me with a smile, the establishment is welcoming, and I find me a sit. I give my order and began watching some Eric Thomas on YouTube. There are other people in the restaurant and it seems to be a "normal" stop in Steak and Eggs. All of a sudden, I hear "WHO IN HERE VOTED FOR BIDEN"? The question is being yelled across the restaurant by an older white gentleman sitting with his wife. As he is waiting for a response he then says "WHOEVER VOTED FOR BIDEN MEET ME OUTSIDE SO I CAN KICK YOUR ASS!!!". AT NO TIME did a waitress nor manager intervene and ask the gentleman to lower his tone, stop harassing other customers, change his conversation, or leave the establishment if he cannot be respectful!!! NOTHING. They continue walking around like it is normal behavior. So, after not getting a response, he yells the question approximately five more times. So, I raise my hand and say "I did!". Now I have been in this restaurant several times before, you could almost say I am a regular. I have held numerous conversations with other customer, I am always told of how well mannered my children are, and the waitress never seem to have a problem engaging in various conversations. After I answer his wife points in my direction and I can see she is showing him that I was the one who said "I did". This man begins to ask me if I voted for Biden for the free money and housing and becomes SUPER disrespectful continuing to say hateful things. (Now, had I been a man would he have felt so freely to say the things he was saying? I highly doubt it. Had I been with other people? I doubt it. And MOST important if Steak and Eggs did not cultivate and make him feel validated in his behavior would he have done it? I HIGHLY doubt it!!!!) And again, AT NO TIME did a waitress nor manager intervene and ask the gentleman to lower his tone, stop harassing other customers, change his conversation, leave the establishment if he cannot be respectful!!! NOTHING. They are still walking around like it is normal behavior. As a paying customer I decided to take my business elsewhere. There is NO way I am going to provide waitresses and business owners the opportunity to live their quality life on my dime if they refuse to create a safe environment while I am in their establishment. As I exited Steak and Eggs, I explained to the waitress my concerns and that I would not be having my normal breakfast, how they could have intervened, and how I would not be returning for business. Their response was "we apologize! We don't know why he is being like that. We have never heard him talk like that. He doesn't even live here. He lives in Texas." But if they are willing to lose a "regular" customer for sometimes customer that is their right. I really wished the waitress were trained to stop these situations prior to them escalating and causing them to loss a customer. After all the owners of the stores aren't affording them their life style. It's the customer tips that give them their income. Most so, business owner should want to create a safe environment allowing them mor business from more people in the town. I experienced a similar problem like this at Kirby's, you can go read the review, and now this one. I really don't want to believe that it's a town problem rather a character flaw but I am not being left with much more to believe. These situations are preventable. As a business owner I know that firsthand. The moment business owner steps up and say enough is enough and we will value every customer that walks through our door DESPITE, the persons doing this behavior will STOP!!! There are no excuses for this. Simply people who are create environments that make hateful people feel comfortable to say things that they KNOW they wouldn't say in different environments. Absolutely great. Stopped with the grandkids going to Texas. Was seated immediately, drink order taken and brought. All in one fell swoop. After hand washing, waitress was there to take our orders. Kids short stack w/bacon and side if sausage patties, kids cheeseburger, 1 egg breakfast/hash browns, sausage patty and large pancake and "lite" chef salad. Way, way too much. "Lite" chefs salad was enough for 2 people. Loaded with ham, turkey, cheese, eggs and a pineapple ring. Everything was delicious and cooked to order except the cheeseburger. It was dry, the kiddo didn't want to eat it. But loved the pancake. Coffee was good also. So, 5 stars as their adult burgers are probably much better than the kids. The service is pretty good i would say, but the restaurant is not clean and smells like cigarettes. The food isn't as good as it could be.

Bad!!!!! Biscuits were doughy on the inside basically raw. Eggs ordered over medium was closer to over easy. Bacon wasn't cooked well and sausage was over cooked. Service was extremely slow. Everything was lukewarm at best. Definitely the last time we'll stop. read more

When you first walk thru the door you're hit with the smell of urinal cakes, dirty ashtray, and a dirty mop. The service is poor and the food is nothing but grease. Nothing about this place shows that the staff even care about cleaning and sanitizing anything. There was a tray of pre made biscuits sitting on the counter covered in flys. The floor was sticky and greasy and the chairs had a nice film on them so you wouldn't slide off of them. After walking in and waiting to be seated for over 5 minutes and never seeing one employee we decided to leave after I walked around the place to fully check out the filth. Located on the west side of I-75, hard to miss. The building doesn't look in the best shape, interior could use some work too but that's part of the charm. The place is clean, with not much decorations. The menu and tables are plastered with local advertisements. They offer everything from your typical breakfast staples, to sandwiches, steaks and weekly comforting specials. My typical order is the ham steak breakfast. $13.99 gets you a meal that leaves you full for the next day and half. They give you a slice of ham, topped with a grilled pineapple, that takes up a whole plate by itself. Eggs cooked to order and the compliments of your choosing whether it be grits (my personal favorite), pancake, or homemade biscuit and gravy (also good, but easily makes this meal cross the line of excessive) and toast or an english muffin. The eggs are really cooked to order and in butter. Never had a bad experience there. Staff is friendly. Probably the only restaurant I know in existence that still has a smoking section, that seems as big or bigger than the non-smoking area. read more

We passed through this seemingly small town on the way to summer camp in The Ozarks. I was not too happy about going to Missouri since I had to give up my Jimmy Buffet and Family Values concert tickets. I was already thinking about a "Detroit Rock City" exit strategy when we stopped for the buses to fuel up. My smothered steak was cooked perfect with grilled onions, bell pepper and fresh mushrooms. The veggies were steamed firm. My husband order chicken fried steak, the portion was generous and perfectly seasoned. The grits was the largest creamiest portion we've ever been served and the English muffin was crispy and huge. The Diet Pepsi had a lot of fizzle, it was perfect. The waitress was quick, friendly and eager to please us. The only reason it didn't get a five was because it felt weird in the inside of the place, it needed an overhaul as far as decor and the sunroom needed a do over. We have been to Steak and Eggs many times. The service was hit and miss. Our tips reflected the poor service. We learned which tables to sit at to get good service and our tips reflected good service, also. The last time we went there, the service was terrible and the food was worse. When I called to make a complaint, I was told my money would be credited back to my card. After a week without a credit back to my card, I called again. I was told I would have to make police report to get a refund. WHAT? I have never heard of such a thing! So, we have decided to NEVER go there again!
