I contacted Kirei cleaning after my pre-arranged cleaners didn't show up for my move out cleaning. Julio quickly responded and booked me in. The cleaner Maggie showed up on time with her own cleaning supplies and did a fantastic job with the suite. She pulled out fridge and oven to clean underneath and also cleaned the cracks by the washer/dryer which was missed when I moved in. She also did a great job with the balcony which again was cleaner than when I moved in. Moving is stressful and having a reliable service like Kirei helps to take that stress off. We've had Kirei come in twice this summer (and a couple of times in the past) and the last time Nayely and Tatiana were our cleaners, and did a great job. They were thorough and communication was no problem. The only feedback I have is regarding scheduling. The first time, the cleaners were a 1/2 hour early and we had to scramble to get out of the house, and this time they apologized for being late but they were actually 10 minutes early, so the internal communication needs work. Both times I was clear about the start times, and that later is preferred to being early. Also, I tried to schedule a cleaning in advance and was told of openings that same day which I didn't want. They never got back to me about the original day that I wanted. It's as if they are just trying to book back to back with no regard for clients who actually want to plan ahead. It would be great if we could arrange for the same cleaners to come in every time, since the last two did such a nice job, and we would be willing to arrange our dates around that, but the last time I inquired about that, I was told it wouldn't be possible. The quality of cleaning varies with the people who are you are assigned. After giving them a few chances, we decided to go with a private cleaner who is less expensive and more reliable. read more

The attention to detail was splendid, and they did not require very much guidance at all. The girls are friendly and work hard and efficiently, but there were some language barriers that meant I needed to further communicate with the office when things were missed. As a result I feel that I was very patient. It took a few months of bi-weekly cleans for the cleans to be brought to the level required. It was very important to me, and communicated as such that scheduling not be an issue. The night before my last clean, which was a Sunday, Julio called to advise that the team may be late or not come at all. I texted back that they should be on time. The next morning he confirmed they would be on time. I prepared for them coming, which involves putting my cat in his carrier. Five minutes before they were supposed to arrive he called to inform me they would not be coming. He offered no apology, no credit off my service, no offer of another scheduled appointment asap. What he tried to do was have another team come for half the time at my expense and he was very rough in his handling of me on the phone. I reminded him that if I had cancelled like this he would charge me for the service. I expected some form of compensation, but instead he hung up on me. I was at the point where if I could have Janet and Helica once a week for an hour I would have stayed with them forever, but would never consider going back after the way I was treated and spoken to by Julio. read more

Terrible to deal with, and did a terrible cleaning job. Do not use. Changed the appointment time several times with no apology or explanation. Claimed to need an additional hour (with 3 people), for 3 hours total, for an EMPTY 1400 sf townhouse with brand new carpets. Even after 3 people for 3 hours, and $300, we had to get another cleaning crew. I told Julio this, and offered to send pictures. He had no interest in any feedback, and instead harassed me via text for payment (which I told him I intended to make). I assumed a business owner would want to know if his team was not delivering good service. Based on reading other reviews here, I suspect Julio is going to claim that I was not a client, as he has with other negative reviews. I was definitely a client. read more

The team that they sent did not speak English and needed the manager to translate everything for them at the beginning of their shift, who left afterwards. To be specific, they spoke Spanish. As a result of this English barrier, I wouldn't hire them again because they do not understand your instructions and start cleaning things that you don't want cleaned. If you call their main line and raise an issue, they'll start yelling at you that they don't need your business and that they have enough. Cultural differences... you never start yelling at a customer over the phone. That's seriously not customer service, but abuse. There's better ways to solve problems then go on a verbal rampage. Two stars because I got a soft spot for recent immigrants trying to making a living. read more

This review is a few months late, and I'm planning on giving them a ring in a day or so, and I wanted to leave this review before I do. In saying that : These guys are amazing! I had them come over to my townhome ( 1300 sq ft) when I was in the process of moving out, and they had a special going on. They arrived a little early, with all of their crew there at the same time. They asked all the right kinds of questions on what were my expectations on the cleaning, and occasionally re-confirmed some spots that looked a little dirtier. They were aware that they were on the clock ( on my dime ) and they didn't want to give the appearance that they were trying to take up time for the cleaning. They were very thorough, even in some cases standing on kitchen countertops to do the cleaning. They did bring their own cleaning equipment / etc., but I did offer to them they could use my vacuum and wet-wipes for cleaning, and I believe one of them did end up using some of it ( which was fine since I offered it ). My tip for you, with them is, try to make sure that the cleaners are cleaning everything you wanted to be clean, and they will gladly do it. Doesn't mean you should watch them like a hawk, but if you want them to do some spot cleaning on a very specific place, they will do so. Very friendly staff. The person I had dealt with was Julio. They were very receptive to text messaging, which was convenient. They were prompt in their responses, as well. I will definitely use Kirei again. You can't go wrong with them. read more

We have scheduled a home cleaning with them about 4-5 times in the past 6 months. On the plus side, they are easy to schedule with over the phone. On the minus side, the cleaning quality is superficial, the cleaners often arrived 10-15 minutes late (which is OK), but then always want to leave 10-15 minutes early even though we have paid for 2 full hours of cleaning (saying they had to catch a bus), and on top of that, have asked us to tip them. We no longer use them, there are more professional cleaners available for $30 per hour. read more

It's surprising how different a place can feel once you know, see, and feel that it's clean. The team did amazingly with my move-in and carpet cleaning and now I finally feel like my new place can be my home. The guy doing my carpet steam cleaning showed me the water from the steaming and I'm SO glad I got them steam cleaned! It may look clean on the surface but in actuality the carpets were so gross especially when comparing the before and after!! So these guys are good enough that I would refer them and possibly use them again, but it wasn't without its issues. Pros: - Good communication - Decent price - Overall satisfactory cleaning job Cons: - The place didn't smell great after. I had to air it out. It was clean, just had some funk in the air... I don't want to speculate what it was... but it cleared up. - They put the most sticky branding stickers everywhere. These are the toughest, most impossible to remove stickers I have even encountered. Not impressed. - They ended up needing more time than anticipated, increasing the cost and expected initial price. read more

We called inn and used their carpet cleaning service, Julio was very understanding and patient with me after rebooking many times for the carpet cleaning service, he also gave me a good deal for our apartment. Marlo and Irinka arrive after calling an hour before to confirm the scheduled cleaning. I also asked them on moving the big sectional couch we have so they can clean the underneath, and even ask them on helping me rearrange and carry some of heavy furnitures, I was pleased as they did. They answered my e-mail within a day which was impressive. Unfortunately this was out of our budget at the moment, especially for the flat hourly rate for a small area of cleaning. Ahhhhh nothing like coming home to a clean home! As a new mom (with a 3 month old baby) in a 1000 sq-ft Yaletown apartment, I have to prioritize things when I finally get a break during my baby's naps (that usually includes eating, showering, or napping myself... not cleaning my floors and windows). So... what a wonderful surprise when I got home to a spotless house after hiring Kirei! Clean floors, kitchen, bathrooms, windows etc... no dust anywhere! And the toilet paper rolls were even folded like in hotel rooms. Who knew such a little thing would leave such a big impression? The fact they use natural products is also great - as I don't want chemicals around the baby. Julio is great and easy to work with - any questions or requests are quickly and professionally answered by phone or text (perfect for a new mom with a sleeping baby) - and Claudia and Marcela listened to exactly what I really needed (they cleaned the dust from under our bed and even found a few missing socks) and got straight to work to get it all done professionally and efficiently. I have been using Kirei's cleaning services for a few months now. They have always been punctual, professional and most importantly, they clean the house really well. Our house is just over 4,000sq ft., there are usually two cleaners and it takes them about three hours. I strongly recommend their services. I love the convenience of being able to text Mindy, their schedule coordinator, at any time. But---as with every company, they're growing at a fast rate and expanding their coverage. Which only means there is now a wait time so make your request for cleaners early enough to guarantee yourself the time slot. They're worth the wait and time. We have used their services several times now. All for deep cleaning. Some of the ladies don't speak much English but we didn't find this a barrier to their cleaning abilities at all. They do a very good job and work hard. The communication with Mindy and Julio is always prompt. Kudos to that. The reason why I'm not giving a perfect feedback is because a couple times they wanted to come in early and I wasn't ready for them. Sometimes it is an inconvenience, especially if you want to say yes to them coming early. Today, we were late for our cleaning service and was not able to do the full 3 hours. We thought Julio was going to make us pay for the tardiness but instead he came up with a solution (sent 3 maids for 2 hours instead of 2 maids for 3 hours). Thank you Julio. Good company, but they just fired me. Why? they spilled cleaning fluid on laminate and didn't notice so it swelled the boards and they had to be replaced. they agreed to pay for repairs...no problem but did not deal with the problem themselves. instead, i (a tennant) had to find suitable contractors, get a quotes, stay at home while they installed etc. Julio never called to follow up or to check on the work. They then asked me to pay for the cleaning visit when the spill occurred. I asked if this could be free since i coordinated everything. the owner's response? "Unfortunately we can not accept this kind of " charges " Please find another cleaning company, we won't be able to come back anymore. Good luck." No call. Just this. Good cleaners, polite but english challenged. Sometimes missed things, but not much. Overall i'm simply disappointed at the company. They drive around in painted cars and look pro, but when it comes to actually knowing what customer service means...like so many others, they have no clue. read more

I unfortunately cannot recommend this company. They were late, then tried to leave early with the same pay. I had to argue with them to stay to finish their time. Cleaning wasn't great - dirt marks on floor after mopping, vacuuming was poor. Manager never responded to our complaints. I think they're going downhill. read more

Just had my monthly Town house cleaning and wanted to say that Janet and Aura did a fantastic job, my place sparkles!

I appreciate how fast they were in responding and setting up a time for me. However, they did a post-reno cleaning job for my condo and the results were sub-par at best. I left very specific instructions for them to clean up any paint drops left by the painter and there was still paint splatter on the floor, glass and mirrors after they were done. I'd also asked them to help remove some trash, which was not done. Perhaps they are better for just regular household cleaning. read more
