Went to see Dr. Jeremy for a first time chiropractor visit to see if he could help with my long term sciatica. After 2 visits and readjustment, I could not walk properly I was in so much pain. I went in to see Dr. Jeremy again and he said that since the pain started 72 hours after my adjustment it must be my fault. I was in so much pain that I had to visit the ER twice to help get better and it took 4 weeks. Not only did Dr. Jeremy not listen to the pain I was in, he made it seem like my fault. I was also surprised that the clinic never followed up to see how I was doing, since I could barely walk when I left the clinic for the last time. Just not my kind of doctor. read more

I received an adjustment by Jeremy Heisler to my hip that permanently injured the left side. After the adjustment my hips felt turned when I was walking. When I described what happened to him my next visit he just kind of shrugged and wanted to adjust my hips again. A decade later I still have to do P.T. to keep the pain in my hips and lower back down. This is just a warning that if you have a chiropractor work on you there absolutely is the chance more damage may happen that is worse than your initial issue, and permanent. So new in town and always afraid to find a new chiropractor because let's face it it could go seriously wrong. But My neck and back were seriously out of wack and it was the 23rd of December so I knew everything was going to be closed for the next few days. They got me in later that day no problem, even as a new patient. Everyone in the office was very friendly and helpful. Having a regular chiropractor in my old town, I was pretty aware of all my back issues but was really grateful how quickly Dr Heisler picked up on them and his willingness to help me. This is one of the better, if not best chiropractic offices I've been too. Every time I enter I feel welcomed and important. All the staff here are fantastic, always smiling and in great moods. The doctors here are also just as great, very knowledgeable and know what they're doing. Plus they don't beat me up and when they have to are very cautious of how they handle my back. It's really convenient for me to just pop in and be out in 10 minutes for a readjustment as well. The massages are also amazing as well, Anisa was great and so nice and helpful! Having had back problems for 15+ years that have only worsened since having a baby, I've had more than my fair share of chiropractic visits. I made an appointment at Kirkland Life Chiropractic accidentally - I thought I was calling a different office in Kirkland, but they sounded so kid-friendly, I decided to stick with them. And they are SUPER kid-friendly. I usually have to schedule any appointments I make around babysitters, but I decided to see how it would really work if I took my 15 month old son with me, since they said it was ok. Everyone there was really warm, payed lots of attention to my son and happily looked after him for a few minutes while I went off to get x-rayed. Even the room I was in was kid-friendly. I chased after my son as he opened a couple cabinet doors and tried to pull things out and Dr Heisler told me not to worry about it, there was nothing in there that he could mess up. I just found this aspect of their office to be a huge relief and REALLY convenient. Ok, but how are their services? I've only had a few visits thus far, but I was really happy with the initial visit. (I go back again tomorrow.) It seems my last couple chiropractic visits have gotten more and more in-depth (I used to just go get adjustments, then I had a chiro in Santa Monica who did a full on assessment of my back, while I was pregnant, and I learned a couple things I'd never known before (curvature and other weirdness). Then at this office, they assessed and also did x-rays, which I hadn't had done before. I have high hopes that they'll be able to get me fixed up, once and for all, and I might actually be able to lay or sleep on my back again without waking up in searing pain, and that all my mysterious neck pain that comes and goes will ease up. I've lived with it all for so long, it's hard to imagine it all actually going away completely, so we'll see! Edit: I went for about two weeks but eventually stopped and have since sought out another chiropractor. I realized I wasn't eager to return to Kirkland life. I had some acupuncture done on my lower back (cupping) and no exaggeration - it completely released my lower back and I have had about a 90% improvement for months, now. Which kind of backs up the voice in my head that really thought all the x rays and traction weren't right. As I've found a new chiro now, that I LOVE (for upper back and neck issues), I realize that I prefer the more "old school" hands on approach. The xrays and machines just felt like overkill. And I REALLY REALLY REALLY HATED the dogmatic approach of Kirkland Life - It was annoying that I had to read pamphlets every week & then got "quizzed" on them (Just a couple of questions asked about what I read.) It's not a huge deal but the information feels a bit like propaganda to me - it's not so much information about the physiology of the spine and things that might be useful, but "information" that repeats the mantra that your spinal health is EVERYTHING. It would pretty much lead you to believe that if you don't see a chiropractor, you are destined to die of heart disease or cancer. I'm a big advocate of natural health - we never have processed foods in the house, I cook all the time and do 90% of my shopping at Farmer's Markets, my doctor & ob/gyn plus my son's pediatrician is a naturopath, and I never take prescription medications - I rely on natural methods for headaches, colds, etc. And even *I* found all the information a little annoying. As one other reviewer mentioned, there's also a one hour and 45 minute class that they want you to attend. I didn't want to, plus asking me to commit an hour and 45 minutes of one of my evenings is actually asking a lot and wasn't easy for me to schedule. I just kept refusing and saying I couldn't squeeze it in. So, just be prepared. I think better care can be found elsewhere, without all the pressure. read more

I have a pretty erratic work/life schedule so it was hard for me to get in initially but when I did I went and saw Mo (Maureen). She is AMAZING. And she really know's her stuff. I tell her what hurts, what I have been doing and she takes care of it. I highly recommend her if you need deep tissue massage and/or are an athletic person who gets sore from workouts. I was going to another chiropractor's office for awhile without seeing any major improvements. Then, I switched to KLC. I really love their holistic approach to health and well-being. All the staff and chiropractors are warm, approachable, and absolutely no BS. They are 100% committed to your well-being and take great pleasure in helping you heal. I have a super active life (soccer, yoga, tennis, skiing, workout, etc.). Without KLC's help, I don't think I could do all the things I enjoy doing without feeling some kind of major pains or strains. I used to get tension headaches from tight neck and shoulders. I'm happy to say that I don't get those anymore. I know chiropractic is not for everyone, and this office is certainly not the only place you can or should get treatment at. I met Dr. Stephanie at a networking event and started coming into the office for general wellness reasons. After doing x-rays on my spine, she discovered that it had virtually no curve at all (not good)! Since then, I've come in for regular adjustments which are easy to fit into my busy schedule - in and out in 5-10 minutes! Everyone at Kirkland Life is AMAZING! I have been having some issues with a rib slipping and they are always so helpful getting me back to feeling good. The best thing I've started doing is the metal roller. It's a super heavy roller that does an excellent job stretching out my hamstrings and calves which get so tight due to my difficult workouts and I leave with no pain! I was referred to Dr. Jeremy from a friend of mine who had great results. I was diagnosed with bursitis in my left leg following a tibia plateau surgery from years ago that has caused a variety of problems. I didn't buy into the pressure tactics and was immediately uncomfortable with it. But I thought I would give it a chance even though my gut feeling wasn't good...they deserve a chance, right!? Anyway, my back got much worse and I ended up in urgent care for pain killers and anti-inflammatories. It was incredibly painful - I could not walk, sit or do anything without piercing pain. But i can tell you on my life that I totally believe in Dr. Angela and anyone at KLC. They dont just do the crack crack break your back stuff and send you on your way. They actually listen to what is going on with you. They educate you on why that is. They listen to your concerns and find the best way to get you fixed up and on your way. I don't like having my back or neck cracked at all so Dr. A. worked on me with other ways and even though it took a little longer she made sure I felt comfortable and respected my wishes. I have lukewarm feelings toward this chiropractic center. They made me attend a education seminar one evening, which was a total waste of time. Basically, saying that chiropractors can cure anything, which I don't believe. They also wanted me to come 3x a week or more, which is just too much to me. The adjustments were a little rough for me, but I am pretty much a delicate person so take that with a grain of salt. Being an athlete and living an active lifestyle I had always been giving the "easy" fix when it came to injuries and pain. Try this pill, take this medicine, it's in my ankle, it's my hip, it's just the lower back, et cetera. Slowly through years and years of this it was engrained that everything in the body was separate and it was just one area or another. I came into Kirkland Life Chiropractic "knowing" some areas that probably needed some attention and being a young, stubborn, and fit I didn't think it would be too much adjusting. I received their NASA certified spinal evaluation and I was shocked. All the areas that I thought I needed help in were secondary to the actual root cause of my pain. After that initial visit, I started to work with Dr. Benz on the root cause of my pain and it has trickled down to improve every other area I needed help with. Not only was I getting excellent treatment without the prescription, it was helping more than just one area, and he began to explain that everything is connected in the body. Showing firsthand how having that in-depth knowledge of the body and nervous system combined with working smarter is so much more beneficial then just attacking the symptom. He gives a very specific adjustment and takes the time to explain everything to me so I have a better idea of whats going on with my body on a consistent basis.
