I met Dr. Woo when she first came to my clinic for a visit. I was very impressed with her and I told her about my neck and shoulder issues. She asked me to come see her so I did. She has such great strong hands. And it's not just 5 min visit to a chiropractor. It's 30 min of manual work with her hands and stretching on her machine, then activator all over plus manual adjustment if needed. She has been helping me with my neck and shoulder from chronic use on the computer and mouse. I am sure there are many out there in the tech world who has similiar problems. Well, I am a family physician who spends all day in front of a computer charting. Although I am a physician, I believe in trying to heal more naturally before steroid injection and surgery. She and I have the same belief. I am about 80 % better. I am confident I will be back to my baseline in the next month or two. Give her a try. I've been having knee pain for about 1.5 years now and after seeing a sports medicine doctor, getting a cortisone injection and trying physical therapy, nothing seemed to completely help. I always felt like the doctor was trying to cover up my pain instead of trying to find the cause. In fact, my doctor wanted to resort to surgery, which I didn't believe I was ready for. Recently, a friend of my husband recommended that I see Dr. Woo who happened to be visiting the Bay Area. She was able to quickly diagnose my problem, explaining why I was having the pain and what I was doing that caused it and went straight to work at massaging the muscles around my knee. This was my first chiropractic experience and to any newbies out there, I must warn you - it hurts! But, in a weird way, it also instantly makes you feel better. By the end of my session, I was so relaxed and my knee felt like it used to - normal. I was so impressed by Dr. Woo's knowledge and how she explained exactly what she was doing and always checking in to make sure I felt okay. She was patient and answered any questions I had with more information that I had ever received from my SM doctor. Dr. Woo spent at least an hour with me and after our session, my knee almost felt new again. She also gave me tips on foam rolling and stretches I could do to keep my knee feeling in tip top shape. I have since been keeping up with these and they do work wonders. Dr. Woo has an Amazing ability to "read" your body. She truly has a gift!! She has helped me manage my migraines after years of suffering. She has also really helped with my sinus problems. After the way things went with my last car accident... I will just say I was not looking forward to getting treatment. So when I say Dr. Woo has been the best chiropractor I could ask for, it's probably an understatement. I initially came in (from the MVA) with really bad neck, shoulder, hip and back pain. She took her time to figure out what would work best for me personally, and made me feel extremely comfortable which is (for me) very important in a healing setting. We (I say "we" like she isn't the one doing all the magic, ha) targeted the problem areas with massage, cupping, taping, lasers, you name it. 1/25/14 - Just had another Amazing adjustment with Dr. Swoo and I feel ready for the world again! When I started with her I was having regular "pinning" headaches and pain that radiated into my shoulder and hand. Now, I can barely remember them. Dr. Woo is one of the few amazing medical professionals I'd recommend. She not only attends to the problems of pain, but targets the initial source of the problem. She listens and does her very best to apply every treatment in her possession for your needs. I recently slipped and fell on my house stairs, I had difficulties standing on both feet with the slightest bending of my back, sitting correctly in any chair(that included the use of the donut), squatting, standing on one leg, and sleeping in any position. Dr. Woo did an awesome job of constantly assessing my spine, treating places that needed attention, and making sure I was comfortable throughout the entire session, and also during the laser and cupping session. And I can't forget about her wonderful anti gravity chair, LOVE it! And yes, although I didn't leave completely healed and free of pain, I had positive results. I was able to lift my legs with much less pain and balance on one leg with less pain. And sitting in the driver's seat properly was a huge plus. No more reclining ganster chair, no alternating from one cheek to the other. I still have pain, but not as much as I came in with, and having more movement with less limitations, really speaks a lot about Dr. Woo's treatments. I continue to only see her for any of my adjustments, and also for my son. Yes she treats Kids of any age. I have been having foot and ankle issues for a few years and decided it's time to take care of it. I saw a podiatrists, foot surgeons, and chiropractors in the past but continue to have issues. Dr. Stephanie Woo had solid reviews and many people said she helped them with issues, so I decided to schedule an appointment. Visit 1: Shared information about my issues and got a treatment that consists of massage, cupping, adjustments, and lasers. Visit lasted roughly 45 mins. Foot felt better for a few days then went back to being the same. Dr. Woo seemed very knowledgeable and friendly, so I scheduled follow-ups hoping to see long term results. Visit 2: Similar to first visit and applied tape at the end. Visit was 30 mins. Visit 3: Similar routine and added rolling to the calves to relieve inflammation. This helped relieve some pain for a few days. Visit was roughly 30 minutes. Visit 4: Got a 5 minute calf massage and then another patient arrived so the doctor left the room momentarily. I then got a 2-3 minute adjustment and that was the end of the visit. She seemed to have another patient booked at the same time, so I was in and out in 8 minutes! I'm paying roughly $45/visit and taking time out of my day and work schedule to fix a pain issue, so this really upset me. I paid for the visit but that would be my last one at this clinic. Paid a total of ~$265 for the 4 visits ($130 for first visit, $45 for each follow up). I got some good recommendations on stretching and icing, but I already knew about both of these. I think I would benefit more from a 1 hour massage once a month rather than 2 visits at the same price or higher. Dr. Woo: Please spend more time with your patients. If you accidentally double book, you should spend adequate time to address issues with the first patient you take before moving to the next one. If you intentionally overbook, then you're focusing more on making money than on your patients, which is bad for your practice. read more
