Initially, I had Becky come out and "tweak" my living and dining rooms, utilizing my existing furniture and providing some key new pieces. She provided multiple options for new drapes which pulled each room together and created the look I wanted. More recently, Becky designed our new master suite and main bath renovation. She assisted me during the construction phase with color and material choices-- a huge help-- as well as advising on aesthetic considerations during the planning stage. Afterward, she reviewed the 100+ screenshots and photos I had gathered to convey what I was hoping to create in our bedroom and two bathrooms. Becky managed to distill those images into what is now our beautiful retreat, with soft colors, welcoming furnishings and bespoke details. Can't say enough good things about Hepplewhite's, Amy, and Becky!

The space is noticeably bigger than their previous one, which gives them more staging area and space to offer larger pieces of furniture, artwork, and clothing in addition to all the unique goodies they already carried within the store that are smaller scale. Everything here is extremely pricey, which is unfortunate for me given that there are many things I love from here, but I just simply can't justify spending exorbitant amounts of money on these sorts of homegoods and accessories too often. The products they carry are definitely geared towards the more affluent and those with lofty home design ideas, as they also have fabric samples and the like to help you design and customize your furniture and upholstery upon them in the back of the store too. The price tags make sense in the sense that I have not seen any of the products they offer in any other stores in the metro Detroit area, so there's nothing to compare their goods to. This is a great place to window shop or stop in to get inspiration for your home and to pick up a unique piece or two. I'm still thinking about the tatted up Albert Einstein piece of artwork (included in the photos!), which I love so much, but even just the print of it without it framed was already $70-80 and that's a hard price to justify even for hot Albert Einstein! I like how every time I stop in to Talulah Belle, there's always new discoveries to be had. They clearly refresh their stock frequently and it's always great to stop in here for inspiration and intentionally unique gifts for the loved ones in your life...including yourself!

Kirkland's is a smaller home goods/decor store filled with surprises. You don't go in looking for…read moresomething specific but you can always find something you "need". Right now it is a holiday wonderland. They have a number of paintings and some good subway type art which is trendy right now at a good price. Need a santa painting? That's where to go! :) If you are on a budget and have limited time Kirkland's isn't the place for you to shop successfully in my opinion and I can't say that I always or even often come out with a great bargain or that I put Kirkland's on my list on of must shops. It happens to be located in a shopping center I frequent and I'll stop in to see what they have if I'm making the shopping center circuit.

Ok here are the positives: It's definitely different and innovative. With Painting with a Twist…read more(and the likes) becoming so popular, this concept of making framed signs, pillow cases, clothed signs, etc., is quite new. And with the end product, there's a greater chance of you putting it on display at home than putting up a painting (unless you're really good at it). The problem I have is with the stencils and the quality of them. When you put a stencil onto the piece, you should never have to worry about paint bleeding out. Hence, the purpose of the stencil. Yet, this continued to happen. Even putting the stencil on the piece (which is done by a member of staff) proved to be very trying. All of this led to wasted time. Our class was 4-630 pm and at 715 pm, my piece was still incomplete. I ended up having to leave it there as we had reservations at 715 pm, and will have to pick up the finished product later on. I definitely think they need more staff to help people along and stay within the allotted time. Also, they definitely need better stencil sticking paper, because that whole thing was super annoying. The staff were very helpful and kind-- just not enough of them. This will probably be my last time going.

You get to choose the type of stain you would like, the paint you would like, and so much more! They made the process super easy so anyone and everyone can do it, while still having a good time. I am absolutely in love with my Lazy Susan that I made, I can't wait to use it and show it off to my friends and family! In my opinion this is an amazing place to have a party, birthday celebration, or any type of gathering.

I recently stopped in during a visit to my home town in Michigan, from Florida, for a family…read morereunion. I was looking for a small statue or treasure to put on my dads grave. This store is beautiful and charming and while I did not find the perfect item for my dad, the owner was so super sweet and informative and it was a blessing just to come in and see the fountains and other well sculpted marvels. She told me the store has been in her family since 1966 and it made me wonder if my grandparents who lived in nearby Shelby Township had bought their garden fountain and Madonna statues here because I felt really at home here for some reason. Like I had been there before. When I did not find exactly what I wanted, the owner referred me to a few other nurseries in the area, where I did end up finding some items. She really knows her products very well and take the time to educate and and help you make decisions. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for garden statues or fixtures or great advice on the subject. Rooted in family history and family owned, it was refreshing to have real customer service in this self-serve world. I have encouraged friends and members of my MI family to check them out.
