Speed society APPROVED! Had a restomod sitting for 3-4 years rebuild engine, everything brand new, except the radiator, cause why would I change a brand new 500 mile radiator, well because it sad and the aluminum created some crazy flow issues after 3-4 other fixes from new alternator, new spal fans, and countless bottles of distilled cycles filling pressurizing and draining we still had issues where temp would see 215-216 at idle after driving. Basic stop light to stop light stuff! Referred to Ryan at Kirk's Radiator and he acid flushed and did whatever magic he does and now it idles to 170 fans come on, and back to 165 and fans off and literally is night and day! NEGATIVE ONE BILLION STARS I would NEVER trust this shop I called Kirk a couple weeks back and was leaking coolant and concerned. I have a mid 90s Honda with a DOHC and they are prone to head gasket failure if they overheat. This guy had great reviews on here so I went to him. He pops my hood and looks around and says unequivocally that my run off tank reservoir has a hairline crack and that the coolant is coming from there, don't stress it and top off as needed. So the last couple weeks I drove thinking that coolant is coming from there -no big deal. Would top off in morning. Well I suddenly overheated today and went to the closest shop. They think it's a head gasket that it got to hot and it's my radiator that's been leaking AND there is no crack in the run off reservoir. So even what he said it was was wrong. So thanks Kirk! Now I may have a damaged engine and I have a blown head gasket. You want to trust this shop go ahead but I would not if I were you. Unbelievable -I mean they are a radiator shop it's what they do and he sent me down the road with advice and a diagnosis that may ruin a very important rare car. Devastated. Ryan got right into a diagnosis and discovered a leak in the condenser coils and confirmed the part availability and cost and offered an estimate of the total repair cost. These guys clearly love their job and know what they're doing. I was recommended by a friend to get my mufflers and resonator modified/deleted. I walked in and got service right away. Ryan showed/told me the best option for my Acura cl type s, and explained pricing and why. He let me know there are cheaper options, but the magnaflow is overall the best quality. He is clearly a perfectionist in his line of work, and even though my car is an old junker, he still strived to do the best modifications. Once we changed out the mufflers, I decided I wanted it louder, so he did a resonator delete in about 10 minutes. Just took my jeep here 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee to get it ready for TDS jeep run they told me it was going to be $65 bucks up front they will find the problem and if I want them to fix it I can and they will apply it towards the total repair cost if I don't want that they will still tell me what's wrong and I can go on my way You can't lose !!! They did next day turn around for me it ended up being a pressure switch and they also checked the system for leaks $20 parts $45 labor They could have charged me $200 bucks and I would have been fine with that but they were totally honest got me dialed in and sent me on my way Plus they have been in the same spot and around for like a hundred years read more

We inherited a motorhome in 2016 that had sat parked for over a decade, and quickly realized one of our worst fears that it had a massive fuel problem. After several clogged fuel filters, it was time to suck it up and fix the tank. The shop that dropped the tank looked in it and told me that it was rusted beyond repair and that we'd have to order a new one from Workhorse for $1300+ dollars. I called my normal mechanic (Gary's Automotive in Santee) and asked if he had any ideas or references, and he told me to call Kirk's. I was able to bring the tank to them that day. He looked at it and diagnosed it as massive varnish build up, not rust. He was able to cut it open, clean it, weld it closed, re-seal it and get it right back to us a day later for under $200. We put it back in the motorhome and got my mom on the road before the weekend. She drove the RV back to Texas and hasn't had a single issue with it since. Thanks!! read more
