The "good" cleaning" was to be done in the future she said-- this they called deep clearning with flouride and of course she did not mention the out of pocket costs. When the dentist appeared there seemed to be a problem reading my x-rays and even though I had pain he was unsure as to how to proceed. His recommendation was to use another state of the art machine there, and told me to make an appointment for a visiting out of network dentist who did root canals. Needless to say I felt cheated out of a good cleaning, relief for my pain -- a waste of my time and money. They probably milked my insurance and I still need dental care.

Their sign says to "sign in and have a seat and they'll call you if additional information is needed". At first I waited for the woman to pick up the chart as she would have saw that I checked off the box for new patient. She didn't acknowledge me standing there, didn't ask what I was waiting for, nothing!! To "respect" their sign, I sat down. The woman picked up the sign in sheet 26 minutes later, 4 minutes before my daughter's appointment time, this is when I was handed new patient forms and was told that she'd call the insurance to verify coverage. After ANOTHER 30 minutes passed, I asked the woman about how long it would be before my daughter was called as I had to go back to work. I reminded her of the appointment time my daughter had versus the time it was, she said 1 person was before her and she didn't know how long AND "there was nothing she could do". My daughter didn't get seen until a whole hour AFTER her appointment time. What's the point of having an appointment if you're not going to see patients at their scheduled times? A doctor knows approximately how long a procedure should take and thus should know how many slots and slot times they allow for a certain amount of people or type of visit. They need to work on scheduling and hospitality. I could see if we were late but we were more than on time. Most offices tell you to come in 15 minutes before the scheduled time - we were there 30 minutes prior.

I explained I was two blocks away and the majority of the time I come exactly at 9 the doors have not even open yet. She proceeded to have an attitude and slammed the phone down on me. I arrived at the doctor's office at 9:03 am. Tanisha asked if okay and I said no that the person who just called me was rude and not even an apology or acknowledgment of the situation was addressed. The receptionist proceeded to tell me she wasn't rude and then rolled her eyes. My family and I have been with this establishment for years even before Dr. FINELY decided to open the adult side. The receptionist on this side needs more training on phone etiquette and customer service. It is currently 9:18 and I still have not been called.

I've have braces 2 times and the teeth started to shift. I'm in my 30's so braces weren't an option for me so veneers was best for me. If I would of know about veneers I would of gotten them long ago. I spent so much money on braces, implants, among other things. The final result was amazing!!!!! As for my husband he too wasn't going to get braces he did veneers and he has the perfect smile. You can't even tell they are veneers because we didn't go white as celebrities do. The doctor…read moreand the hygenist however engaged in very poor behavior, and I dealt with two different doctors for my daughters on two separate occasions 6 months apart. The first time I thought I was just over reacting and maybe give them another shot because I thought maybe it was just that particular doctor and we could get another one next time. The first appointment was for one of my daughters, just a basic check up but the dentist was very harsh and a bit unprofessional. The second appointment I actually booked for myself and my other daughter. This was a different doctor than the first visit. Both the doctor and especially the hygenist were rude. I explained to the hygenist that I was in discomfort and she blew me off and then proceeded to not finish my cleaning. The doctor who was dealing with my 6 year old daughter was rough and traumatized my daughter with how rough she was in her mouth. There wasn't anything nice after the waiting area except for the aesthetic of the place. I immediately changed dental offices and I felt compelled to do this review because it was insane how we were treated and there was no accountability on anyones part as professionals. I did mention how harsh they were being and did not engage in any bad behavior because this is how I handle any conflicts with "Professional Establishments" I expose the truth and the truth is they were less than sub par. I will be following up with the dental board and needless to say I will not be returning to Dr. Frankels office. I will update with the names of the individuals that I dealt with if I come across it but take this as a warning.

I have seen this dentist a total of 2 times for my teeth and have felt nothing but cared for!…read more My family recently moved to the area and from the beginning they made me and my children feel like they care about our oral health. Dr. Garfinkel and his staff are flipping amazing. There is no visible tension in the work place, everyone seems to respect each other and the dentist, and they do their best to work with you... to a fault. When I say to a fault I mean they will go out of their way to help and accommodate you even though they may not be getting their full due so to speak. I watched the staff try to accommodate their patients even when they knew it wasn't in THEIR best interest as a business! Dr. Garfinkel has seen almost all of my children so far and each one has nothing but good feelings afterwards! They don't feel like they were rushed in and out of the chair. Even my toddler, who had to get his baby teeth taken out (2 and done...so fast my child didn't even have time to cry!) was totally okay! Now to the serious stuff: My previous dentist did a lot of subpar work (that's being nice) and ran through my insurance limit. I can no longer get work done without coming out of pocket. What did Dr. Garfinkel do? He helped me... that's what he did... he and his staff have worked with me to try to get my mouth back on track. I'm not going to say he is doing everything for free... because he wouldn't have an office if he did...BUT... what I will say is that anything he could do for me, he did and is doing for me. The first time he looked in my mouth (right in the waiting room because they realized my insurance was capped but wanted to see what was wrong) he darn near lost his top! He couldn't believe what he was looking at! Needless to say he has been trying to help me since... I had to cancel and move appointments because of my job...then the bad root canal tooth the other dentist did decided to come around full blown! I called them and they told me to come in that day.. even though my new appointment is in almost 3 weeks! I got there and there was almost no wait. He workwed on my mouth for i don't even know how long, determined to get the root the other dentist missed... and then worked with me on how to pay for the job! He and his staff made sure I was walking out of there with the cause of my pain taken care of...and me not so broke I couldn't feed my kids. As for the kids: Two of them have cavities, several, where the other dentist only cleaned their teeth and sent them off... I'm not happy about that in the least. The other dentist pretty much set them up for tooth issues early! Wow! Anyways... as you can see, I have a lot to say about Dr. Garfinkel and crew and it is ALL good thus far! They even made sure I got my prescriptions set right with no attitude when I had to ask them to send it to a new place!
