A wisdom tooth extraction is a pretty common procedure. I've had all four of mine extracted at one time or another. All covered by dental insurance with no problems. My husband came out of the evaluation. Then they informed us it was 260.00 for the x-rays and that they don't take any dental insurance. Then they informed us that the procedure for all four extractions would be $3,000.00!!! I informed them that they will not be our dental surgeon. If you are rich go ahead. But at the very least this practice should tell you that they don't take dental insurance first thing. Very misleading. Bye-bye!

They gave me no instructions in the weeks prior my wisdom teeth removal. When I called to ask questions they kept referring to a contract I had signed months earlier when I made the appointment, which they gave me no physical or digital copy of to refer back to. This led me to realize only days before the surgery that I was not going to be put under a general anesthetic, which can be very nerve wracking prior to and during the surgery. The Doctor and hygienist were both not communicative during the procedure, which made me more nervous than I already was. Additionally they did not know which teeth they were meant to be removing and I had to correct them just moments before they began. Whether it's my own experience or the ones I heard in the waiting room, they are all uniformly poor at effective and efficient communication.
