If this let me give a review of 0 stars i would. My mom bought a custom made dinning room table…read morethat was supposed to be made out of reclaimed barn wood. When it was delivered the edges weren't smooth and if you looked on the underside of the table it was VERY obvious it wasn't barn wood. Called the Lady that owns this place and she played dumb like she had no idea. So after several back and forth conversations they remade a table top and were supposed to come to our house and change out the tops (attaching to the legs). The guy they hire to drop off the tables refused to help assemble. just dropped off a table top and let me add its still not reclaimed barn wood. We were even told by an employee that they just cut down trees and let them age a little and use those. NOT barn wood so this owner is very dishonest. The new top has 2 supports underneath that are NOT even One goes all the way to the edge and the other is inset like it should. It looks terrible and they paid good money to be ripped off.

We've been into this hardware before and can generally find what we need. Prices are a bit above average and the staff is normally somewhat helpful. They have a sign on the door stating that face coverings are required, which was a relief as we have both battled and recovered from the virus. The 1 star is based on what we found in the store. After we had found most of what we needed, we counted several, mostly amish, wandering about chatting without masks on. One had the nerve to stand directly behind me hovering/coughing over my shoulder while we were trying to find the correct replacement part. Staff members WERE aware of the problem as they were even assisting the 'maskless' customers. This is unacceptable. Those of us who take precautions and want to stay healthy do not want to be exposed to those that can't even follow a county mandate. Upon checking out, I asked the younger dark haired girl about the mask rules and she basically rolled her eyes, shook her head and grunted something. Hopefully they get to experience the illness first hand so they can understand the importance of keeping themselves and their customers safe. If we need to run to the hardware for our elderly grandparents again, we will definitely go elsewhere. Just thankful that it was us and not them that walked into that virus nightmare.

Not Schlemmer's fault, of course, but Jeremy stayed on top of the order and pressured the company to make sure the grill arrived before the start of the summer season. On top of that, the lumber is better quality and they load it for you. If you are tired of going to the "other guys" picking through junk lumber that is warped and has other defects, loading on cart and reloading into to your truck then then go ahead make your day. But, I can go to Jonesville Lumber, place my order and then get loaded in the same time it takes to figure out good lumber from bad lumber at the other guys storeS. My 12 year old got excited but we missed the turn and I thought we were done... till we ended up spending the night in Fremont which has a Shelton location. Their sign said was the world's largest fireworks store and I have no basis for comparison, but I would not want to be in there if someone lit a cigarette. We got a boxed assortment for $55 or so and added some bottle rockets and a big rocket, then the proprietress threw in a "grand finale" which was one of the cake type displays with multiple holes and a fuse that makes them go off in sequence. Last night, hopefully safe in the sand on a lake in upstate NY, we finally shot them off. There was only one semi-dud in 20 or so items. The favorites were the mortars... little balls with long fuses that you shoot out of a tube to get a nice display at about 30 feet... and the various cake types. The big rocket was perfect to start it all. Fountain types were the least impressive. There were no instructions and I'd never done this before so I peeled back the cellophane and exposed the fuses for better burning, maybe this contributed to the high success ratio. Much enjoyment by the assembled children and adults and with cautious adult lighting I did not feel unsafe. A friend from Jersey asked me how much I'd paid and told me he would pay over $100 for the same assortment going across the border into PA. So go to eastern Indiana, assuming you have some other reason to do so. (Maybe to visit the RV Hall of Fame which is just down the road in Elkhart?)
