Fantastic authentic food, worth the visit. Local family owned as well. Don't be afraid of unfamiliar foods, as everything is worth the try!

Before I ventured there on a Saturday evening, I tried to call several times to ask some menu…read morequestions but no one ever picked up the call. I was hopeful that they were possibly just very busy at that moment. The parking lot is shared with several other businesses located in this plaza. There is disabled parking in front of the business, but the ramp is in front of Sauce on the Side next door. As I entered this casual spot, they were very busy on this Saturday night. You can place your order online or at the walk up counter. There were several people in front of me, but the line moved fast. The menu is on the board behind the counter and you can see some of the fresh items displayed. There are some tables inside the restaurant if you decide to stay. It seems that the majority of the people ordered takeout. I ordered the onion pakoda, which is similar to onion straws, and it was a huge serving, enough for 2-4 people. It was served warm and crispy. The onions were sweet and the fried batter had good flavor. I tried the weekend special, which were 3 vegetarian choices out of 5-6: Palak Paneer, Paneer Butter Masala and Eggplant curry. Rice or naan does not come with it. It costs extra. The garlic naan was fresh and flavorful. The Palak Paneer was adequate, mildly spiced, and about what I expected. The paneer butter masala was well-spiced and had a slight capsaicin kick. The eggplant curry was absolutely delicious and rather spicy. I'm glad I had a drink close by. This was a very good value as I had enough leftover for another meal.

I look over at the prices of these gems, expecting 12, 13, maybe 15 dollars a dish??? I know that good Indian food in St. Louis often times with a hefty price. But not Curry Club. 7 dollars, 5.50, 4 dollars for what tasted like a homemade blessing. We were messy, we laughed, we cried, and above all, we curry clubbed. 5/5

Every single dish we tasted was phenomenal perfectly cooked, it was authentic Indian flavors, and it was beautifully presented. There is honestly not one thing I could or would change about my experience. Actually, there is one thing that I would change how the garlic naan is presented on the menu it does show garlic/ chili naan and it seems like it's one item, but in reality it's two different options Just listed on the same line. So we ended up with two orders of naan bread but they both were delicious so it was okay. While the restaurant is located in a shopping plaza, the interior is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully decorated. The service was equally impressive; the staff was attentive, prompt, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The entire time I was dining, I kept thinking about all the friends and family I want to bring back so they can experience this culinary gem for themselves. I can't wait to go back.

My wife and I have been on an Indian food kick lately, so we turned to Yelp to find an authentic…read morespot near our house. While browsing reviews, we came across a hidden gem in St. Ann called Maaji's Street Kitchen that had surprisingly high ratings. I couldn't believe how well-reviewed it was, so we decided to check it out for ourselves. We arrived around 5:30 PM on a Monday and were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in. We made our way to the counter to place our order, and the staff member was very helpful once we mentioned it was our first time. He walked us through the menu and even pointed out different dishes and combo options on their digital signage display menu, which made ordering much easier. We placed our order to go and waited inside. It's a small space, but it's decorated with unique art and has a really unique vibe. There was a hypnotic Indian song playing in the background, which added to the atmosphere. We sat at a table that had a game on it--I believe it was called Carrom, a tabletop game where you flick checker-sized discs into corner pockets, similar to a mini pool table. A woman who I assume was the owner or manager came out from the back and greeted us. While we waited, she showed us how to play the game. As we were playing, she came back and even offered us samples of the food we had ordered. I was honestly impressed by the level of hospitality--it's not something you experience very often. The sample alone was some of the best Indian food I've had. The spices were perfectly balanced for my taste, and it made me even more excited to get home and dig into our full meal. My wife ordered the Mixed Vegetable Curry Bowl, and I went with Combination #2 (Shredded Chicken Curry, Steamed Rice, and Parantha), along with a side salad. Overall, the experience was fantastic. I can't remember the last time we were treated this well at a restaurant, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more dishes.
