They greeted us warmly and got to work right away, creating a fabulous meal and setting up our dining areas. We started with a massive charcuterie board, mini lump crab cakes and crispy mac & cheese bites. Chef Todd and Kristen joined us briefly when this was presented to pointed out all of the items on the board. This was truly an incredible start and we have never seen charcuterie like this! Everything was fresh, perfectly presented. When dinner was served we started with a Caesar salad that was fresh and delicious. The first entree was the beef tenderloin, which was very tender and perfectly cooked. Really good! We also enjoyed jumbo shrimp and lump backfin crabmeat with penne pasta, alla vodka sauce. Chef Todd does not skimp on anything he prepares. All of the entrees were excellent!! We finished our meal with chocolate crème brûlée. It was a delicious dessert and a great way to wrap up a fantastic experience! We are so fortunate to have met Chef Todd and experienced his culinary genius! He got totally sh*t faced. He drank our beer, helped himself to private liquor. He was found going through several bedrooms. He was "busted", but that didn't deter him. While everyone was dining, he went downstairs to help himself to more liquor. When he finally parked his butt in the dining area, he sat in a chair and barked orders to his staff. I would have been mortified if I was a part of his staff. Although I highly recommend this business for their food, DO NOT ALLOW THE OWNER INTO YOUR HOME!. He may have thought he would never have to deal with the wedding guests again and could get away with his unprofessional behavior, but I am a LOCAL. As the bride and groom we added crab cakes to our plate and they were amazing. We used Johanna's bartenders, who were wonderful, and later in the evening, Espresso Martinis were served, which our guests absolutely loved. They suggested different ideas and were very responsive to all our emails during the planning process. I'm not sure I can say enough about how awesome the food was and how much there was left for us after the wedding. A couple weeks later their truck was at the Got to be NC festival in Raleigh and we went to have some more of their amazing dishes from the truck. Once again, delicious!!!
