Just had the Outer Banks Boil company cater for a group of 17 in Corolla, NC and it was absolutely fantastic! Great food, great service, great conversations, couldn't have asked for anything more! Thanks, Matt and Ralph! read more

Fantastic, I would do this again in a heartbeat. We got 2 Benjamin's 1 classic 1 clamshell with a pound of shrimp and 1 pound of snow crab. That was the perfect amount for 6 people. The presentation was very professional with the bucket and all in I would say this is very affordable considering that same meal for 6 adults would of been way over 200 Highly recommend read more

The guy who cooked the food was excellent and friendly. He shared lots with us about the area. The food was amazing and delicious. My whole family enjoyed the experience of him coming and cooking it at our house and then cleaning up after. It was worth the money for the whole experience. I highly recommend this place for the food and experience!! read more

Love it every time! Fresh shellfish. Particularly great lobsters and scallops. Easy to order by phone. Friendly staff. Always ready when we arrive. One of my favorite parts of coming down every year!! read more

Great experience and the crab legs did not disappoint! They even let our pup inside since it was such a hot day.

Love how easy it is to steam your own seafood at home! These guys really make it easy with easy to follow instructions. Add two cups of water, wine or beer and let it steam and add as much seasoning as you want. We got the shrimp, clams, crab legs, scallops and lobster tails, all complete with the potatoes, corn, and andouille sausage. Can't comment on ambiance but def love the ability to do it all at home. Would've loved for them to include wax paper/butcher paper and bibs for the full experience but def still a great product. read more

This is a must do in Duck/Corolla area. We usually did all this ourselves and holy cow...this was amazing. Just pick up and go and follow the directions. It was phenomenal...we would absolutely do this again. It was fantastic, fresh seafood with options on how to steam (we did water, want to try beer when we come back). They did it all and even had crab crackers for purchase. 10 stars! :) read more

Had a blast!!! highly recommend. Food was amazing. Our fifth yeae having this company. Owner is amazing.

We loved our boil! It took a lot longer to cook than anticipated but that may be due to cooking on an electric stove that didn't have the most consistent temperature. In the future I would consider booking the catering option instead just to make my life easier. read more

Highly recommend the Outer Banks boil company! We ordered from there this spring when we were in the Outer Banks. Catching up on a late review. Everything you needed came in the boil kit! Instructions, the pot and the food! What a great experience and the service was fantastic as well. read more

Fantastic - highly recommend!! We had extended family visiting our Corolla beach house from Poland, for their first time in the US. What a unique meal idea this was for them! Don't recall where we got the shrimp boil idea, but so glad we went with this great place! Our total group was 10 people, and we had more than plenty for everyone and leftovers for at least another 3 meals. Trey (sp?) was 100% awesome in every way from arrival, to his patience with taking numerous group photos, to the cookery and presentation....it was all just really something else, and made for a great family memory! Trey brought everything we needed, and we didn't have to lift a finger, except to dig in and enjoy. He even brought bags for leftovers, a lined trash can for scraping plates, drawn butter, cocktail and BBQ sauce, all the utensils and paper products, and took all the garbage away when the hour-long event was over. He also took care of items that needs to go in the oven for a bit, and sat in the cute little delivery truck out front while we enjoyed our family company and dinner, then returned to the table once it was time to wrap up. They really do it all! We added clams and mussels to the standard shrimp, corn, potatoes, and spicy andouille...and some of the most tender BBQ ever, for a few folks who were not seafood fans. Every single element was delicious. Contact them for a wonderful meal and memory that is sure to please!! You're welcome. :-) read more

Man was this good!! For my first night in the OBX I knew I didn't want to cook so ordered a boil to takeaway. I did the Ben Franklin boil for 3 (there are two of us!). When we picked it up the man was very friendly. Walked me through all the instructions and made sure I have everything needed. The cooking was pretty easy, except I put the lid on that pot all the way and when I had to open it while it was boiling, to add the shrimp, it wasn't very easy. I suggest not putting the lid on all the way so you can open it as needed!! The "key" they provided wasn't very useful, so we got creative ;) either way, cooking with the instructions was simple. We opted to use white wine as the steaming liquid. The flavor of everything was so good. I wasn't interested in the sausage but gave it a try and it really was very good! I will say the clams and mussels seem to get lost. My friend said they seemed irrelevant in the big pot. I won't order those again. The shrimp were large and the crab legs were sweet. We ate a bit more than the two servings. I would've like a few more potatoes! If we ever go down with a large group, I will opt for the catering service and let them do all the work. For two of us this was a great option. Worth the price, you would easily spend that amount on a nice seafood dinner at a restaurant! Give it a try! read more

We had the catered boil where OBX Boil Company came to the place we were staying to cook the boil and help create the dinner experience right there in our kitchen. What a great evening! Mike came to our rental home to prepare a boil for 17 of us. The kids loved watching him cook and hearing his stories. The spread of food was amazing and delicious. Favorites were the lobster tails, scallops, and sausage. The best part was that Mike took care of the clean up and even offered to take a family photo for us! read more

The food was AMAZING!!! Open to picky eaters, they had corn muffins, corn,. And our server Deagen was really nice. It was really cool how they came to our place and cooked it in our kitchen. (Despite our microwave being broken, cough cough Pelican breeze but that'll be in another review) We had Corn muffins, corn, shrimp, crab, etc. they even cleaned it up for us! And gave us a cool tablecloth (not to keep obviously) all I'm saying is give Deagan a raise and definitely book this place! 10/10 my family of 17 loved it! Definitely recommend! read more

Listen, if you want the best seafood meal of your life, order from here. The directions are super simple. The recommended timing is pretty spot on give or take stove quality. The seafood is fresh. The shrimp are plump. The crab meat slides out of the shells easily. The potatoes and corn are seasoned by cooking with the seafood. The sausage is perfectly spiced. Clams and mussels? You taste the meat, not the sea. The service was easy and quick. If you don't order the scallops, you will have missed quite possibly the perfect bite of scallop. Some day in the future, you will eat a scallop, and wonder aloud what all the fuss is about. The person sitting across from you who did order the scallops from this place once upon a time will look at you with pity and sigh. Just sigh.... You had your chance. read more

Easy, right sized, and scratches the itch of a seafood boil without the hassle. Chose to do twice during our trip so, should say it all.

Thank you, once again, for a delightful, delicious meal! Tonight we had 10 family members here for their annual "beach week," and they asked us to schedule this because they remembered how much they enjoyed it from our huge family reunion last summer. Everything was perfect, as expected Chase did a great job setting up, steaming the food, cleaning up, and was very patient with so many of us watching him work and graciously answering all our questions. Chase had served us once before, so we were happy to see him again. We have had the "Pot to Go" several times in the past and greatly enjoyed those meals, too. We definitely recommend Outer Banks Boil for wonderful food and a fun time with no dishes to do when the meal is over. We will be back, for sure. Thanks so much! read more

Super fun night! We've been doing this for years and we always love it! The food is always great and it's a fun time

Who glad we had this on the first full day we were in Corolla. It was a great way to start our vacation. Matt, the owner, came and prepared a delicious meal for us. The corn was crunchy, potatoes just soft enough, andouille crisp to the bite, and the shellfish was well seasoned. We had a great conversation with Matt. In speaking with him he shared how his business got started (read his website if you don't want to wait to hear it in person), how it's grown, The food was delicious and even with 9 hungry people we had leftovers to nosh on later. We'll definitely get it again next time we're in OBX. read more

Great process, perfectly cooked, customer service was great. Trey was an amazing host!

I did a pre-order takeout at the Kitty Hawk location last weekend for a family of 10 people. I noticed I had selected the wrong pickup date, so I immediately contacted them. They were able to correct it on their side within seconds. The online menu is easy to navigate, and I like the idea of the extra items for purchase to pack your pot with and the "outside the pot" options as well. When I arrived to pick up my order, it was packed and ready. An employee opened one of the steamer pots and thoroughly explained the cooking instructions for the to-go order. The setup at home was super easy, and the quality of seafood, corn, potatoes, and sausage was top-notch. Outer Banks Boil Co. also offers catering where they come to you, set up the equipment, and start cooking for your entire group. I highly recommend making this a tradition when visiting the Outer Banks. If you live here like I do and don't want the hassle of cooking for a large gathering or having a special event, you won't be disappointed! read more
