    Seafood Udon $13
    Linda L.

If you're only here as a tourist and is looking for a cheap place to have food, this is a decent restaurant to go to. But if you're looking for good tasting, authentic Asian food, I think this restaurant is pretty subpar. I fell into the former group when I came to Blue Mountain for skiing and decided to come to Kitcho Sushi for dinner because the other restaurants at the Village were too expensive. I ordered the seafood Udon which was about $13, while a family member got the Tempura Udon. It turned out that the Udon was pretty much the same, except mine had a few seafoods in it while the other one had tempura on the side. There weren't a lot of actual seafoods in the bowl, mainly just vegetables like carrots and broccoli. The tempuera only had 3 pieces of shrimp and the rest were vegetables. It's not really a good value if you ask me and it tasted like I could have made the same thing at home. Also, the restaurant was super cold when I was here. I pretty much had to wear my jacket while I dined because otherwise I would have been shivering at my seat.

Worst dining experience ever! Ordered "Beef Chow Mein" and we received a joke. Their definition of fried noodles are tiny orange twig bread sticks, and the vegetables were soaked in salty msg. When we brought to the waitress' attention how this dish is not "chow mein" and asked if they could give us a bowl of rice with this, they told us we have to order again and order "Lo mein" which isn't even fried noodles? Overall, feeling scammed.

Great food! I was a little worried when we walked in, but the service was friendly and the fish was high quality and tasted great! We had the all you can eat dinner, and it was well worth it.

Salmon roll was to die for. Fish was was very fresh and good!

Food and Service was great, I found the table area cramped in the side room. Will definitely visit again.

Sushi wasn't very good. Tasted the same no matter what you ordered. Servers seemed more like sentries than waitresses. Wouldn't recommend.

Nice food and good size pieces. The service was friendly. The building looked rundown and could use a renovation. Inside was nice.

It could use a bit more char. Szechuan Fish Fillet in Peppercorn Chilli Soup (4/5) which had tender and perfectly poached fish fillets. We wish it was spicier but otherwise this dish was tasty and full of fragrant spices. Egg & Chive Pancakes (4/5) was packed with filling and the pancake had a really crispy texture on the outside but soft on the inside. It had glass noodles inside as well. It has a faint aromatic flavour that wasn't too overpowering. We poured some of the Szechuan peppercorn chilli soup inside too which tied in all the flavours together.

The Dim Sum items we ordered (3) were excellent, but the Spicy Beef dish was very mediocre. The beef was tough and dried out... With way too much cilantro... Honestly not very good, nor was the portion very large for the $23 price. I also ordered a steamed rice which was hard and frankly tasted like a packet of Uncle Ben's Minute Rice. Service was quite slow considering the place only had 3 tables including ours. Overall I would not come back... Price was very high, at $66 before tip, for what we got and really not very good. Won't go back.

Uncle Ming's Chinese Restaurant - The remains of our awful dinner

I discovered Uncle Ming's Chinese Restaurant 12 years ago when I was craving food, and was in no condition to drive for various reasons. I found a flyer in the living room of my old family cottage for Ming's and gave him a call for some delivery! I placed my order, and 30 minutes later Ming appeared at my door with the very food I ordered! Sadly, I neglected to tell Ming that I only had visa on me, but he didn't care. He told me to come back the next day with my card to pay for the meal. REALLY?!?!?! People this trusting still exist?!? I was in shock! So, we chowed down with delight, and 12 hours later paid for our meal. 12 years later, I still make trips to Ming's on my way into Collingwood to pick up food on my way in, and a few days later on my way back to Toronto. Ming and Monica always welcome their patrons with a big smile and make you feel right at home. I recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family who head up to Wasaga or Collingwood. Keep up the great work Ming and Monica! Rob from Toronto
