People were saying "Rhino" were monsters who would destroy Silverdale. What's happening now is the operating hours will be reduced and they can just suddenly close the mall and kick you out so the elites (these seem to be 20-29 in age range, not from here, and very fancy if the cars are any indication) can have special parties. These are creepy. I saw a "comedy show" in an abandoned restaurant where no one was laughing. Security accosted me and asked why I was trying to shop in a mall. They said the posted hours were wrong. They were pretty demeaning. What's sleazy is no one was told the mall was closing. Rhino repeatedly lied to residents. They only listened to these foreigners who spilled in to raid the area while living in those creepy ticky tacky apartments that all look just the same. These people will all say the same thing. They will say "Once, this mall was shoulder-to-shoulder people" like they are reading from a script an AI created. Their eyes glaze when they say this. They act strange. They look robotic. They wear these fancy "distressed" clothes that aren't from here. They don't look like they're from here. Everything is overpriced now. Taxes are through the roof. It's like a third-world county. Now, there's not even a mall and some residents are trapped. The mall was the landmark in Silverdale, so there is no Silverdale. It's just those viral, scary apartments. It's awful. We were told the mall would come back. I guess they lied. How you can improve: Stop the creepy entertainment and have a shopping mall. If you can't do that, tear it down and put in more gross, identical tenement apartments.

Island Life Artisan Gifts seemed like the right place for this, a Bainbridge Island-themed gift shop near the start of the main stretch of Winslow Way. I let our five-year-old pick from a robust selection of magnets, and he picked an attractive one, featuring the island, the ferry, and a couple of orcas. I also picked up a cute "Ferry Christmas" ornament. Both items were of solid quality. The gift shop sold clothes and plenty of other island-themed gear. A lot of pickleball stuff--I guess that's somehow part of the Bainbridge Island identity. Olympic National Park has several visitor centers and ranger stations because of how big it is…read more This is the main visitor center for the park. Olympic National Park Visitor Center is in Port Angeles on the road to Hurricane Ridge. It has plenty of parking spaces and a welcome sign that you can get a photo in front of. This was my first visit to Olympic National Park. I appreciated the help that I received from the staff here. They gave me information on how to navigate my way around the park. I was excited to make the trek up to Hurricane Ridge for the day. It is one of the most visited areas of Olympic National Park. I wanted to do the Hurricane Hill hike while I was here. The park ranger explained to me how to get to the trailhead and where to park. Because the Wi-Fi is spotty in this area, they have paper maps available. Olympic National Park Visitor Center is also a gift shop and sells snacks and beverages. The building itself is spacious and has two levels. There are exhibits about the park's natural and cultural history, a discovery room for kids and a film that plays throughout the day. Make sure you check out the wildflowers out front and the nature trails behind the building. Also, don't forget to stamp your national park passport book while you are here. There are entrance stations on Hurricane Ridge Road once you pass this visitor center. The drive up to Hurricane Ridge is around 17 miles. Hurricane Ridge Road sometimes closes in the winter due to avalanches.

Two people answering questions were busy: the male Park employee, seated, was talking with an older couple about ??? The young woman talking with a male hiker was busy going over the map with him. Twenty-one minutes later, I left the building so that my partner (minding the an8mal-beast) could go in to the Visitor Center: she came out in less than 10 minutes. I went back inside: the seated male Park employee was still talking with the engaging older couple, and the standing female Park employee was still talking with the male visitor. Some thirty minutes had passed since our arrival at the Visitor Center and the two employees were talking with the same visitors. Hard to get a quick question in edgewise. The young woman at the register still only knew how to scan merchandise and sell cloth bags to hold merchandise. We drove up to the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center after being told we could look for those things we were looking for. Only after we got up to Hurricane Ridge did we learn that the Visitor Center had burned down several years ago. Guess they forgot to tell us that. U.S. Government and their contractor employees...
