We got here too late for food and dining, but we decided to shop in the market. This place was beautiful and I hope to stop by every time I'm in hood canal. I love how easy parking is to find and maneuver in here. The market had a lot of local items that are incredible like candies salmon. The sweetest shopkeeper is in there and is super child friendly. I'm grateful to have stopped by and spend an hour here. Don't forget to buy the salt water taffies! They had a hot cocoa tasting one!

We were in town for a few days and were hoping to try the outdoor area but it was closed the day we went. I walked around the small grocery and picked up a few things. They offer beverages, wine, snacks and gift/souvenir items. I picked up two adorable raincoats for my dogs and some snacks. The lady at the counter was very friendly and engaging. Nice little store to pick up last minute necessities.

Owned and operated by Alderbrook Spa and Resort. Complimentary shuttles are provided by Alderbrook if staying at the resort. After done shopping and eating, tell the cashier and a return shuttle will requested for you. Wait time is about 5 minutes from request. Local wares as well as out of state wares are sold in the shop. A variety of specialty food and drinks are also sold. Cans of craft beer/cider or draft beer can be purchased in the shop then consumed at the small dining area overlooking the beautiful water. My bestie and I didn't eat here (only slurped) so we I cannot attest to the food. Complimentary infused water is offered (self-serve) to sip on as well. Large parties can be accommodated. Overall, an enjoyable stop with fun wares and a beautiful view.

A friend had recommended we try this place by the water. This place offers both indoor and outdoor dining. If it's a chilly day they will offer you blankets. They also have a fire pit that you can sit around to keep warm. Everything we ordered tasted amazing!!! The clams and tacos were our favorite . If you are looking for a budget friendly meal then this may not be the place for you as it is a bit on the pricier side---this meal was $60 but it is worth it to try it at least once!

It had all the potential in the world, and it was the second most disappointing meal I have ever been served. This isn't one of those meals that just looks unpleasant but secretly taste really good. It's just bad

Had such a wonder experience at Union City Market! My husband loves Oysters...like loves them so much that he searches cities for them. We are from San Diego and came up here to stay at the Alderbrook. The front desk person recommended this place. It was Sunday at 4pm and when we got here they were already closed, but still finishing a few tables. Jonah was there and offered to shuck up the last of the oysters that were available even though they were closed. It was so nice of her to make my husbands day. She went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. We also went in the Union Market Store and picked up a bottle of nice wine and some truffled soft cheese and crackers. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We sat outside and enjoy looking at the gorgeous view! Thank you for a great experience!

A must stop if you're in the area! The market is super cute. Everything is lovely sourced and the prices are very reasonable. The oysters and breakfast food we ordered were amazing. The chef took some time to chat with us about our trip and what was on the menu the next few days. He also gave us some great tips of places to check out while we're here. Excited to come back tomorrow when the weather is better and enjoy more oysters and a bottle of rosé on their gorgeous patio!

This is the best little place in this area. The shop has some unique items and the oyster bar in the back is quaint. I don't like oysters but my husband does and we (he) enjoyed a few and I really enjoyed the conversation and the oyster 101 from the gal there. The view is outstanding! They really make this place the best place around. Worth the stop!!

Take a weekend getaway at Alderbrook Resort or around the Hoodsport, Hama Hama campground and stop by this lovely gem. It's a general store with high quality dry goods, ingredients, easy to cook meals while camping, while also operating as an outdoor eatery overlooking the water. We came on a Saturday morning and sat outside while we watched our food being cooked in the rustic makeshift outdoor kitchen. We ordered fresh oysters, Philly Cheesesteak, crab cakes!

Jonah is a fantastic oyster shucker and was very accommodating and friendly! Very nice experience. Great views. Tasty fresh oysters. Lisa the owner is very nice and let us taste some great local wine. She stocks good bottles of wine and cheese to buy and enjoy at one of her ocean front tables. Highly recommend!

Amazing location right on the water. Incredible grill and chef! Great with wine and amazing company! Absolutely stunning views of the Hood Canal. Fire barrel on side for grilling and staying warm. Truly unique and fun place for brunch or lunch! Great little market too and gifts.

Whenever we make a trip to the Hood Canal, Union City Market is a MUST! You can't miss it with a large painted octopus on the wall. They have great souvenirs for friends or family visiting--or just to keep for your own home decor. All of the items are made by Washingtonian hands at very reasonably priced. If you're staying nearby at Robin Hood Village, Alderbrook or somewhere else, the market has a wide variety of local products including cheeses, crackers, canned goods, alcoholic beverages and more to enjoy a picnic or on a boat ride. Keep in mind that they are open all year round but closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

What a great place for a late lunch on the water…read more The outdoor seating areas welcomed dogs and at least half the tables have shade umbrellas. All just off the waters of Hood Canal. During our meal we watched Caspian terns dive bomb on searun cutthroat trout in the waters in front of us. We saw seals feeding on those fish, too. (The trout were feeding on salmon fry in the shallow shoreline waters). And we saw great blue herons on the shoreline and roosting in the tall Doug firs across the road. But onto the restaurant. The menu is varied and impressive. We had the bacon-and-shrimp tacos and the smoked trout and baguette. Everything was perfectly cooked with a clean, appetizing presentation. When (not if) we go back, we'll definitely get at least one order of the bacon-shrimp tacos to share (it comes as two generous tacos) and then add something new. Beverage wise, H&F offers a great selection of beers, cider, wine, and cocktails. All in all, this is a new NW favorite.

For the springtime visit, it was amazing sitting outside in the sunshine. You order food at the checkout counter, and they bring your order out to you. With the sunshine the views and delicious food it could not have been more perfect. The outdoor area is also dog friendly and you can walk around the marina or take a look at the neighboring gift shop. The food may seem a little pricey at first, but the quality is there. It is fresh. It is flavorful, and it is delicious. Parking can be a little bit of a pain, especially during the busy times.

They gave us a table off to the side (Semi private) and had fixed menus for us with great options. I am gluten free and they made sure to tell the kitchen. They brought out family style cesar salad and got me a separate one with no croutons. So nice! The salad was great and had tons of parmesan which I loved. For the mains, I got polenta and salmon. The polenta was wonderful and the salmon was as well. Ended with creme brule which was so good! The drinks were really creative and lovely too. A few things that didn't go so well- there were some older drunk men who kept coming to our table and bothering us because they knew we were at a bachelorette party. The staff kind of watched and did nothing. We were clearly annoyed but felt like the wait staff was letting them and didn't plan to help us at all. Pretty much our entire group had stomach cramps all night after we dined here. Not sure why, but it was weird. I would probably come back in a smaller group, but wasn't wow-ed.
