The space itself is gorgeous with terrazzo tables, rattan pendant lights, and a wall of colorful glaze swatches that make it feel like a creative sanctuary. We painted ceramics together and the whole experience was way more fun than either of us expected. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, checking in on us throughout without being intrusive. I actually slipped out mid session to grab drinks from next door and they had zero issues with us bringing them in, which was such a nice touch. Fun little spot out in DTF. My girlfriends and I came here recently for my bachelorette party. We had a table to ourselves. Love that you can bring in your own food and drinks while painting your ceramic. Love their selection of ceramics. They have a lot of cute ones from small to large. There is a price difference if you plan on choosing a bigger ceramic to paint. Once you choose your ceramic, staff will tell you how to choose your paint colors and how many layers are needed for a certain color to show. They're very thorough at making sure you get what you need. My girlfriends and I spent about 3 hours here. It was very fun. We got to catch up with each other during this period. We had such a fun and relaxing time at Kitsch Studios! It was our first time doing something like this (surprisingly) but definitely want to do it again! Making reservations on their website was easy - no deposit required either, we just showed up and paid after we were done with our session. Place itself was located in a trendy area, big enough for multiple parties. Cool music played throughout our time there. Employees were friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of pieces to choose from too! You get to choose your own colors which was cool! And then we just went to town, painting away for a couple of hours. It was so much fun honestly. Perfect Sunday date. Omg!!! This is a date night MUST!!! I came here on Friday night and trust me i WILL BE BACK! Not only is it super welcoming but I'd consider it a cheaper option than most places similar to this. The two girls that were working were so sweet and patient! They do close at 9 so make sure you book accordingly. It's a great way to connect with your partner and just enjoy a nice night out. I came here for my sis-in-law's birthday, and we had so much fun painting! She reserved 3 hours for a group of around 10 of us, and we were allowed to bring our own food and alcoholic beverages. There is a wide assortment of ceramics to choose from; I was quite overwhelmed, being the indecisive person I am, but I eventually settled on a small berry basket. The staff was very helpful and made the whole process smooth. There was a fun variety of paint colors, some with multi-colored speckles to add texture and give your ceramic some pizzazz. You write down the colors you want and the staff gives you a palette. They were very attentive and great at refilling any paint that was low! After you finish, they give about a week turnaround time for the kiln. I loved my finished product!! My friend and I wanted to do pottery painting and found this place online. You can reserve ahead of time or do a walk in like we did. The studio fee is $11.11 and the price of the item depends on what you choose. We were there for the entire afternoon and had so much fun painting. I only have good things to say about my experiences here. Kitsch studios sells plants in the front of the store but the middle half to back is the where the pottery painting is located. Such a pleasant experience all around! For starters, I called the studio prior to entering to inquire about several aspects and all of my questions were answered thoroughly and met with kindness. Secondly, this experience was not only for myself but also for a client of mine who is on the spectrum, they are absolutely spectrum friendly which is a plus! Emily and Kai were genuinely sweet and humble, providing all of the information needed to begin our artwork and checked on us several times to make sure we were doing well. In terms of the studio itself, there was a wide selection of pottery and colors to choose from which was absolutely amazing. The pieces themselves differ in price, the studio fee is $11 (this fee is separate from the piece of your choosing), In the studio fee it includes all the paints, paint brushes and stencils to be able to complete your art as well as pencils, sketch paper and a wooden tool. In addition they have a stunning selection of paint, some of which includes small pieces of glass which later explode in the kiln and creates a unique piece. The ambiance was beautiful. There were several plants by the main entrance and a sweet playlist was played as we tested our artistic abilities. There's even a shop within the studio that sells small items which was an awesome touch. The studio called me just a few days later to confirm the pieces had been completed! I can't wait to visit again! A few friends and I spent a several hours here for a girl's night and had the best time. The variety of projects and paint colors, including speckled ones, available was awesome and made picking just one piece kind of hard. So many ideas to choose from. This is such a cute place! This studio is located in downtown Fullerton. Since this is downtown, parking is definitely packed, especially on the weekends but not impossible like how it is in downtown LA. There's entrance from the back, facing the parking lot as well as in the front, facing the street. Inside is very cozy and quaint. In the front, there are a lot of interesting knick knacks like plants, unique pottery, and a piano.The back has seating for everyone to paint their pottery. I believe this studio has other activities as well, but my friends and I came here to paint pottery. It was comfortable to seat a party of 4, even though there was a little kid's birthday party happening simultaneously. I would recommend scheduling a reservation but walk-ins are welcome too depending on capacity. The staff were super friendly and helpful with their explanations. There is a wall in the back that show what the colors will look like depending on how many layers you add. I've only been to one other pottery painting place before, but I think this place is quite nice. I never knew you could scrape off the paint once it dried in case you mess up. I was able to get quite clean lines in my checkered pattern because of this! Generally you're given 2 hours to finish your artwork, but the staff were kind enough to give us an extra hour since we were definitely not prepared coming in and took additional time planning out what we wanted to do. 10/10 would come here again! read more

I stumbled upon this place by accident with my roommate and daughter when we were checking out the new boba place around the corner. The ambiance is great. I'm not a plant person, my roommate is even they're a plant killer too (lol). But we found out that they have this paint your pottery thing. You can do a walkin basis or you can schedule in advance. They also offer free otter pops in the mini fridge for anyone who wants one (usually kids). Me and my daughter came back for a playdate and basically how it goes is that what you pay for is based on the piece you get. They're priced differently. And then you also pay for the service (idr the cost, check site). Then you choose your color palettes from the menu of paints that have (they have a lot and some premium ones for extra $). The staff are super friendly and informative. They didn't bother us and left us to our own devices but I kinda wished they did bother us cus I needed more paint sometimes and had to wait til they returned. But you can also walk up there and ask but they were quite busy. The kids were done with their pieces pretty quick. Each had two pieces and then they were over the concept and got super bored. But honestly the adults loved it, took their time, and super therapeutic and relaxing. For three pieces and the service, I think I spent close to $100? We went on a Sunday around 1 pm and I scheduled like 2 days in advance? But I also saw that they weren't busy when we sat down just toward the end they picked up. OH! You're also allotted 3 hours, but we spent a little bit over 3 hours and they did rush to kick us out or anything. I have nothing but great things to say about this cute and quaint spot. It's also neatly wedged in between the new boba shop and the new korean mini mart. And they allow you to bring your own drinks/food (I think?) but just be mindful. We didn't bring anything but I think I remember seeing that being ok. You can enter from the front or back of the store. The back from the parking lot is where the cash register is and where you pay when you're done and come pick up the ceramics like 12 days later. The front from commonwealth and harbor, you're walking into the plant pottery area and the painting area is in the back. Sadly, I don't have any pics to show for it (just one). My husband found this place on social media over the summer and we decided to check it out. We went on a weekday so it was pretty empty which was nice. It shares a space with a plant shop which is really nice, lots of greenery surrounding you, so it doesn't feel like a sterile environment. They played music while we were there as well. A literal hidden gem -- this adorable pottery painting shop is hidden inside of a plant shop in downtown Fullerton. I've been to the plant shop a handful of times, but never got the chance to try out the popup pottery shop in the back. They have a medium sized collection of items to use from and most items are super practical! The two girls working the night I went were super friendly and gave us the rundown on how it works. It's priced per person + the item you want to paint. Each item runs around the $10-30 mark and they're all labelled at the bottom. You get a selection of 7 different paint colors and they show you to your table and you'll just get on painting! This was such a fun date night spot and I love the Christmas pop being played for an added sense of festivities. There's parking in the back, street parking, and a structure that's a bit of a walk. It's surrounded by tons of food spots, and you're welcome to bring food and drink in while you paint. Wow! What a charming and delightful place this is! We walked in with 6 kiddos without a reservation to paint pottery and we were graciously welcomed in by the kind and helpful staff. They explained the process to them (ages 6-9) and got them all set up for success. Their glaze color choices are amazing and they have some beautiful speciality glazes for a nominal extra fee (totally worth it). The studio fee was less than other chain pottery painting shops and the ceramics were reasonably priced with charming and modern options for adults and kids. It also feels really good to support an awesome small local business. Did I say how cute this place is? Plants for sale up front and pottery studio in the back. The artist/owner (I presume) was fantastic with the kids. She educated them well and made them feel comfortable by being interested in them and they just had a wonderful time working on their pieces. This place is so cute and fun! My friend and I really enjoyed our experience painting ceramics here, and I think that a ceramics studio is a great addition to DTF. The owner Lauren is friendly and welcoming. We were there on December 26th, so it wasn't busy. Lauren patiently answered all of our questions and gave us more colors of paint every time we had a new idea. It was definitely the best service and most personalized attention I've ever gotten at a ceramics studio. Lauren personally curates the ceramic selection by choosing the pieces for each season. There are a good mix of practical and fun pieces. The prices are fair and the firing is quick, so you can usually pick up your finished pieces within a few days. Between the shared space with a plant shop and the chill playlist Lauren put on, this place has a great vibe for hanging out and creating with your friends.
