First, I have had facials in different parts of the country and overseas. I know what is a true and real facial feels like. This was not it. This is on me for not making time on carefully research this place. The DMK felt like the " esthetician" watched bunch of you tube videos and mimic the steps. There was no facial massage, it was more like throwing the products on your face which literally it happened that way. Lily was lovely and everything but one thing is the personality the other is the execution of work. The place: people go to have a facial or massage in a place that is zen and quiet. It's a space for healing and focus. There's no privacy. The working areas are separated by panels. There are no doors but curtains facing the checkout counter. I could hear the next door client chatting with her esthetician nonstop. For that you go to therapy or simply have that session at home. It was distracting and extremely annoying. The choice of music and volume not okay. It gave me the impression these people wants to make quick money without having proper practice and real experience. I'll keep looking and make the time to check on their certificates online. The ones on the wall look pretty fake. I know this is a brutal review but this impression was fully created by you-- the business. I support women owning businesses but please do it right!

Extremely disappointing customer service at the Franklin location…read more I've been a longtime European Wax Center customer and have purchased multiple Wax Passes over the years. I regularly purchase a variety of services from European Wax Center and have consistently invested in the company, so this experience was especially disappointing. I had a 9:00 AM appointment at the Brentwood location, which I confirmed the night before. Unfortunately, I became unexpectedly ill that morning and was actively vomiting. I was unable to call before my appointment, but I contacted the Brentwood location around 9:30 AM. They explained that I would be charged 50% of the service, which I understand is the company's cancellation/no-show policy. I had no issue with the Brentwood staff for enforcing the policy. My concern was that, given the circumstances and my history as a loyal customer, I was hoping for a one-time courtesy. I was advised to contact other locations because I may be able to get in touch with the district manager through one of them, so I called the Franklin location. The person I spoke with told me she could help me, but she did not identify herself, so I had to ask who I was speaking with. That was when I learned she was the general manager of the Franklin location, whose name I believe was Megan. From the beginning of the conversation, I found her tone unnecessarily rude and dismissive, despite the fact that I was speaking to her respectfully and simply trying to explain my situation. I explained multiple times that I understood the policy and was simply asking for a one-time exception because I had unexpectedly become very sick. Rather than feeling heard, I felt dismissed and patronized. I was repeatedly reminded that I had confirmed my appointment the night before, despite explaining that I confirmed it because I fully intended to attend. I was also told that the no-show would remain on my profile. At one point, after I expressed that I did not feel her response reflected genuine understanding of the situation, she asked, "Is there anything else I can help you with, dear?" Given the tone and context of the conversation, I found this particularly patronizing and dismissive. I understand that the policy ultimately stands, and I was never asking for the policy to be eliminated. I was asking for consideration in an isolated situation as a longtime customer. The issue is how this situation was handled and how I was treated when I reached out for help. Unfortunately, this interaction has changed how I feel about continuing my relationship with European Wax Center, and I do not plan to purchase additional Wax Passes once my current passes expire. Policies can be enforced while still treating customers with empathy and respect. I was disappointed that this was not my experience. If I could give zero stars, I definitely would.

I have to schedule around my work-life balance, so it is difficult for me to get my preferred cerologist every time, but thankfully I have yet to have a less-than-stellar experience with any of the ladies. Yes, waxing is uncomfortable, but the ladies are professionally trained to make it as quick and painless as possible. I never had skin irritation, missed hairs, bumps, bruises, ingrown hairs, burns, or rashes afterward. The one hour of free parking is convenient as I am usually in and out in 20 minutes. It is immaculate that I never have to be concerned with catching the cooties. Once you go wax you will never go back!

" LOL Let me start this review off by saying that one's experience and spa, at any point... Should never feel rushed or make one on edge. It is taking me a long time to post this review, because I like to believe the best in people. I want to think that she was having a bad day... But I feel an obligation to let clients know what they're getting into. NOTE: I was going to send this in an email to the former owner, Lisa but unfortunately the spa is *SHOCKINGLY* under new ownership now. (I visited the salon on my last trip to TN last July.) Emmy started the facial at 12:48 and ended the facial at 1:22. I'm not great at time management, but I could tell she was rushing, and she cut it short. I asked Emmy if she did the micro dermabrasion near my milia's on my eyes and she said no I'm not gonna put scrub on your eyes. I understand the eye area is delicate. I have worked in several high and spas in resorts. These milia's were big enough to get to safely- I only made the appointment because I was told him I saw that the aesthetician would take care of them. Upon getting into the treatment room, after I laid down onto the bed and was greeted with a knock maybe 10 seconds after getting undressed- I felt rushed, pressured and uneasy. I just washed my hair, and when she started putting stuff in my face, I asked if she had a headband or towel to keep it out of my hair. Not only did she not have a headband in the room - when I requested one she said, "I think I have one out there.." (with the pregnant pause and subtext of "but I'm not going to go the extra mile." (When anyone who has gotten a facial or done one properly knows the hair must be out of a client's face.) My response: "Oh if it's far no worries..." She never got the headband and continued with her "facial." Emmy immediately told me she couldn't do a scalp massage and a hand massage (or she'd run out of time,) and I said "okay, great as long as you can do the extractions!" Emmy didn't explain at all what she was putting on my face while she was doing it there was no communication it was completely uncomfortable.. nor did she ask if I had any sensitivities or allergies. RED FLAG. Nor did she ask if I wanted oil in my hair for the scalp massage I asked Emmy to get rid of the milias on my cheeks initially, but upon leaving on my way out at the front on, (in the reception area because I noticed she either forgot or ignored my comment and my right cheek had redness and heavy irritation due to her poking at the milias and not finishing.) When I asked about the milias she avoided completely and the two she picked at..note: this was in the reception area she said "THAT'S TINY and I have another client.. so I have to go." Her response in the most uninterested/unprofessional and catty tone. I was shocked at the unprofessionalism I was given, not only because of my experience, working in spas and going to many ... But also because there were other clients and the reception area, as well as the (obviously nice but learning,) brand new receptionist. If I was the owner or manager at this establishment, I would be absolutely mortified. I was embarrassed on behalf of the owner because it's a really cute place. I'm leaving the review now because I'm back in Tennessee and I still have hyperpigmentation from where she picked at my milias
