I was very excited for my treatment at Bloom and Branch Spa up until I met the aesthetician that greeted me, Emmy. I booked a " 60min customized facial. " LOL Let me start this review off by saying that one's experience and spa, at any point... Should never feel rushed or make one on edge. It is taking me a long time to post this review, because I like to believe the best in people. I want to think that she was having a bad day... But I feel an obligation to let clients know what they're getting into. NOTE: I was going to send this in an email to the former owner, Lisa but unfortunately the spa is *SHOCKINGLY* under new ownership now. (I visited the salon on my last trip to TN last July.) Emmy started the facial at 12:48 and ended the facial at 1:22. I'm not great at time management, but I could tell she was rushing, and she cut it short. I asked Emmy if she did the micro dermabrasion near my milia's on my eyes and she said no I'm not gonna put scrub on your eyes. I understand the eye area is delicate. I have worked in several high and spas in resorts. These milia's were big enough to get to safely- I only made the appointment because I was told him I saw that the aesthetician would take care of them. Upon getting into the treatment room, after I laid down onto the bed and was greeted with a knock maybe 10 seconds after getting undressed- I felt rushed, pressured and uneasy. I just washed my hair, and when she started putting stuff in my face, I asked if she had a headband or towel to keep it out of my hair. Not only did she not have a headband in the room - when I requested one she said, "I think I have one out there.." (with the pregnant pause and subtext of "but I'm not going to go the extra mile." (When anyone who has gotten a facial or done one properly knows the hair must be out of a client's face.) My response: "Oh if it's far no worries..." She never got the headband and continued with her "facial." Emmy immediately told me she couldn't do a scalp massage and a hand massage (or she'd run out of time,) and I said "okay, great as long as you can do the extractions!" Emmy didn't explain at all what she was putting on my face while she was doing it there was no communication it was completely uncomfortable.. nor did she ask if I had any sensitivities or allergies. RED FLAG. Nor did she ask if I wanted oil in my hair for the scalp massage I asked Emmy to get rid of the milias on my cheeks initially, but upon leaving on my way out at the front on, (in the reception area because I noticed she either forgot or ignored my comment and my right cheek had redness and heavy irritation due to her poking at the milias and not finishing.) When I asked about the milias she avoided completely and the two she picked at..note: this was in the reception area she said "THAT'S TINY and I have another client.. so I have to go." Her response in the most uninterested/unprofessional and catty tone. I was shocked at the unprofessionalism I was given, not only because of my experience, working in spas and going to many ... But also because there were other clients and the reception area, as well as the (obviously nice but learning,) brand new receptionist. If I was the owner or manager at this establishment, I would be absolutely mortified. I was embarrassed on behalf of the owner because it's a really cute place. I had the opportunity to have Shamna be my provider for my anti aging blueberry enzyme facial. Visiting from LA I have experienced many facials including overpriced ones. This is by far the best facial I have ever had! She took the time to cleanse, moisture and put in work on my face all while creating a zen like experience. I truly thank goodness for Shamna and look forward to when I can come back just to see her. read more

MAGICAL. Beyond grateful to have found a new facial place since moving here as our last place was spectacular. This place is absolutely perfect. The inside is so clean, welcoming and calming. We had 30 minute facials with Samantha and Lisa (which we soon realized we need to do 1 hour next time!) because they were too good and we need more haha. Lisa you charged me $20 for this shit. Cmon have some dignity to accept your mistake. Provide services you get paid for. You could have at least complete my eye brow using other method. This is dumb Really rude and manner less manager. I went for eye brow they couldn't complete it. I was on retinol they did strip wax initially which pulled my skin off. Then she said she have another appointment and her manager will complete me. Manager said she cant and ask me to come back another time. And then charged me full amount with no eye brow done. Lisa is outstanding. She is meticulous and cares for your skin like it is her own. I have struggled with acne and clogged pores for most of my life. Upon my first conversation with Lisa, she identified some areas where my skincare routine could be improved, and she performed a microdermabrasion facial on me. She uses her hands as the tools for the procedure. She controls the pressure and the vigor of scrubbing very well, so as not to irritate the skin. The aromatherapy she uses is divine, and as part of the experience she put a hand balm on my hands that was luxurious. My hands feel softer than they have in ages. Today is day one post-facial, and my skin is radiant and glowy and soft. I am still on cloud 9 after the experience! read more

I was a client here for a few years. I loved going here until 02.05.22. I was scheduled for an appointment that day and due to a migraine that day, I was not able to make my appointment. I slept through my appointment and by the time I woke up, my credit card had been charged without my consent. They refuse to credit the $140 back. I would recommend paying cash if you choose to do business here. Apparently, it is ok for them to keep your credit card on file and charge it without your consent. I have never no-showed for an appointment and I am very disappointed this happened considering it was due to a medical condition and not just because I decided not to go. Your response is not true. I was late one time. I called you to tell you I was going to be late because of traffic. My appointment was cut short and yet, I paid full price. It didn't interfere with your next client and therefore, you lost no money. You seem to be more concerned with money than the health of your clients. Well done. read more

I had an exceptional facial here! Emi was amazing. She was very attentive to my experience and took her time with our session. Honestly I've never had a facial like this, it usually feels like they're just putting my skin and playing nice music but this was an entirely different experience. This place is basically a room inside of a massage studio called "Back In Touch Wellness Center." There is one facialist, and her name is Lisa. Lisa is AWESOME. She is very easy to talk to and is more than willing to provide advice on how to take care of your skin, and she doesn't seem to have an end-game where she's actively trying to sell you her products. I had the microdermabrasion facial, and I barely felt a thing, so I was surprised to come out of there with my skin actually looking great. I guess I should stop applying the "no pain, no gain" expression to skincare. :) It's been a few days after the service, and I'm still noticing the effects of my facial. I do have a few gripes about this place: 1) The facial does not include your decolletage (i.e. your neck region), which seems essential to any facial. I've never had a facial that never included this area, so this was new to me. 2) You wear all of your clothes. I like being able to escape from the outside world by getting out of all of my uncomfortable clothing and wrapping myself in comfortable bedding that someone else will have to wash. 3) There's no comfortable area where you can relax, have a cup of lemon water and like chill in front of a fireplace in a robe. It's a pretty typical waiting room with none of those luxuries. However, this place is INSANELY affordable (30 minute facial for $55). Even their skincare line is affordable (night cream for $5). So taking that into consideration, the above gripes may be necessary for these insanely low prices. But still, I wish this place would start including your decolletage into their facials, even if it tacked on a little extra to the overall price. It's a necessary part of any skincare regimen. read more

First off, Lisa is AMAZING. I went in today for my first facial ever, and let me tell you - she has the most magical hands and energy! The shop was clean and inviting when I walked in. Lisa herself is very sweet and kind and made sure I was comfortable. I did the pomegranate facial to help lighten my acne scars and added on the microdermabrasion. I just moved in from Santa Barbara, CA and so I am trying to establish all my vendors and Lisa for my face is my new facialist. I just went blindly by the reviews and I was NOT DISAPPOINTED. The bed was delightful and cozy, her products were wonderful for my sensitive skin *I prefer Yonka but this was great* - smelled so wonderful in the room, so peaceful - Lisa is so caring and she enjoys her work - I had a VERY emotional day and Lisa let me cry, and then we laughed, she was so sweet and my face feels phenomenal. I added a service that I didn't understand and she let me change mid stream and had the clarifying facial and the Dermabrasion - I had come from a dry area and went through a lot of wind and my face feels soft and supple - if you know what I mean, by this that I don't notice my face at all.
