Our 3 y/o wasn't sure about it at first, but he eventually liked swinging like a superhero. :) There's only one tire swing, so expect a little line of kids, but worth the wait for those who have never got to experience one of these things before. We parked on the street for this park right across from the entrance. I didn't see a parking lot anywhere, but there was plenty of street parking.

Upon arriving, my first thought was that I wished I had made a point of visiting much sooner. I had been missing out. We arrived when it opened, and the place was already buzzing with activity. Although it was busy, it never felt crowded. I found a QR code that brought up a map on my phone, which made it easy to navigate the grounds. We started at the Plumeria Festival, where there were plenty of vendors selling plumeria plants and other garden-related items. There was also live music on the main stage and several food trucks. After visiting the festival, we set out to explore the rest of the Arboretum. We saw plenty of wildlife, including peacocks, squirrels, rabbits and even a coyote. The walking trails are relatively easy, and there are plenty of benches where you can stop, rest and take in the surroundings. It was a great way to spend the better part of a day, and I will definitely be going back.

They had food trucks, agua Fresca (the pineapple orange is great ) They had table seating and lawn seating. The atmosphere was great and everyone was friendly and happy. Peacocks were walking about freely and interacting with the people- it was fun We shuttled from Santa Anita Park And it was incredibly nice and simple. I liked the event and will return.

This park is family oriented and it has so much amenities to offer such as barbecues, picnic tables and shelter, drinking fountains, kids playground, restrooms, baseball field, tennis (4) courts, hardcourt (basketball, roller hockey, and skateboarding), and sand (2) volleyball court. In addition, this park offer a spectacular view of SG mountains. Plenty of parking within the park. Park goers were friendly and respectful. No homeless/sketchy people around the park which is good. Overall, this park is the largest in the city of Monrovia. I highly recommend this park to relax, unwind and play sports.

Streets are narrow for residential so parking is street only so far, haven't located the parking lots. So far I heard two very loud cars pass by scaring the kids a bit. The area is very clean, there are gated play areas for designated ages (2-5 and 5-12). Swings located in each. The 2-5 area is train themed. The 5-12 area is habitat themed. Picnic tables are located between the play areas. Plenty of seating area inside play area. Water fountains and trash cans available. Bikes can be secured near a pole with bike repair tools. Exercise equipment scattered around.

During the holidays, this park is decorated in correpondence to the celebration. Pretty cool! Quite peaceful and serene, too! Love the nostalgia atmosphere that it brings! The neat part of this park is that it is situated in front of the Monrovia Library. Its name is so fitting in that case. On Friday nights, they have their Monrovia Street Fair & Market at this park. Please note streets will be blocked and street parking may be limited. I would recommend parking closer to Foothill Blvd or in the Foothills Plaza. It's an enjoyable trail, or more like a neighborhood stroll to get your exercise in. It's not a…read moresuper charming park, but it's accessible if you're looking to have a quick workout. It is mostly paved walkways and a sandy road, for you to walk through. The trail itself is about 3.3 miles long, but honestly...only the first mile and a quarter is worth the walk. It is very dry or desert-like in the middle. There's not much to see in between that stretch. And your foot and knees will hurt walking on the paved walkways. There's also many cracks and raises along the path, so may be challenging for anyone with mobility or may need wheelchair access. Street parking mostly and as of the time of this post, the sidewalk entrance is closed, so just walk through the grass.

We did find street parking easily so it wasn't bad. It is right next to the YMCA. Pretty impressed how big the playground is and so much to do from swings to slides to things to climb. The kids had a blast.
