Didn't catch any fish but saw a couple folks who did, the fishing pier was easy and not too crowded (though not empty either on a Saturday). Playground was nice though the park had a lot of trash on the ground. Seems to be a place where folks know they can have a cookout for a bigger group. At least 2 groups were meeting up and had staked a claim on parts of the green space early. There is a decent sized parking lot with handicapped parking a lot closer. There's also a beach for swimming but not for me today (too cold!).

So if you want to do a picnic or haul a long large amounts of gear, get there early. We love the Splash park, it is very new and well maintained, also the park does not get that busy? (I wonder if people think only members can use it? I'm not sure.) Also the playground toys are pretty interesting and unique. Restrooms also look pretty new!

There is a nice array of playground equipment should you have children and want to have them go about some exercise while the adults have brief moments of peace. The restrooms are unlocked and usable. I can't say that is very much the case with Tacoma's parks and knowing what that can involve by being open all of the time in that town and being familiar with the reputation that comes with that city should make sense as to why. Also there is recycling options here where yo can take glass to have recycled which is nice as not many parks have this option. I say this because glass pickup no longer happens in Tacoma from the curbside so you have to go to a park or area that has a designated drop off. So that is a nice amenity as well when going to Cirque Park.

I like doing a big circle using sidewalks and dirt trails around the entire park. That's a nice but not too time consuming jaunt. During the spring there is some beautiful cherry blossoms trees on the west side of the park. But what I like best about this park is the recycle drop off points. There is a drop off point at the current time for glass and cardboard. This is a very convenient place to go to do this chore as it's not far from home at all. Stewart Heights is quite good in amenities and if I were to add anymore I'd perhaps add a pond or lake for ducks. More of a pond really...
