Shop is nice. Great selection of firearms. I like they that have certain firearms you won't find at other shops. Very limited selection on accessories and parts BUT they will try to help you find anything you need. Staff was solid. Not the warm welcoming kind but also not the typical gun shop D bags. Straight forward but genuine and answer all questions. Also they allow a wide variety of calibers at their range I believe everything up to 50 BMG. shotguns welcome slug only though. I took my CCW renewal class in this place. I'm very impressed with the facility the indoor range in particular. It's well kept and seems to be well managed. The CCW class instructor Scott Criswell has a very impressive training program, no BS realistic in life scenarios. His assistance Jacob was very helpful in keeping the class safe and well run. The only thing I have question with the CCW program was there's no description of the class program, aside to the basic requirements. Since I was new, I didn't know how the class is going to be held and got caught with my preparation, to where I have to change my pistol and holster. Other than that, I was impressed with the instructor and assistance and would take this class again, and I highly recommend it to other. I would suggest to future student to call first and ask how the program is going to be run. read more

Customer Service includes a call to the local police department. The owner was in the wrong, tried to confiscate my id and tried to cancel my gun transfer after I already paid for it. When I tried to talk to him about it he trespassed me and called the cops. Cops realized that it was bad faith and let me go. read more

LOL don't even bother with this place for gunsmithing. I had called before to discuss, and was told to bring my project down, might take a couple weeks to get to it. I drive 30 min to the place. I brought in a rebarrel / caliber change kit for a milsurp rifle. All parts and pieces present. Got quoted "over $1000" to do the caliber conversion, it would take over a year to get to it, and then the cheeky bastard had to throw in the piece de resistance: that if it was a complete / correct rifle in good condition, he'd refuse the work anyway! Their storefront is really good, they always have something interesting on the shelves and you never know what you're going to see. Beware of this place you cannot ask pricing or hold Guns because the owner Linden has the worst ever customer service that I ever known and what sucks is that he's the owner and he's running a gun shop not a good mix. I was talking to one of their employees to get the latest pricing before I head out to the location in Riverbank, where I'm almost 100 miles over asking for the latest price not asking for a discount and all the sudden he grabs the phone from his employee Kyle And starts shouting at me on the phone. He cannot deny this. He accuse me of trying to hold a gun where I told him that I would call on my way if I want the gun the next day to hold it for me I did not tell him to hold it Nor I called the store, he accuse me yelling going crazy on the phone that if I don't like the pricing to go somewhere else, he cannot deny this he knows he's guilty. Stay away from this place horrible service, and again the owner grab the phone from his employee to talk to me. read more

I started going there recently to there indoor range, which is the nicest in the area. I had just put a new Apex trigger in my Glock, but it was not workin correctly, so I thought I would give there gunsmith a try. I was told it would take two hours of labor because they would have to take the gun all apart to get to the trigger, and that it would cost me $200.00. I told the guy that was helping me that it didn't take no two hours, I have taken it apart several times and reassembled it in about 15 minutes. The counter person goes on to tell smugly that he knows it doesn't take two hours, but that's what they charge. I told them no way. I ended up taking it to Barnwood Arms where the charged me $50.00. Kiwi does have a nice range unfortunately there customer service sucks! They ended up losing three customers (myself, my brother and also my father) that day. If you have gunsmith work don't even give them a consideration instead go to Barnwood where they will treat you fairly and talk to you with respect. read more

I went here around the time their new gun range opened up. I was excited to know I can take my AR and shoot it at their range. Well little did I know when I walked in, they inspected my rifle and a younger kid (Jacob I think was his name), with eyes wide open "this is an ASSAULT RIFLE." Now, first of all, as someone who sits behind the counter of a GUN STORE don't you think you would know that that term is a falsely made up term for people who don't know Jack sh*t about firearms. Then as they proceed to "modify" my rifle to fit the states stupid terms of "legality" they sell me a magazine that is a complete waste of money because it causes the magazine to be fixated in the magazine well and you can only reload the magazine (while it's stuck in the magazine well) one round at a time and the rounds get stuck and flipped within the magazine. I spent 10mins shaking my weapon to get the round unstuck! I asked one of the workers if I can just use the range without all the BS and they replied with "well I mean we could let you but sometimes we'll get law enforcement in here and if they ask to review tapes and they want info on you we'll have to give it to them. What fu**ing law enforcement would ever do that for no reason? Only reason why I gave them more than 1 star is because I will say that their custom work and modifications are decent. Other than that, I'll never be stepping foot into this place again. read more

My Gunsmith (of 10 + years) retired. Finding someone you're comfortable with, someone you're willing to risk that shot on a BIG hunt with, Someone you can be confident in when you have to press that defensive firearm into action, is a BIG decision. This is my first experience at Kiwi's. I took in 2 rifles for trigger upgrades. Drop-off was smooth, the work was completed ahead of schedule. Pick-up was smooth. I received my rifles, cases and old parts back at the end to the transaction. The work was excellent. The Price was more than fair. I highly recommend Kiwi's. read more

This gun shop is a great place. Went there for a private party transfer and it was the best shop I have ever dealt with. I buy guns all up and down the state and most shops don't like doing private party transfers as they make only $10 for the shop by State rules. This shop treated me the best I have ever been treated. Did their CCW class. I enjoyed it. Great for a newbie as well as veteran gun users alike. I wish this range had more lanes. The only issue at the class was the gun range detracted from hearing what was going on, but that's not even enough to detract any points from this. The owner seems like a great guy too. read more

I have to say that this was a very shocking and disappointing visit to this shop. A little back story. I've purchased from this store two separate times recently. I went in to get some info on a gun I saw online. I waited to be helped. When I was "helped" it was a new employee that didn't have the ability to help me. That wasn't a problem but he just stood there. I said, can you go get someone that might know. It took a while. No problem. I waited then asked another employee to help. He tried to help. Then comes the OWNER..... he just walks by and looks at the picture I brought in and says " that gun is illegal in California"... I told him I found it at another, local dealer & online. He then pulls out the law book and sternly tells me the law.. ( not relevant to this gun) I've never been talked down to like this and in front of other customers which was embarrassing. I've had firearms experience for over 40 years. I told him I'm just trying to find out if I could get info on it and again that another local dealer was selling it. He said the other dealers will sell illegal guns to just make a buck.... I could end up in jail... He said he had more licenses than any dealer within 100 miles. He also said he was a police officer for 16 years and an expert witness in court... no info to help me with the question I was asking. I thought it was a great shop until this visit.... I won't be back and I wouldn't recommend this shop. read more

Went there to use the shooting range and ended up leaving without using the range. Their process is very invasive to be able to use the range. They inspect all of your weapons and ammunition. If you have your CCW, you cannot draw from your holster unless you take your CCW course through them or valley defense! Makes absolutely no sense. Felt very uncomfortable in there from the moment I walked in. Staff was not friendly and made me feel very uncomfortable. read more
