Brought my AR-15 with a Trijicon 4x32 ACOG weapon sight in to have it repaired. After a month or so, the rifle was ready for pickup and I paid the ransom to retrieve it. Going out to the range to test the rifle, I notice that the reticle looked very dim, and checked it again once I returned home. Apparently, the tritium used to illuminate the reticle at night or in low-light conditions has faded on this Trijicon sight: it's not as intense as it was when I bought it from Sierra Arms 3 years ago. I sent the sight back to Trijicon. I received an email from Trijicon that this ACOG sight was reported as having been stolen from the United States Marine Corps -- according to the serial number of the ACOG. A formal letter was received from Trijicon, alleging that the scope is stolen. It's not the same serial number of the ACOG sight sold to me by Sierra Arms, which was on my rifle when I took it in to have it repaired. Fortunately, I took a photo of the serial numbers of both rifle and scope at the desk where the Sierra Arms employee laid the rifle: you can clearly see the serial numbers of the two with the rifles and shotguns displayed on the wall behind the rifle and scope: the serial number of the ACOG sight matches the one on the Trijicon hard plastic case, which I've taken the liberty of locking up where it can't be stolen. Sierra Arms denies any culpability for the scope being switched with one that was stolen... even despite having at least one USMC veteran there who works as a gunsmith. Guess the shop pixies did it. read more

Never again with these guys . Just all around bad experience. Very rude . They honestly put me In a bad mood every time I even had to enter the business because there so rude to everyone , they don't call you with follow ups on your purchase and or your Back grounds you have to drive down there every week to check up because they also do not answer there phones . Nobody there wears or requires mask due to Covid they clearly dont care for anyone there. Owner is just very rude and snobby to everyone that walks in . FLUORESCENT TARGET PARADISE! As I was searching for Scott's Sub place, I lucked upon this little place. They had tons (& literally tons) of humungo safes, some so big that you could fit a Hippo like me into one of them. The big ones started a cool $1k and went up to $3-4k for the Hippo-sized versions. They also had a small but great assortment of various targets in plain, green, and orange. I heard about these stick-um fluorescent orange ones from my co-workers. You can see where you hit from far away. In addition, you can stick them on a used big plain B&W target, to cover the holes that you just put there, so you can use it over & over again. Most shooting ranges charge $1.50-2.00 per target so it gets expensive, and hard to see after you put more than 10 rounds in a target. The staff was friendly and helpful, and gave me a good referral for a local shooting training program. They also said that they would give me a fair & better than the competition deal if I bought through them next time. Some of the ammo was expensive ($25 for 50 rounds of 9mm) and they only had a limited amount of guns to see. There appeared to be at least one law enforcement customer and one not so kosher-looking character eyeballing assault-looking weapons, but appearances can be deceiving. SINCE I HAVE NOT SHAVED FOR A FEW DAYS AND NEED A HAIRCUT BAD, I AM SURE I LOOKED SOMEWHAT MORE PSYCHO THAN USUAL! I HOPE I DID NOT SCARE THEM! read more

This place is Fasholy racist I went one morning ready to spend whatever on a FN 5.7 the moment I walked in I was racially profiled and asked to step out while I was waiting for someone to come help me. I ended up leaving and feeling perplexed what caused them to feel this way towards me but I went to a different gun store right after in Modesto and received great costumer service. Plus when I walked in this place was empty af barely got any options as it is I'm glad this happened the first time I went I would of hated to spend my hard earned money and find out later this place doesn't deserve it read more

These people have terrible communication. I bought a gun here and they never called to notify me that the gun was ready. They never answer the phone either. For whatever reason my wife's background check was undetermined the employee said it was up to the owner to sell her again which he didn't approve and charged us a 20% restocking fee that was never mentioned when we both made the payments for the guns. read more

Great shop in Modesto to get guns and supplies. I had asked them to swap in some parts for my gun and they were able to take it in same day with a 5 minute turn around. They also host classes for Trident which provide fun handling classes among other fun training If you need help or have a question ask anyone there, it's a gun shop not a restaurant, orders aren't taken by a waiter. This place is a total joke. First gun purchase from here took forever, had placed an order for a certain gun was told it would take a week for it to arrive, 2 weeks later no call or anything so I call in to check on it and all of a sudden it's on back order and would take an extra week for it to arrive. Decided to go in and exchange for something that was in stock, and finally after 10 days I was able to get A gun from here. Besides that been in here 2 times and both times was helped by the rude old man with white long hair that's is way behind on his gun laws, in a horrible mood shouldn't be allowed to help customers at all, he asks if u need help but doesnt help at all and will try to shy away from selling you anything, not even a rebuild part without having a REALid. Just walked out empty handed. I was trying to purchase my two little items, but apparently with five employees in the building they're only capable of taking care of two customers at a time. To me it's not a good sign if employees can't give you a price on common weapons sold. I don't expect firearm sales persons to be as knowledgeable as I am about weapons but at least know the basics, especially what is in your store. When I ask about certain parts I am interested in for my rifle, i.e. sights and bipods, don't give me one answer to a quick question then walk off. Sell me that shit, be a salesman, I am there to try and spend money. I've been there one time before with similar experience. They get one more chance, some time in the future, before I write them off for good. The only reason they got two stars is because they're a gun store in California so they get some points for effort. read more

These people are a scam! I ordered a gun safe and paid for half and they said they placed the order. Ordered it in March of 2019 called countless times over the next 10 months with no response, I left messages very often and was never able to get an answer of any sort on what the status of my safe was. Every time they'd say the safe guy wasn't available and they'd take a message but never received one return call! To this day, they haven't contacted me with any explanation. You can't get much better than this place! The guys in here are very knowledgeable and thorough in their customer service. There are a couple who are a bit more 'arrogant' about their gun knowledge, but eh for the most part everyone else is great. The place is pretty much always packed, so be prepared to wait. The husband and I did some real comparison shopping both on-line and around the Valley. Each time we went to a different shop, we always came back to Sierra's stock and customer service. I cannot remember the name of the guy that did our final purchase and paper work, but he was awesome. We spent a fair amount of money in here, and each step of the way felt completely comfortable with it. I would highly recommend this place to any other person looking to purchase a fire arm. read more
