After finally getting it back we learned that these guys missed several obvious issues from the accident that still need repair. One of our wheels is bent, the valve cover was broken and the airbag light is on. When confronted the owner was exceptionally defensive and became rude. We had our brakes replaced here in April, and after only about 8,000 miles, the bolts on the brake calipers came loose and eventually fell out -- causing serious damage to the entire front side of our vehicle. Rather than taking ownership or even acknowledging the possibility of error, the shop refused to accept any responsibility. We trusted them to do quality work, but not only were the bolts not properly tightened, their response afterward showed a complete lack of professionalism and accountability. We're now left paying a large repair bill at another shop to correct a rookie mistake that should never have happened. Very disappointing experience and poor customer service all around.

I was heading home from a fishing trip to Basalt, CO to Golden, CO this evening, when my dashboard…read moreindicated low tire pressure warning. I discovered that my left/rear tire was VERY low, so I pumped it up with my DeWalt jump starter/pump while I checked Apple Maps for a local tire repair shop near me (Frisco, CO). The first "hit" was Big O Tire in Frisco, so I called them and told them I had a tire going flat, and needed a quick repair. It was 4:40 pm, and their response was, "We close at 5:00 pm, so we don't have time to help you out". Gee...thanks for nothing! I went back to Apple Maps and the second "hit" was Utopia Tire and Auto Repair. I called them and told them my situation. Jessica checked with her team and came back and said, "Bring it in and we'll do our best to help you". I limped to their shop, they threw my van into their bay, pulled the tire off, patched the hole, and sent me safely/happily on my way home in 15 minutes, as they locked the doors and closed up shop at 5:02 pm. AMAZING customer service, and even more importantly -- so very awesome that they took my issue on at the "last minute" and made sure that I got it fixed and sent me down the road to make it home, even if they had to do so at the very end of their workday. GREAT JOB, Utopia. Thank you SO MUCH for taking care of me when I needed some grace !

I brought my car in for an inspection and alignment due to shimmying at highway speeds. The staff…read morewere courteous. When I picked up my vehicle, I was told that I only needed an alignment. I paid about $170.00 for the alignment, shopped for groceries, and then entered I-70. The shimmying problem had not been repaired. I returned to Utopia, where a mechanic inspected my vehicle. I was told that I needed two lower control arms replaced. I was then given a work order (estimate) for $1,689. This was in addition to the $170 that I had already paid. I found a competitor in Silverthorne who did all of this work (replacing the control arms, balancing the tires, and aligning the vehicle) for 1,421. This was $438 less than Utopia would have charged ($170 for the initial alignment plus 1859 for the new control arms). More importantly, I had little confidence in the competence of Utopia's mechanic at this point. I highly recommend checking out the two shops in Silverthorne that perform front end work.
