I came in for an issue that I thought would require an expensive replacement. As soon as I drove into the garage, I was greeted warmly and with a smile by a woman who works there. I explained my issue and that I didn't have an appointment and was coming in for a quote. A gentleman then came to my car and greeted us warmly again. He checked it out and fixed the issue quickly and said we didn't need any replacement. And he did this without any charge. I was so pleasantly surprised by the service! Body shop standards for details should keep car interior protected and clean. They didn't at all, and new car was a mess inside from shop dust, shoes and clothing!! Failed to mount back the door front speakers. Staff annoyed and oblivious to their mess and did unacceptable job to clean it. Car body work amounted to just a polish non improvement over fine scratches, presumably insurance limit. But other dirtiness misses are still visible and permanent!! read more

I'd give them zero stars if I could. Does sloppy horrible work. Paint doesn't match. Took two months to fix my car of a bumper and some dents. They also keep your car in a garage across the street open for thieves and vandals. Do not return phone calls or emails and the owner has a very nasty attitude. Save your time and deductible!! This place is trash. I had gotten into an accident on January 18th 2022 and it was pretty bad. Had to get the whole front of my car replaced and then some. The ONLY good thing about this place was they work with Enterprise and I was able to receive and drop of my rental with no problem with a discount through Gieco--with them being a so called "certified shop." When I went to pick up my car, my windshield wipers were placed too high and were hitting the edge of the glass, my passenger side mirror was lose--making a nose, a front chrome piece was cracked--they told me they were waiting on it to get delivered, BUT still put it in knowing it was cracked wtf. AND my smart entry key system is not working. So, here I am sitting at Honda waiting for them to figure out what OVERSEAS Auto Body Shop messed up. Completely unprofessional and Shotty work. Beyond disappointed. Lazy at its finest. read more

Just got an estimate that was twice plus the price of another shop, for a bumper and a damaged quarter panel, there are charges in this estimate for things that don't need to be replaced, we've used them twice prior, but no more, I wasn't satisfied with their last repair, but I said nothing, it won't happen again, ever, I'll shortly post the estimates side by side with a picture of the damage and you can make up your own minds. Our family was involved in a minor low speed frontal collision upstate. Car had front grill damage and the underbody shield panel was hanging off. To make the car drive-able to auto-shop the panel was secured with 2 cable ties. Car was dropped off to Geico Express / Overseas Auto at Hasting on Hudson on June 15. As the car was marked up for repairs - attention was drawn and noted about the temporary fix holding the shield panel. 6 weeks later the car was picked up - everything looked fine. With some driving, we noticed a rattle noise emanating from the front. Crawled under the car to discover the panel was still secured with 2 cables ties. Promptly returned to Overseas to resolve - told to come back in a week, then they had no ramp to view, another week.... Needless to say after 10 weeks and over $13,000 in repairs my car still has a panel secured with cable ties. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. As a customer you would want to be notified when changes are made to your vehicle and not surprised when you pick it up. When I dropped off my Jeep I had a black decal on my hood, when I pick it up my hood was white. I was told they contacted a Jeep dealer in regards to if they made hoods with black decals and they were told no because it is an aftermarket feature. But they did not contact myself or the correct dealership in which I purchased my vehicle from which is clearly on my license plate frame that had to be replaced. I was told by the shop manager to go on Amazon and order my decal and the Geico damage adjuster will cut me a check for my purchase. Though I was reimbursed my money I as a customer shouldn't have had to order this decal it should have been on my vehicle when I pick it up. You all really couldn't have ordered a $34.95 decal when you charged Geico almost $3,330 to fix my vehicle. My Jeep emblems were left in my cup holder and a piece under the hood that was damaged was not replaced. The bracket for my review view camera was damaged. I had to file a complaint with the damage adjuster supervisor and upload pictures on how I received my vehicle. I refused to speak with the on site damage adjuster because he did not notify me of the changes to my vehicle after I experienced to him on the phone that I wanted my decal back on my hood. This was a very unprofessional experience and I have to be subjected to go back to have my decal, emblems etc fixed the correct way. read more

I was hesitant to use this business as I had never done business with them before but I was in an accident with a GEICO policy holder. All aspects of the experience with Overseas was handled professionally- the body work, the quick service, the coordination with Enterprise for the loaner car.... The whole experience was incredibly frustrating due to really poor communication about what was being done, when it was being done, and when it would be completed. Every time I asked for some information, I was met with stonewalling and "We can't give you that answer; you'll just have to wait and see." I had to initiate all calls to find out the status of the work and was then told (after a week) that nothing had been done. Only to find out that wasn't true and some work had been done. AND - when I picked the car up, the EZ pass tag was missing and had been used many times over the week the car was in their shop (and I was 3000 miles away). I had to cancel my account. Arghhh. I give them 2 stars because the car does, in fact, look very good. read more

Not trust worthy, used a glue to fix my car. Auto Lock door didn't work. Rubber seal around the hood was glued. Owner comes by the car to talk with attitude because I put the manager on the spot. Instead of apologizing he walked away. Oh and It took me 2 times for 2 month and yet It wasn't fixed. They glued one more part AGIAN! GEICO approved another shop which end up costing another $3500. I used Overseas auto body based on my insurance co., Geico. Geico office and auto body were in same building in Hastings, which made it very easy. The service at Overseas was excellent from the first minute I drove up to drop my truck into their shop. Joe the shop manager was quick to greet me and assess the damage. Chris, an owner, happily gave me a drive home as I wasn't getting a rental. There is a car rental shop in their building if needed. In a few days I picked up my vehicle and within minutes Joe had the repaired truck out front for me. The work was excellent, color match and body work perfect! I have had a few cars repaired at this shop. They are extremely professional. My cars always look great. They evern make sure the cars are cleaned inside when they give it to you. Always fixed on time and they keep you up to date on the repairs. I don't own a BMW but they always have a lot of them there. I drive a Honda and I was taken care of as if I did drive a BMW. It is very refreshsing to find a place like this in an industry that has some really shady places. read more

Last week I was driving down to the city from Western Mass for my daughters graduation the following day. During the ride, part of my muffler fell down from our Audi Q5 and started dragging on the ground. It was horrible rainy weather and I knew I had to get to an auto body shop quickly. My son googled Overseas Auto in Hastings as we were not far from there. I drove up and James the owner/manager? came out. He could see I was stressed out as I had to get down to the city that night. He was so calm and nice and said we could leave the car with him even though we wouldn't be able to pick it up until 4 days later. He drove us down to the train station so we could catch the train to NY! He said "don't worry about it and enjoy your daughters graduation, I will call you tomorrow with a prognosis". He called me the next day and said although he could not actually fix it due to an immense backlog in his shop, he would be able to fix it enough so that we could drive it back home safely. I asked him how much it would cost and he informed me it wouldn't cost me anything!!. I was so thankful and told him he was the nicest guy in the world. When we all came back 4 days later to pick up the car, I actually gave him a bottle of wine!. I cant recommend these guys enough. And contrary to the other post in this thread, I found the workers to be very professional and polite. read more

We dropped off the car and picked up the rental car there too with Enterprise. It was so convenient to have everything under one roof. I felt really inclined to write this review (I never write reviews)! It's never fun when you have to have your vehicle repaired. I dreaded it after the accident. However, Overseas Auto Body made the experience painless for me! Every staff I interacted with was pleasant. I had to have my car towed there in the middle of the night and when I called the following day to get some of my belongings out of the car they told me that they closed at 1pm (it was about 12:30pm when I called). They said they would wait for me to arrive because they knew I needed to put the car seat from my vehicle into my rental vehicle. When I came to pick up my belongings, I was greeted by the owner, Jason (I believe), immediately. He empathized with my situation and offered me a box to put my belongings in. Another mechanic carried the car seat to my rental car for me. They kept me informed the entire time. All of the damage was to the front of my vehicle however I mentioned that earlier that week my rear bumper was grazed by a shopping cart and requested an estimate. The owner said that they would just take care of the minor scuff for me at no cost. They had my car for about 10 days and midway through I called to request that they mount my NY plate to the front bumper. They ordered the bracket and mounted it at no cost also. I was fully prepared to pay for both the scuff and the bracket but they really took care of my vehicle. They mentioned that when they took it for a test drive post repair that there was a really annoying sound coming from the rear and determined that it was the hitch I have on it. They removed the part that was making the annoying sound and placed it in the trunk for me (I knew that was making the sound but could never quite get it off myself). When I picked up my car, it looked better than when I first bought it! It appeared as if they detailed it!
