Ian is very knowledgeable about auto glass and the fact that he fully explains everything is educationally refreshing. I had a crack that happened and spread Saturday afternoon and by Sunday it was fixed very well by Ian. He told me that due to the climate and moisture it wouldn't be a perfect job and that makes sense as it was snowing with cold temps. He was very responsive via phone and on a Sunday helped to schedule me in and have it taken care of. I had most places that would push me out a couple of days and maybe have me get a new windshield. The crack was bullseye crack a little smaller than a dime and spread about 8 inches. The quoted price was very fair and much less than the big shops. He explained to me everything step throughout the process from start to finish. I had a pretty difficult bullseye crack on my windsheild. I tried to repair it myself with a DIY permatex kit. But that did not help. In fact I may have made it worse. I informed Ian of my mistake but he still agreed to take a look at my windshield. After assessing it, he told me he would be able to fix it. He said this was one of the rare times he is able to fix a windshield that have been attempted at repair before. My bull eyes crack had a big indent so I know it is impossible to be gone 100%. We had a great experience with Clarke's Spotless, had a dime sized spider on our windshield from a rock so we setup an appointment with Safelite for Saturday between 1:30-5pm they sent me the confirmation email with the tech's phone number. He never showed up or called and when we called Safelite they were closed and said call back Monday. Looked on yelp Sunday morning and saw an ad for clarke's so I sent an email and they contacted me within 15 minutes which I wasn't expecting until Monday and asked if they would be able to fix it that day (Sunday) I said sure. A piece of gravel hit my windshield as I was driving back from the factory outlet mall in Deer Park on I-495. I don't have glass coverage on my vehicle and I wasn't quick enough to get the license plate of the gravel truck to make them pay for it. I found this business here on yelp even though it had no reviews. There are some testimonials on the business website itself. I decided to take a chance on it and I'm glad I did. The original damage was a half inch round mark with 3 small spider lines coming off of it. It was on the driver's side and very distracting. When I got the repair done, the owner told me it would look "80%" better after he was done -- in other words, not perfect. I actually think it looks 90% better. It is hardly noticeable. He has many years of experience doing this work and does glass service for dealerships as well. I believe his prices are very reasonable though don't know for sure because I didn't shop around. If your windshield gets cracked, I have heard that it's important to get it fixed right away because it can spread. The crack repair addresses the cosmetic issues as well as restores the structural integrity of the windshield. I am usually a procrastinator with vehicle repairs but I got on this one right away and am happy I did so. read more
