I have shopped so many antique and consignment shops in Greensboro, but I have never been here before. Firstly, it is not consignment. There are individual dealers in separate booths. It is a bit more consistently upscale then the other places I have been to, but that does not take away from the sheer pleasure of browsing. I would say it is moderately priced items and not the type of antique shop you are afraid to bump into something for fear of damaging something irreplaceable. I guess it really depends on your pocket book. Something's I found very affordable, something's were just out of my reach. They have smalls, furniture, decor and lovely oil paintings. I love ceramics so I enjoyed looking at lovely plates and colorful ginger jars. Wherever you looked, there was something interesting to see. The dealers just have magnificent taste in their collections and in how they merchandise their wares. There is a large parking lot in front. Just go and have fun. That's what we did!

They were very honest, and told me that one of the lamps, although old, was fine and didn't need anything replaced! The 2nd lamp only needed a new socket, and the 3rd lamp only required a new plug! In addition to being honest, they were able to replace both the plug and the socket while I waited (huge for me since I work the same hours they do...). They were helpful and professional and I highly recommend them!

Some of the stuff you'd definitely have to "invest" in, but for what you're getting it's a good price. (I bought a silver ring for me $45 and incense and a burner for my sister for $35). I was given a 6K discount if I paid the deposit to the owner, George Viall, directly instead of Thompson Lynch. I later decided not to complete the transaction. When I asked for a refund of my deposit I was referred to Thompson Lynch's return policy, even though I made the deposit to George. Thompson Lynch and George Viall have since sold the fixture and still refuse to refund my deposit!
