Josh came to do some work A+++. He replaced a light switch and outlet. He also installed new smoke detectors, replacing the pigtail (electrical connection), mount and used the batteries I gave him instead of the generic ones included. He also did some adjustments to a light fixture and a second outlet that were installed not straight. He took less time than I expected. He was done with everything in about 90 minutes. He tested every smoke detector after installing them. We previously used one of these electrical and plumbing companies but we were not happy. I'm so glad we found Raleigh Electric. I got quotes from 4 other companies, all about $800-1200 for the same work. I paid less than $300 to Raleigh Electric for all this work. read more

The plug in my garage may not be glamorous, but it is just what I needed and is doing the job without any fuss. Our technician, Jason, was wonderful to work with and really went the extra mile. The real brag on Raleigh Electric was the complicated work they did to hang a heavy fixture I got from my grandmother's house and had restored. It is heavy and complicated. Hannah was great at receiving our list and confirming the work, along with being very patient in scheduling/rescheduling dates (several times) due to our changing timeline with contractors completing a renovation before our move-in date. In addition, she always kept us updated and communicated promptly via email/phone, which I appreciated. The work done by REC was completed on three separate days. The electricians were friendly, informative, and professional the whole time. One particular electrician, Jesse, was very thorough in his work. While he was working on the repairs, he told us not to hesitate to ask him to check for anything else of concern or if we needed anything else done, let him know. I took him up on his offer, and I asked him to check the garage sockets and move a ceiling fan from one room to another, and he did so without hesitation. This may have been the best experience I have ever had with any service provider in my home. First the office was very responsive in communicating with me concerning the work we wanted to have done in our home. The only reason I am not giving a five-star review is that there was a missed opportunity to communicate that there may be extra parts and service needed for our job and we got a bit of a surprise when the required work was a little more than our budget. That being said the price that we were quoted for our job was significantly lower than several other electrical contractors, so even with the extra parts and labor I believe it was fair value for the work done. Our electrician and the office worked with our schedule and upon his arrival he was courteous professional and I felt like he went above and beyond in the completion of the service and completely following through with clean up and removal of packing materials. I had a problem with being in due diligence and having another electrician fail to provide a quote after an on-site. You absolutely need a quote for negotiations. I messaged Raleigh Electric fairly late at night, they got back to me early in the a.m. and were flexible enough to show up when we already had another vendor scheduled *that* morning. Eric (sorry if I'm misspelling your name, buddy) spent a good amount of time looking at the electrical and confirmed the needed work. I had a quote in my hand (email, ha) promptly and one of the co-owners, Brandon, was gracious enough to send an email to me at my request that outlined the exact problem with the wiring so we could illustrate the necessity of the repairs to the sellers.
