Friday evening A/C problem, so we called Streamline. Immediate answer by the dispatcher, gave us an estimated time and the name of our technician. Angel called within 10 minutes and was at our door less than 30 minutes later. He had great questions and we quickly made our way to the indoor air handler. Again, a couple of straightforward questions about what we were experiencing and he zeroed in on a frozen coil. Had it fixed and found the source of the problem freeze problem within minutes. No one wants problems with heat/air units, but they happen. When they do, call Streamline Services and they will absolutely take care of you and your home. Can't recommend them enough. read more

Everyone that i've dealt with at Streamline is polite, and the technicians that have come out have been very thorough and courteous. It is incredible that the only time I received any response from Streamline Services was when I posted negative reviews about the company. After a number of calls from myself and my daughter to receive a call back, I stated that unless I did hear from someone, I would be taking further steps. Before I posted any negative reviews, I wanted to give your company every opportunity to explain your position. I have all the documentation from both technicians and it appears that the heat exchanger WAS inspected by the first technician on 4/28/26 with no mention of any cracks. I seriously doubt these cracks magically happened in a few days when the second technician did another inspection. You said you stand behind the professionalism of your technicians. If so, which one should we believe. If the first technician had not neglected to turn the gas back on after his inspection, we would not have been aware that there was a cracked heat exchanger. We could have had a potential serious risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. I have also since discovered that the heat exchanger is still under the manufacturer warranty. I am not pursuing this simply because I am a disgruntled customer with a minor issue. This is a potentially very serious and deadly safety situation. If indeed you believe and have stated "the safety of our customers are our highest priority," that out of an abundance of caution, you would send out another technician to show us in person the cracks in the heat exchanger, and not just turn off the gas, scare us half to death, send pictures that we have no idea what we are looking at and expect us to believe you and spend up to $16,000 to replace our heating and air conditioning. This is much more serious than just a matter of closing a communication loop! If it is discovered that you are correct and the other two technicians were not, we need to take the appropriate steps to have this dangerous situation fixed. Thankfully we have some time since we are not using the heat right now. If I do not hear from you, I am considering contacting the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General's Office. First time customer. My experience COULD have been better... BUT it wasn't. Friday morning, we called out Streamline for electrical needs. Electrical issues were diagnosed, estimates given. We could not afford any of the estimates. I already have expensive estimates from two other companies. Gentlemen were really nice. After a pleasant 2-3 hours with the electricians, I paid the diagnostic fee paid which was $280.00. I explained I had a $350.00 budget, so this was under budget. However, still wife was disappointed that nothing was actually fixed with our electrical outlets. Electricians smelled gas in the garage by the hot water heater. "We can send out our streamline plumber no charge." Plumber came at a time that I said I was unavailable and on a work call. And I was with the electricians most of the morning so needed to get work done. Said to the plumber that I was on a call but to go into the garage and try and see what's going on. What I was not expecting was the plumber to be gone when I returned from my calls but also did not realize immediately that the gas had been shut off. I understand why the plumber would do this, for safety reasons and I would do the same in that situation. However, note the gas smell has been present for over a decade and checked out by PSNC. My problem starts here: (and none of this would be relevant if this had happened on a non-Friday afternoon). - Don't turn off the gas and leave for the weekend. I didn't know the gas was off until water went to warm Friday evening when my kids went to shower - At that point, I looked at the repair estimate more closely, and it mentions turning gas off. I text him "did you turn gas off???" - You know I'm going to have to call someone right back out to turn it back on, and it's a Friday afternoon. At this point, I felt I was put in a situation where I had no choice but to call Streamline back Friday evening to come back out Saturday morning (after being there the day) for an emergency service. I would have told you to fix it Friday or leave it alone and I would call PSNC. I explained this at the time before scheduling the Saturday service but proceeded anyway thinking "this is not right!" and that I would contact them about it after and sort it out. I contacted their office and I requested a refund of the $189.00 Saturday service call. I explained I am OK with paying for the work performed but feel as if the Saturday service was not fair. Streamline sees no fault, which I somewhat agree with since it was gas whic is nothing to mess around with. But if you claim to seek "customer smiles," I'm not really smiling at the moment. All I am asking for is to meet us less than half-way. It's hard not to feel like we paid $750.00 for a 15-minute gas line valve repair, some very expensive estimates and a whole lot of labor. And we're still in the same spot I was in before I called Streamline out for the electrical visit. :( Technicians were super nice and knowledgeable though, 5 stars. I was looking for someone to detect the leak in my yard, I called this company and told him what I needed scheduled an appointment for Friday, they couldn't tell me the time nor could they tell me the price. I waited all day until after 2 o'clock when the technician got here he told me that they did not detect leaks. He explained that there seemed to be some confusion about this before with other clients, he was very nice and apologetics. So I ended up having to call another company only to have to wait until Tuesday because of the Memorial Day holiday. I spoke to someone twice and explained what I needed that there was a leak in my yard and I needed someone to detect where it was, their motto is let me make you smile I did not smile and I'm not smiling. read more

I have no complaints. As a Family Plan member they do a thurough inspection every year. Our electrical tech was thorough. They did a whole house rewire three years ago. So our 1938 house is much safer. We did agree to safety sensors on our equipment. So with our Solar, we moved the house into the 21st Century. read more

I used Streamline a number of years past and they did a great job. I couldn't judge them recently, because they never showed. There excuse was other emergencies. I told the person on line my water was out because of a toilet crack and he was sympathetic and said the tech could still arrive as late as 10 pm. I had misplaced my phone long enough to miss the dispatcher's messages. She said my Friday appointment was gone and rescheduled for the next Wednesday and 25 dollars was my peace offering. Why the on line person and the dispatcher can't communicate is a mystery. I found a plumper who responded promptly and did a good job. Always call the office and get a time slot 2-3 hour. Streamline was fine at the beginning but after joining their "Family Plan" two years ago they kept postponing appointments. The most recent appointment to fix the leak in my crawl space was yet again postponed. I called on Tuesday and they were supposed to come on Thursday but after they cancelled the appointment they said their next availability was Tuesday. Then a year after I bought my system they're now telling me the membership to maintain my labor warranty will expire and they want to charge $240 a year!! I used Streamline Services to replace my HVAC system and to install insulation on the ductwork in my basement in August 2024, and unfortunately that was an extremely expensive mistake. We have since had them out 7 times that I have record of to repair issues related to the ductwork insulation, at extreme disruption to mine and my husband's jobs which are based in our home, and on 2 of those occasions they also had a manager supervising. It's the least of my concerns at this point but they left a mess each time they came, insulation scraps and screws all over the place and tape stuck to the floor. After all that, the insulation has never been properly adhered to the ductwork and has fallen down repeatedly, there are multiple areas all over our basement where the fiberglass insulation is exposed and where the tape has visibly lifted. The photos show what it looks like today, after the 7 repair jobs. Would you be happy with this in your home at the cost of $6,592? Their communication is somehow even worse than their workmanship. I've been trying to speak to a manager about a refund since December (I have record of 10 such inquiries I made in that time) and I've either been ignored or told that someone will call me and it never happens. They did give me a refund that amounted to roughly 8% of what I paid for the duct wrapping about two weeks ago, without contacting me or letting me know which I found odd, however that is not at all reflective of what I should be refunded after all of this and I think they just did it in hopes that I would leave them alone. I really wanted to resolve this with them amicably and have been exceedingly patient with them but unfortunately that goodwill hasn't been reciprocated. We paid for our ducts to be wrapped and sealed and I think it's clear we didn't get what we paid for. EDIT as of 3/31 in response to owner's comment: I have not received a call or voicemail from anyone at Streamline since December 18, 2024. This was a voicemail from their HVAC manager John. I returned his call immediately and this is the first time he told me I would receive a refund, which led to months of me following up and trying to get in contact with someone as described above. No one else in management has contacted me regarding this issue to this day. read more

I thought i had found a quality Services company that could meet my home services repair needs.... BOY WAS I WRONG!!!!! They replaced my Well Jet Pump but could not get it to cycle on and off correctly. After spending time trying to adjust the Pressure Switch the Technician told me that I had a water problem but that he could not open the well to confirm because he did not have the Certification needed to do so. He did refer me to someone who could but that person missed one appointment with me and would never return my call. Thinking I had a water problem, my wife and I SUFFERED with a non-working correctly Well Pump for 9 months. I finally called another company who COULD open the Well and they determined that I had plenty of water and installed a Submersible Pump and now we have great pressure and are getting 14 gallons a minute. I spoke with Stramline Services asking for a refund on the "1 year warranty" Pump but was told that they would not do it. Bottom Line.... I wasted $2,000 using Streamline Services. This is the most greedy company in the triangle area. We called the service but was charged with 5x times higher price than market price. They changed the flapper and fill valve for $407 each. Charged us about $1750 for changing 4 flappers and valve. This is ridiculously high. Another weird thing is, the next day after they changed the flappers and valves, 2 of our bathrooms were clogged. We had no clogging issues in the past 5 years and got clogged immediately after their service. We thought they did something wrong, so we called them to fix the problems. However, we were charged another $400 for 10 mins of service which is supposed to be covered under warranty. I really doubted that they played tricks and messed up our plumbing system when they changed our flappers. They asked me to put a credit card on file and then charged us without giving us any written proposal or quote and without getting any approval from us. We are going to file a dispute again the charges. Their service fee is so high. I wouldn't use them any more and wouldn't recommend this company. They sucks. read more

I forgot I wrote a review for this company. So let me update you. 2 days after they came out I had my downstairs family room finished. Then 2 weeks later I hear dripping in the ceiling after each toilet flush for about 15 seconds. I call them back out. He comes out and I flush the toilet upstairs and come back down and I ask him if he can hear the dripping like I can. He says he cant hear it but if he has to take the toilet off it will cost me (the toilet is literally 2 bolts and a $7 wax ring to replace... so him wanting to charge me $150 for HIS mistake made it not worth it to do). He then said sometimes its dripping inside the pipe and that since my floor upstairs was bad (and they refused to fix the floor when asked mind you) that maybe it was fine. Like 2 months later I noticed a giant yellow stain on the ceiling and called them back out and pointed to the stain... dude said he couldnt see a stain. Its a white ceiling with a giant yellow stain on it. Never use these people if you want things done right. Also because he didnt want to buy ABS plastic and use ABS glue he bought PVC parts and used rubber connectors and hose clamps. Then had the nerve to charge me $1000 for $20 worth of plumbing parts. read more

I am giving Streamline 1 star, the service guy Josh was nice, BUT BEWARE. I had a leak coming from my vent in the downstairs bathroom. He did a complete service telling me my coil and compressor was bad. I do have a warranty on my unit. But he said the parts are hard to get...well. I couldn't believe that both had been bad, The AC unit only 7 yrs old. I called a Plummer the next day, Not the AC unit at all leaking water or condensation like he said. It was my toilet ring not sealed right upstairs....so from almost $5000. bill that I knew was not sounding right... cost under $200.00 for a completely different problem Please anyone that uses this service please get another opinion before you get into something thats not broke...... read more

Just don't. Their family plan is complete garbage. We were highly recommended to them because a neighbor knew the owner. We bought into the family plan with what was supposed to include some special discount or priority service. We paid $20 a month membership that included two maintenance visits per year. Our regular maintenance service appointment was delayed twice because other members had emergencies- fine, we get it. But when our service day came there was a small part that needed replacing. This $20 part that was replaced in less than 5 minutes and they charged us $235. The family discount barely covered tax. When we questioned it we were given a litany of excuses and whining about "how expensive it is to run a business " on top of being told that was the cost of a service call!! But we prepaid this appointment. This was an upsell situation. This was not a service call. We didn't call because the part needed to be replaced, we had a prepaid appointment as part of our plan. More whining about how their prices are in line with the industry..Yeah? Then I can call anyone to over charge me without paying them a monthly fee to be part of their family. No thanks! Zero stars. I am afraid of a house fire. Just sent this out to friends as a cry for help: My HVAC was installed in 2022 and I have a 10 year parts and labor warranty through Streamline Services. In June I first noticed the unit screeching, which was explained by the fan not turning, but trying to. Multiple visits to the house by Streamline later and I now have a new fan motor they installed 7/18. I was told by the tech that the motor is a known issue and that the company now works with a new manufacturer for this particular part. Several hours ago (7/19) I hear the screeching again, the fan is not turning, the unit is putting out a ton of heat and I smell it burning. Turning the thermostats to off did not stop it, I'm assuming because it was trying to cool itself before actually shutting off. I turned the breaker off and will be purchasing a window unit in a few hours. I do not know how to proceed, stuck with the issue of the warranty being tied to Streamline Services. Even when they come to replace the part, again, possibly on Monday, (I do not know when I will speak with a tech as opposed to a person who answers calls) I do not feel safe running the unit since this keeps happening. Does anyone know what I should do or who I should contact? If I must void the warranty by getting a new company involved, I will, but I my trust in humans is very low on a good day. Please, any help, I need it. I do not want a house fire. .................. They are extremely overpriced, push the upsells hard, and every time I need work done it takes numerous trips to get it right. I just tried to book an appointment online and got to a page where a calendar with no availably was listed, saying to call. My elderly mother had a problem with a toilet that wouldn't flush. The person they sent out tried to sell her a new toilet, claiming "this toilet is broken!" I imagine they do this to all senior citizens thinking elderly people are stupid. Before the paid $900 for a new toilet I came over and with an ordinary plunged unclogged the toilet. We purchased Streamline service to fix the blocked sewer problem, first time in January, but two months later, it was blocked again at the same spot, so we have to ask them to come back again, each time we were charged about $650. Couple days back, it was blocked again at the same spot, so eventually we asked city to check if the main sewer line has issue. We were very shocked and angry when city technician told us the issue was at city sewer line, the blocked spot is right at the connection between city and our house, Streamline should let us know and tell the truth, not by cheating to earn their business!!! read more

I called them to repair my hot water heater. The technician recommended replacement so I paid $4400 for the the new water heat. The tech saw fit to meddle with my shower and broke my shower water level. He offered the fix the lever HE broke for $500. I refused. The company called me and offered to fix it but I haven't heard anything back in over 2 weeks. They aren't returning my attempts to resolve the situation. I went to Lowes and bought the replacement and did it myself for $40. This is how a veteran owned business treats fellow veterans. read more

I was very specific about available time to come take a look. 5 min before appointment the tech calls and says he's gonna be an hour late. I had already rearranged my schedule to fit the appointment. A prior call to streamline they were supposed to come out for a check up on my units and they called then to say they needed to reschedule. Streamline does not believe in punctuality. I woke one morning and had no hot water. Went into the garage to take a look at the water heater and it was leaking like a sieve. Grabbed my phone and called the closest plumbers - Streamline! They answered at 8:00 am and were here in two hours. Had a nice tankless water heater installed and working by the end of the day. Was it the price cheap? No. But when is that kind of thing ever cheap. It was basically the same price we paid for a new tankless at our last home with a small time plumbing outfit. Basically, if your water heater goes out expect to pay some righteous clams more so if you go tankless, whoever you call. But bottom line they saved the day and were professional and courteous through the entire process. Would I call Streamline the next time? Absolutely - every time. I don't write a lot of reviews but I felt compelled not just to help Streamline but my fellow plumbing sufferers of woe. Nothing worse than waking up to that kind of bummer. Consumers, beware. I recently paid Streamline to install a new water heater -they did charge more than their competitors to do this type of work, but they had good reviews and I figured I was paying for better quality and better service. Fast forward 30 days later to a Friday evening when I came home to discover my brand new water heater was leaking pretty profusely. I called Streamline and was told a technician would call me back within 15 minutes. Fast forward 3 hours, and no one had called me back. I then called another 10-12 times that evening and night, only to get the same response every time. Note - this is their "answering service" that picks up the calls and is otherwise removed from the company. There is no one at their actual office who can answer the phone and put you in touch with someone. The next day, someone finally calls me back and sends a technician out to me. This was after my water heater had been pouring out water for 16+ hours. Although they advertise on their website that they are open 24 hours a day - this is simply not true and is good ole false advertising. They are a 9 to 5 company, plain and simple. A technician finally comes out to find that a part had cracked on my new water heater and needed to be replaced. He says this is due to the "cold weather" since it is an outside water heater and I would need to pay to replace it since it would not be covered under warranty. Funny how my previous 12-year old water heater withstood much colder winters, and since my new water heater had been installed, there was only one night that even got below freezing temps. So I'm not sure if they don't know how to properly insulate outside water heaters or if they are just using substandard materials, but either way, I just don't buy that cold weather caused this problem. After going back and forth, they agreed to not charge me for this repair but told me if they had to come out again for another "cold weather fix" I would have to pay for it. So even though I just paid $2,400 for this brand new water heater, they're telling me their warranty is basically worthless and they don't plan on standing behind the work they did. Finally, I have been trying for the past 2+ days to get in touch with a supervisor or someone at the company to tell them about this experience in hopes they would remedy the situation and make it right going forward. No such luck.... If you are hoping to speak to someone at this company, you'll have a hard time finding anyone. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with any type of home repair service, and I cannot warn enough against using this company. They are twice as expensive as their competitors, perform substandard work, and do not stand behind the work you pay them to do. read more

I thought we made a great decision to get our tankless water heater from Streamline. They talked us into a maintenance plan (Presidents Club I think) and they can't out once a year to service it and check out our home plumbing and electrical. we paid our yearly fee before Covid hit and were never able to get the service done. Every time I called to schedule, they needed to talk to a manager and get back to me. They NEVER did and never returned our payment either. Now we are having a problem with it and the plumber we called said there is no cutoff to the unit!! BEWARE!! They don't always try make you smile!! read more

I know others have given this company great reviews, however, I must submit my own experience. I made the decision to cancel the family plan we bought from them. They accepted Email as a valid form of notification. We contacted them 4x about getting a refund. We were told that it needed to be reviewed. What is there to review. We cancelled in writing and did what we were supposed to do. We were also told that the person who issued refunds was out and would be back on such and such day. We would call back and that person was not there and she would be back at such and such day. That happened every time we called.
