In 2020 I PAID them along with my insurance company almost $4,000. 1/2 of that came out of my pocket directly. The staff is great but that means nothing when you have an operation that sees you only as a balance. I pay my bills but I lost my mother and mother in law who were both ill and required care from me until they passed. Not to mention trying to keep an elderly relative that I have POA safe during these horrible Covid times. I am also a small business consultant so I have been working daily and furiously to assist these businesses and keep them sustainable. As a business consultant this is the most ignorant and counterproductive policy. It makes more sense to collect the $94.50 from me while I'm there spending another $900. A small medical bill did not have my attention and they should have treated me as a patient that has spent thousands of dollars with them since I've been there along with 4 family members. So for $94.50 they've lost thousands of dollars of recurring revenue, the many referrals I sent their way and my ire. I know a lot of people and just line I share good business practices with my clients during business counseling and training. I share bad practices. This will be incorporated into my 2021 curriculum with a big fat don't use them and don't create stupid policies like this. I am disappointed and angry at myself for entrusting me and my family and spending so much money with people that cared so little for and disrespected our well being for $94.50. Today I will pay that balance because I see how important it is to them and I will caution everyone that wants to be treated humanly and as more than an invoice to choose another more deserving dentist office. I needed several fillings and instead of taking care of issue she wanted to do a filling here and there every month or so... telling me that I've had these for awhile so just deal with it. Again I couldn't believe what I was hearing... then she says to me, "what? I have an office full of patients... you just want me to stop everything and just take care of you?" I'm thinking well no but my pain was saying well yes. Again- I was floored. I said mam I never said that and didn't appreciate her tone and putting words in my mouth. Who would? She then said, "I don't feel comfortable treating you and suggested I get treatment elsewhere as I sat in pain in her chair. She literally punished me for questioning her treatment. After dealing with constant pain for mos I was relieved to get treatment and could not understand a timely plan as they never had one. When I had questions, she wasn't nice or empathic about my issue, drug out the issue then casted me away. I came here after being with the former owners for 25 years. I guess you could say my dentist and I grew old together. Well he retired. It was with a certain mistrust that I came to Healing Hands Dental. I did not know them they did not know me. My first interaction was with Peggy Zandvliet. She took my x rays, examined my teeth then she cleaned the teeth. I have never had a more gentle teeth cleaning in my life!! Peggy has an amazing light hand when using all the dental tools they use to clean your teeth. Dr. Swain while my teeth were being cleaned read my x rays. He then entered the office and did a lymph node check and asked if I had any concerns. I had one concern and he studies my bite in every way possible. He discovered the problem and fixed the tooth quickly. I am very happy I have found another fine dentist.

At the time Dr. Greaves was the dentist but after Covid there have been some changes and the new dentist is Dr. Choi. The office worked with me to book my whole family in one day for cleanings and also my filling. Dr. Choi was very knowledgeable and efficient with my filling and was the type of dentist who wouldn't do more than he needed to but in a good way. As in he wouldn't over numb you or wouldn't do a filling of it wasn't actually necessary just to get paid. The exams he did on my family were good and the dental hygienists were great as well. Monica at the front desk is very helpful and will get you in the best that she can based on your schedule and will keep in contact for changes. We require paperwork for military reasons and she always gets the work done very fast an efficient. The office is a little dated but that doesn't affect me coming in there, as they are clean and do a good job.
