Got the sloppiest root canal done at this office, paid 1600 total to get it done and ended up going to O'fallon Family Dentistry and they were surprised it was still hanging on for dear life and getting it pulled. (Thankfully there's logical dentists nearby) Now in order to fix this hole you put in my mouth I gotta come up with 2000 to fill it in. Mr Schwarz.... Time to hang it up man. The absolute worst dentist I have gotten work done with. Charges down payments per visit even with full coverage insurance, certain characteristics similar to hooters are required upon hire. I have never felt the need to leave a negative review like this until I did business with this dude.. Dental work is a very serious line of expertise I would reconsider a couple times before allowing this man anywhere near your teeth! read more

Stay away from Riverheart Dentistry. Dr. Schwartz is a hack. He screwed up my implants so badly that he had to have another dentist fix his shitty work. Now, after I have paid them in full two years ago, they don't want to take financial responsibility for their mistakes. Currently looking into a malpractice suit. read more

I called in today with concerns of a severe burn on in my mouth and Tara was awesome listening to my concerns and very compassionate. I called at 10:30 a.m. and had an appointment at 11:00. Dr Kennedy saw me and reassured me of all my concerns. I wish I could remember the text name. My experience from the phone call to the time I walked out of the office was a complete and total awesome experience. The best care ever! I will never go anywhere else. Very disorganized and not helpful. They also purport to be experienced in orthodontics but do not create treatment plans for teeth adjustment that make sense or that put you a good place for future improvements. My wife also called a minimum of two separate times to get her invisalign trays shipped to our address. The first time they had been sitting in the office for weeks and no one thought to call us to ask if we wanted them shipped. She called again and they said they had sent them out but had no information about ETA or even what the carrier service was called. That was weeks ago and now they still are not here. Very unprofessional and dissatisfying service for the thousands of dollars they so willingly accepted from us in exchange. read more

I had a procedure I wanted done and was given 3 quotes at three different times ranging from $4,000.00 to $720.00 to $1,100.00. The third quote was the $1,100.00 and when I told the girl I had been quoted $720.00 a week earlier she called me a liar. I had the paper from that quote and went back the nest day to show it to the front office. While explaining it to the receptionist, the same girl came around the corner and started yelling at me to show her "where does it say crown, show me where it says crown? Most people there are nice with the exception on that one. I don't know if anyone there knows what the procedures cost or if the just make something up as they go. Don't like that and don't like being called a liar. read more

She is very unprofessional and lacks customer service skills, as she likes to speak over me when she wants to make a point. I think my first bad review ever written. I was not a customer yet, but just moved here and was going to make Riverheart me and my sons' new dentistry. My son had(still has) an urgent mouth issue. Some kind of blister on the roof of his mouth by his two front teeth making eating quite difficult. Called twice, and was going to be connected to scheduling, so I was put on a "brief hold". First for 9 minutes, then 11 minutes, I hung up both times. When I called the third time I was told I'd be put on a "brief hold" again so I explained "that's fine, but I've been told that twice and it was not brief". The admin or tech apologized and took down my name and number so scheduling could call me. They never did. Not sure how that office is set up but I've called plenty of dentist or medical offices and you talk to a person usually right away. Time is money, I'll go somewhere where they understand that. read more

I went in to get a cavity filled, something I had been putting off for over two years. I was terrified of dentists since the numbing medication had never worked on me before. Fortunately, this time around was very different. I got the nitrous gas, which helped ease my anxiety and I was given numbing shots after a topical numbing. I ended up not feeling any pain or discomfort, which was very relieving. I would highly recommend their office! read more

It's frustrating to write this after reading all the positive posts during my research, but I feel it's important to share this story so they can not take advantage of anyone who may read this. My boyfriend had awful tooth pain, and after a bad experience with another dentist I did my research and called for an appointment. We were told that the consultation would only be charged if we chose not to have services there. We were charged for the consultation on a later bill. They said they could assist with a temporary fix, but he would need to see a specialist for further treatment and the cost would be $89 and that they would be able to assist more when the insurance would pay in June. At the next visit, the story changed, they could help with a $400 down payment. As he just wanted to be out of pain, he paid the $400 and they began. Each visit took no less that 2 hours, some longer, and at each visit he was informed he would need another visit. At no time was he given any type of print out of what they were doing or how much it would cost or given any other options he may have. On the 4th visit, after he finally inquired, he was given a print out that didn't explain the procedure, but explained after insurance payments and the down payment, his balance was now $295. Each visit had a new "temporary treatment". At the last visit, he was informed they had finally completed, however they would like him to return in June, after he paid his new total of $900. It is sickening and unacceptable that you put your trust in a business only to be taken advantage of. I wanted to file formal complaints with the appropriate sources, however he didn't want to make a fuss. I do, however, feel it is important to write this post so that whoever may make be doing research for a dentist aware of what happened so that this business does not take advantage of anyone else. read more

BEWARE!!! My husband and I both went to Riverheart Family Dentistry in O'Fallon MO. I was told that I had four cavities and my husband wast told that he had three cavities. We were both a little surprised by this so we sought a 2nd opinion. We went to the 2nd opinion separately and did not give the new dentist any information of our previous diagnosis. According to the 2nd opinion doctor, neither of us had a single cavity. Additionally I had trouble with the billing people. I paid my bill in full and kept getting a bill. I called no less than 4 times and when I could actually get someone to answer the phone, they didn't know what the problem was or how to fix it. They said they would check into it and get back with me and they never did. It has been about a month since the last bill...wouldn't be surprised if another bill shows up any day. Seven fillings on seven healthy teeth is a lot of permanent damage, not to mention, I think that might be insurance FRAUD! read more
