Recently attended a funeral luncheon at Kloc's. It was wonderful. The food was delicious! Set up buffet style. The hot items were served hot. Not sure how the food choices are made but we had roasted vegetables, red skin potatoes, pasta with red sauce, sliced sausage with peppers and onions and chicken. Salad and rolls were also served. I recommend them all. The staff on hand were friendly. They kept the tables cleared and water glasses filled. Sorry no pictures. read more

The good: Beautiful setting, excellent wait staff, tasty appetizers (salad and rolls, too), and knowledgeable assistance for pacing the ceremony The bad: A leak in the bridal suite, cold vegetables, tough beef, fishy fish, and very loud music that you had to shout over to hear each other (or go to another room). Considering the cost per plate, the main meal was the biggest disappointment. read more

We had my daughter's wedding shower this past Sunday and it was just beautiful. The food was wonderful and the rolls with lunch were so amazing! We had three different kinds of punch and they were so good. There was more than enough of all of the food and drinks. My main compliment is to Kevin, the general manager, who helped put it all together. We had 30 people which was less than we expected and he was so very accommodating. He was very helpful in making it all come together and anything I asked of him he made happen! It was a super hot day and the shower was outside in such a pretty courtyard but we also had access to the whole indoor room that was connected. This was so nice as guests had a chance to get out of the heat if they needed to. And it was a safe place out of the heat for deserts and a cheese board. It was really wonderful that this establishment gave us all of this room even for a smaller party. There were no surprise charges or extras as many places do these days with wedding parties and all the staff seemed to care about making it nice for us. Everything was just so perfect. A beautiful day and it felt very personal and we felt taken care of. Great customer service and a beautiful space. Thanks again to Kevin and all of the friendly staff!! We had my daughter's baby shower in the Garden Room a few weeks ago, and it was absolutely wonderful. From the day we went to view the room, until the shower was complete, everything went smoothly. I had many questions along the way and many requests, and Kevin (the manager) was extremely accommodating. He responded quickly to all my messages and provided all of the little extras that I asked for. There were no hidden fees, which was something I ran into with other local venues. The food was amazing and we received many compliments. We had the classic brunch buffet. The servers were equally as wonderful! Kevin and his crew are amazing and very accommodating from letting us get ready there to last minute table changes. The food is delicious (pork chops need no knives!) and I love that they had saved appetizers for the wedding party and our families since we were busy with photos. The outside grounds are beautiful, but we picked this venue because the inside backup plan was also really nice in front of a fireplace and we still got beautiful pictures despite the rain. Our guests appreciated that kids' meals were brought out first and there were high chairs and booster seats available. We learned that even if your wedding is in the afternoon, glow sticks still look amazing on the dance floor. Their DJ was easy to work with and adjusted the music to the crowd with ease. We did our walkthrough rehearsal the morning of and everything is down to a science there and he paces the events smoothly and does crowd control throughout the day to give you the space to do what you need. The best part of the venue was having the ability to do the ceremony there, use their DJ, their chefs, not having to worry about tipping or needing a day of coordinator, and everywhere you turn is a photogenic background. read more

I got married at Kloc's Grove in August of 2022. The entire process was made easy by their amazing coordinator Kevin. He put my mind at ease at our very first meeting and was one of the main reasons I picked Kloc's for our wedding venue. We got married and had the reception in the outside pavilion. Everything went great! The food was amazing and the staff were so nice and accommodating. I was here for a bridal shower. Everything was set up well and I liked the space where we were. There was an outdoor fireplace right outside the doors of the room we were in. The chicken salad was a great entree option and I really enjoyed the taste of the chicken. Normally when you go to showers you are given all of this food that weighs you down for the rest of the day. The salad was great and enjoyable. I liked the alternative. The service was great as well, and the employees were busy clearing and bringing items throughout. My new wife and I agree...we would give Kloc's 10 stars if possible. Kevin was outstanding! He helped coordinate the details of our boutique wedding while we lived in San Diego , CA. The planning was very straightforward as they obviously have done this hundreds of times. On the day of our on-site wedding & reception, the staff had already set-up our room for all our guests including extras including character artist and remembrance table. The wedding, cocktail reception, dinner and DJ were fabulous. Everyone of our guests commented on how great the food tasted - the roving appetizers and plated dinners were served hot & perfectly prepared. The DJ arranged by Kloc's was awesome and everyone ended up dancing until the very last song. The bar staff was super friendly and very accommodating. If you are considering a reasonably-priced, turn-key location for your special event, I would highly recommend Kloc's. Give them a call for a personal site review and you will become a believer too. This place is absolutely gorgeous. I had my wedding and reception in Kloc's garden pavilion in the summer of 2009 and was not disappointed. I visited a bunch of other places (Botanical Gardens, Harry's, Shanghai Reds, Kotecki's, Delaware Mansion, Avanti Mansion, La Galleria, The Old Orchard Inn) but I knew the minute I stepped into Kloc's that was the place. Kloc's is naturally beautiful - the pavilion is surrounded by lush bushes and red Japanese maple trees. There are several white gazebos and paved paths to walk through. We barely had to decorate because it was already so breathtaking. And there's none of the tackiness (i.e. indoor waterfalls, fake plants, gaudy gold embellishments) that I found at the other places. The food is delicious - we had the salmon and the filet mignon. Super tender and tasty. The house salad and rolls were fantastic. The portions are generous as well. Mrs. Kloc herself came out and greeted us during the dinner which was a nice touch. On Fridays and Saturdays there is a minimum of 150 people for the pavilion. We weren't quite there, but Kevin worked with us to make it cost-effective and not wasteful. So...why not 5 stars? The DJ they make you use is okay. Not terrible, but not fantastic. There were several repeats throughout the night, which is not a huge deal, but definitely not up to my 5-star standards. I don't think the garden room would have been as nice though, since the reception would have been mostly indoors. read more

I came here for a work picnic & had a great time. We were outdoors and I really enjoyed all of the landscaping and also the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. They have several water features installed into the landscaping and the plants and trees are beautiful. there's plenty of seating outside and everything was covered in case of rain which is great. They also had some open their areas as well as Pathways to walk through the gardens. read more

How UPSET I am to have to write this!! My fiancé and I arrived at Kloc's on Saturday for our 2pm appointment with Kevin to tour the venue (An appointment I had been looking forward to all week) What an UNPLEASANT & AWKWARD experience: Not only did my fiancé and I walk unexpectedly in to the middle of a funeral luncheon, but Kevin failed to even show up for our appointment. We waited in the foyer for nearly 20 minutes. During this time I called the office twice to no avail. Finally we left and I called the office a third and final time to leave the message that we will no longer be considering Kloc's for our (very large) wedding in June of 2016. About an hour later I received a voicemail from Joe Kloc briefly apologizing for the situation, but mostly blaming the tardiness of the "funeral group" as the reason for the blatant no show from Kevin. Joe Kloc, how difficult is it to pick up the phone and let our appointment know that you are running behind and perhaps need to reschedule? Being in the event & service industry, you should have the forethought and expertise to contact your appointments should a conflict arise. What you did (or more accurately didn't do) is incredibly unprofessional, irresponsible and disrespectful. I am annoyed that they tainted our weekend, but I am perhaps even more HORRIFIED that they blamed their faux pas on their GRIEVING guests. This was not their fault, this was not our fault, this was KLOC'S FAULT. Is this how they really value their guests??? They are clearly not the upscale venue I once thought they were. I am thankful that they chose to expose their true colors prior to us investing thousands into their undeserving business. THE KICKER -- I posted this review on the Kloc's Grove Facebook page: It was removed within MINUTES. I noticed they do not use a star rating on their Facebook. They simply remove posts from guests who are less than satisfied. This is VERY MISLEADING. It seems as though they cannot handle any negative press, nor deviation from the original plan. This past weekend I attended a wedding at Kloc's Grove and I have to say it was one of the best weddings I've been to. Not just because of who was getting married, but everything Kloc's did to make the day so special. The venue was stunning and flawless. The staff exemplified what customer service should be - they were all amazing and made sure every detail was met and were so accommodating. The food was delicious and multiple people had stated that the filet was the best they ever had! Not to mention, the owner and chef both came out during dinner to make sure everything was excellent. They also had a band and the acoustics/ set up made it feel like you were at your own private concert. I've worked at another wedding venue in Buffalo for several years and have been in the restaurant industry for several years as well and have to say that this was one of the best experiences all around. This place has come a long way! I had my senior prom here 10 years ago and it was OK. A couple weeks ago, my best friend had her wedding reception there. She was so impressed with their service and I was shocked to see all the upgrades. Weather was cold so we couldn't use to beautiful outdoor area with fire pits. They had a nice bride's room which is so nice for the wedding party to store their belongings. Service was great. We had family style and they were qucik to come aound and offer to get us more of any dish. Bar was good. No complaints. read more

Kloc's came highly recommended, but I received a very poor treatment. The manager, Kevin, was good, but since the youngest Kloc has finished college, they had him be a part in the operation and execution of my wedding, and he was horrendous. Normally you don't think that one person can ruin a wedding, but this guy really did a good job. He was rude, uncaring, unprofessional, and had a "my-way-or-the-highway" attitude that I found very offensive considering that we were paying over $10k for our wedding. His pushiness about the details was obnoxious and leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth whenever I say their name. I'm sure other people have had great experiences, and I'm sure that those people didn't have to work with the newer Kloc. read more

I simply cannot say enough about the EXCELLENT customer service we have received from Kloc's Grove! Our daughter lives out of town, and called Kloc's to ask for a last minute appointment a few weeks ago, on a Saturday. They were absolutely wonderful. The owner himself, Joe, actually took us around to view the beautiful building and grounds at 2:00pm, even though they had TWO weddings that evening. He gave us his full attention, and explained everything thoroughly. When we returned to book a date, we met with Kevin. He was absolutely phenomenal! He showed us around again, and spent a lot of time with us, answering every single question we had. I had concerns because our daughter lives 8 hours away, and Kevin told us that any of us were welcome to e-mail or call him at ANY time with questions. He was personable as well as professional. His attention to detail very much impressed me, I know my daughter's dream wedding will be fulfilled because it is in Kevin's hands. We looked at many, many venues, and I am 100% positive we picked the perfect place for our daughter's wedding! read more

We were guests at an outdoor reception at Klocs this weekend. First time there and couldn't have been more impressed. Everything was perfect (even the weather!). Immaculately clean, grounds are beautiful, fantastic layout for a function with lots of area to gather dance & drink, or quiet little spots to stroll, enjoy the water features or quiet conversation. Food was hot, delicious and abundant (family style), service was excellent, bar ran super smooth, not over crowded around hors d'oeuvres/cakes/ dessert tables. Mrs. Kloc personally checked up on each table! I loved the flow around the property - even with 3 events going on there was no overlapping of parties. My daughter booked with Kloc's grove for a Oct. 7th 2017 Wedding reception in spring 2016. Everything went smoothly until plans for the marriage fell through. In Sept. 2016 my wife cancelled for my daughter and was told that if it was rebooked for more than the 200 people (which is the min.) we would get our daughters money back, more than fair on Kloc's part. My daughter called to check on the status after her scheduled date and was told by Joe Kloc, owner of the business, that they booked less than what my daughter booked at (I thought 200 was the min?) and she would not get anything back because they "lost money" because of her cancellation and a "Last min. booking". Kloc's does a strong business and I find it hard to believe that over a year in advance they couldn't find someone to claim that day until the last min. The first week in Oct. in WNY is mostly always beautiful after all. My wife tried to talk to Joe and after leaving a voice mail he called back 4 days later. No money back of any kind. This coming from the owner of the company who does have the power to offer something back, even a couple hundred dollars. I don't expect a full refund of course, but again, I find it Impossible to believe Kloc's of all places, couldn't get anyone in there sooner. This past Saturday we had our funeral luncheon for my mom. From the moment we walked in to check out the place and give deposit we immediately knew it was perfect for mom. Outstandingly beautiful facility, top notch, full of class. The food was unbelievable!!! It tasted totally home made. It was outstanding!!!! The breaded pork chops were the best I ever had, cut with your fork tender. We also had the grilled marinated chicken breasts, very tender and moist. The service was spot on. We had family style and they kept the bowls continually filled. Conrad Kloc himself went to each table and inquired as to the food, service and satisfaction. Our guests and family were very impressed. We couldn't have asked for anything more. I found Conrad Kloc very professional, friendly and true to his word. I cannot begin to express how happy I am with the experience we had with our wedding at Kloc's. From beginning to end, Kevin was on our side. We met the owner passing in the hall, Mrs. Kloc, who told us that the venue started out as a chicken coop with a tent and some tables! How amazing it is that it has grown so much in her lifetime. We were in the Garden Pavillion and everyone raved about it during and after the reception. It was fairly warm during dinner due to the August heat but everyone dispersed into the many seating areas around the main floor. I actually think this made people stay longer into the evening (even though it was Sunday) because it was beautiful outside and the guests weren't stuck in the same chair all night. All in all, i am very very very glad we chose Kloc's as our venue. Maybe I'll go back for a baby shower!! read more

I had my wedding here in June of 2014 and it was fantastic! Kevin handled everything, all the little details and any glitches that may have arose. He was so nice and always responded to any question I had. Mrs. Kloc came around during dinner to check on everything which was a great touch! We used John, one of Kevin's DJ's and he was also great! He played a good mix of music. The food was delicious and the setting was beautiful. I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars because of two things: One, after the wedding people said it was beautiful but couldn't hear our reverend very well over the waterfall filter (we had the ceremony at the pavilion). The second was some rudeness and attitude from Conrad. While we were setting up, cleaning up, and at the end of the evening, he just gave myself and my family attitude. Someone dropped some sand accidentally and he made a big deal about it. I wasn't sure which table I was supposed to use for gifts so I used the DJ table and he rudely asked me why I did that when he walked in. He made a comment that we just "helped ourselves" to the lights in the Garden Room when we had permission from Kevin to be there. Thank God for Kevin. He was so nice it made up for the rudeness we encountered from Conrad. Overall this place was amazing and I can't hold one rude person against them but someone should definitely talk to him about his attitude towards people in general. read more
