What a treasure Klyde Warren Park is for Dallas! Opened in 2012 on a deck over a freeway, it now serves as a central hub of events for the downtown Dallas area. Today while I was at the park there was a vibrancy that was contagious. It brought the Chicago song, Saturday In The Park to mind, but I am still looking for the man selling Ice Cream! He is probably here, I just have not found him yet! Of course I have not made to the Food Truck section yet, and THAT is probably where he is at... So far I have seen people playing life-size Chess, kids playing in a dancing fountain, venders selling goods, authors selling books, people playing ping pong, and "a man playing guitar singing for us all!" read more

Anything downtown I will always rate at least a star or 2 lower due to horrendous parking options. Park was pretty lively and full of activity though. I will say the playground's pretty chaotic at times. Bunch of brats unsupervised being annoying. Saw this kid helping her little sister up one of the climbing net structures with a slide midway up and the kid was telling another kid to move so her little sister can get by. Now I get it if the other kid was just parked there not moving but the kid was moving but maybe not at the pace the brat wanted. To me, seems like a you problem and someone didn't tell her the world didn't revolve around her and her little sister. Was at another part of the playground and noticed a mom suddenly started yelling obscenities because she lost her son. She was just sitting at a bench I guess closer to her other 2 kiddos. Um newsflash. If you can't handle 3 kids, your poor choices don't need to infect other people trying to enjoy their time there. She eventually found her son but yet another story of someone who thinks the world revolves around themselves. read more

Cute! Haven't been to Klyde Warren in many years, but the park is nice and fun. Plenty of seating around the park and in the kids play area. Good playground, seems pretty safe for littles. On certain days they have food trucks parked also, if you want a snack or drink. We parked in a nearby parking garage and walked about a block to the park. read more

This park is located in the City if Dallas Arts District and is directly across the street from the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA). It has a beautiful field of lush green grass great for an impromptu game of soccer or frisbee with the kids. On the outskirts of the lawn is a walkway shaded by massive trees. Small, colorful metal chairs and tables are found where you can plop down to enjoy a picnic. The main street has about twenty food trucks lined up where you can choose from sweet snacks or savory meals. The city has invested in power drops for each, so you don't have to listen to the hum of engines or generators. There is also a playground for kids to hangout and the far end has a stage or two where entertainers perform during the cooler spring and fall months. Klyde Warren Park is a great place to relax, hangout with others, or simply stroll through on your way to or from the Dallas Museum of Art. I been here many times and i love this park. Parking can be found on the streets around here or you can pay to park in one of the garages nearby. There are always food trucks here so you won't go hungry or thirsty, but they are pricy. There are lots of events throughout the year, and a lot of them are free, so check out their website for more info. The playground here is cute and always full of kids. I don't go in there, but it looks like the kids are having fun. On the other side of the park, they have a little mini library where you can sit and enjoy a book or read the newspaper. There are lots of chairs and tables to sit and enjoy the day. I really enjoy people watching here, especially on the weekends. That being said, you can see there are a lot of tourists in the area, and if you want to do free activities with friends or family, you can take the free trolley to uptown and back down to the park. You can catch the trolley next to the DMA or catch it on the side of the park where the dog park is located. I think last time I went on the trolley it took over an hour but it was a really nice ride. read more

Klyde Warren Park is a lovely park located in the heart of Downtown, Dallas that offers a variety of activities to enjoy with family or friends all season long! This park has luscious green grass going from one end to the other offering many outdoor festivities throughout the year. They have a beautiful park for the kids with slides and tubes to play on as well multiple games such as ping pong tables, corn hole, and connect four! The park is laced up with food trucks on both sides offering delicious gourmet food that is convenient and tasty. There are also a couple restaurants on site as well as coffee shops. There is a splash pad for the kids to run around to cool off for the hot Texas months and offers fun events such as musicals, concerts, and dancing that is observed on the stage that is onsite. They do a great job decorating the park for each of the four seasons and I really enjoy coming out to see what they have new each year. The park has some of the best city views of the city where you can experience the hustle and bustle while sitting on a bench or the grass just soaking it all in. I definitely recommend this park to anyone in the DFW area looking to explore more cost-effective things to do that doesn't break the bank while having the opportunity to soak up the Texas sun while getting your daily fix of vitamin D in for the day. read more

If you're in the city then you must stop by. This place is a food truck heaven. We happen to stop by on our vacation to Dallas. There was fireworks / live music / splash pad for the kids. Came here for their christmas tree lighting event last weekend and it was a cute park! There were lots of restaurants along side the grassy areas, and lots of food trucks parked on the street. I took off 1 star for the playground area, I expected it to be bigger given all the wide open space the city has and how centrally located it is. It was absolutely packed with this event and had there been just 1 or 2 more structures all the kids would have had plenty of room to play. read more

A true Dallas gem is Klyde Warren park! I want to preface this by saying the park does close at 11pm. And there will be security onsite to make sure everyone leaves. While I've been to this park many of times, this time was particularly beautiful. We don't live far at all from the park, but it never occurred to us to take a night stroll through the city at the park with our Pups! We decided to stop by after dinner to enjoy the amazing weather, and omg! It was magical! The lights, light music, water fountain, everything was perfect! It was not packed at all so it was easy to find parking, and there were plenty of people still out so it felt comfortable and safe! Safe to say that we will be back for another mid week night stroll with the pups, they especially loved it! read more

Klyde Warren Park is, simply put, awesome. Imagine a large, modern park with lots of amenities such as fountains, dog parks, playgrounds, covered foosball/pingpong tables. Not to mention, it's conveniently located right in Downtown Dallas. KWP also typically has food trucks almost every day. When we went, there was over 30 trucks with every cuisine you can think of. Most of these food trucks are consistently at the park. The Salty Donut, for instance, has been there consistently for years serving up donuts. A great place for anyone visiting the DFW area. read more

Clyde Warren Park is one of my favorite places to visit in the Dallas Fort Worth area. The park is an oasis in the downtown area. There are so many excellent events at the park, including salsa, yoga, live music. There's an array of food trucks that line the street. From the pictures, you can see how inviting and artistic the park is set up. It would be great if it could be even bigger, but Space is a premium in downtown Dallas. read more

Love this park. It's open and on this day they had the Boho farmers market with vendors and food trucks! I parked near the museum and walked over. You can find street parking but have to pay. It's great that they have restaurants like Mi Cocina nearby. You can do the outdoor walks, go to museum, and dine with family. read more

My review is based on the Seltzerland event... The event was held at the park last weekend. Check in was smooth and seamless. At first, it didn't seem to be much vendors, and I thought 30 min was enough to explore. But once you went around the perimeter, did tastings, talked with the vendors and played games... you found yourself there for way longer! Tbh, I'm not a fan of seltzer based alcohol in general. However, from the different tastings I was able to find a couple of brands and flavors that I would actually buy in the summer time. Some were quite refreshing and not sweet! The vendors were friendly and let you try multiple seltzers if applicable. There was also a DJ which made it more enjoyable and took music requests, and there were tables to enjoy your tasting samples and chips and dip provided to you at the event. Food trucks also were located at the perimeter of the park itself for the public. Definitely a cool experience in the middle of the city! Absolutely adorable park that seems like a mix of NY's Central Park and SF's Salesforce Park. It's a 2 block-long grass park that contains an astroturfed playground, building blocks, a walkable fountain, a restaurant, and a bunch of food trucks. Countless benches, table, and chairs, and neatly trimmed trees line the park's perimeter, and there are street lights to light the park at night. Clean, well-maintained bathrooms are located in the children's playground. It's a very safe park, perfect for families, kids, dogs, and a date night (for a nice short walk)! Be sure to bring a jacket as it's getting very cold lately. read more

Even in 95 plus heat; a great outing - nice music venue and actually a breeze for downtown Dallas today - a small kid festival was being held - with some information for kid activities. We went to DMA across the street to see exhibit and ran across to enjoy food trucks and sit in shade; it did get hot to headed back into AC at DMA. Will return this Fall for better outing in the park. We park in DMA - easy access but NOTE - they want you to visit DMA - not just use their parking so be sure to stop in - view exhibits along with going across to park they are watching this. read more

This review is based on the "Trick or Treating In the Park" event held on 10/28/2023. The park encompassed several streets. It didn't look too busy at first and we weren't even sure the event was happening. Lo and behold, we crossed the street to another section of the park and it was packed! We queued in line for candy and a family had the audacity to try and cut in front of us. I don't think so! The event's staff members handed out Kroger's eco bags to those without Halloween bags/buckets. Shout out to Kroger for this fun & memorable event! read more

Klyde Warren Park is easily the nicest park I have ever been to. Filled with plenty to do from children's playgrounds, food trucks, and plenty of green space to walk around. You will see people walking their dogs, bringing their families and kids, business meetings, and much more. I don't think I saw a single piece of trash from the park. They also had really nice bathrooms and it sits right on top of a highway in downtown Dallas. You can tell they put a lot of work into maintaining the cleanliness of the park.
