Who knew there was 3 Kneads locations?!! I'm so use to going to the original location. I tried the Boston street Cafe just to see what it was giving. The cafe is cute. The staff treated me immediately upon entering the space. Now to the sweets. There were so many to choose from... the sweet potato whoooie pie looked so good. I chose the Pistachio Baklava Croissant and the Banana Bread Latte. Both were really good. I love banana flavored baked goods so I could've used more banana flavor on the front end. They also server alcohol at this location. The only thing I could complain about was them not having the Shaksuka here *but that's me being greedy lol*

Monstrous chicken salad sandwich

I decided to stop in for a late lunch today. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on multigrain bread. Boy, was this a hearty sandwich! It was so thick that it was a challenge getting my mouth around it! The sandwich had avocado spread, lettuce, tomatoes and onions on it. The flavor was really good, but the consistency of the chicken salad left a little to be desired. It was kind of liquidy, so chunks squirted out of the sandwich each time you took a bite, making it a bit messy to eat. After using quite a few napkins, I decided to console myself with a yummy chocolate almond croissant. As it was almost closing time, they gave me both of the croissants that were on display, which was so nice. I'd definitely recommend stopping in and checking out their delicious looking pastries, breads and sandwiches.

I'm assuming the negativity is coming from the fact that we all loved and miss Atwater at this location so I tried to go into this with an open mind. I do wish they would have done more than change the chairs and paint the wall, even the wording on the windows look the same lol! The new chairs makes the space feel a little cramped so it's not as nice to sit and work but it will do. I often pop in for a latte and a snack the same way I treated the space before, though now it's a bit more expensive. Coffee wise I like the roast they use so I have no complaints and their bakery is top tier so grabbing a donut or pastry will never be a complaint! The staff has always been nice enough but I'm also not expecting much more than a transaction.

Kneads is the biggest disappointment in the chain of bakeries in Balitmore. The first location in harbor East is st least pretty; this new one is in the home of the Atwater and I LOVE Atwater so it's hard to compete. They really only updated the signage, but everything else has remained the same. I will say the bagel here is pretty fairly priced. I think I paid $2.50 which is kind of cheap. And it was fine, nothing special. Now the donut on the other hand, which is the main reason we came -- the donut was at the same time sour and yeasty for a regular glazed donut. I don't get it. It tasted old and bad. The coffee was average. And because it's new, there were a ton of people on a Saturday. I will say the staff was really really kind. I wanted to fill up my water bottle, but it wouldn't fit so the barista made me a to go cup of water. The store still feels very much like hot water. It's a smaller intimate space with a lot of counters. There is one bathroom so be prepared to wait if it's busy.

Egg & Cheese & Bacon Croissant

Finally made my way to Kneads! Straightforward coffee shop vibes - but if you're looking for a place to work remotely, there's only 2-3 outlets inside, however they do have open WiFi to use. I ordered a seasonal banana bread latte for $6 which was perfect - not too sweet and not artificial tasting the way I've experienced other banana flavorings. I also had a bacon egg cheese croissant. The croissant itself was heavenly, bacon is on the crunchier side, and egg is scrambled and fluffy if that's your preference. My down side is that the sandwich came plain, no sauce or veggies like sprouts or tomatoes also I didn't ask to add it since the sandwich itself was already $15! I added ketchup and mayo from packets they had available. Ordering is at the counter and they'll bring out the food to your table if you're dining in.

Blueberry Coconut Cold Brew

Kneads is top notch! The bakery items are so good (especially the creme brûlée doughnut) the blueberry coconut cold brew is so amazing! Highly recommend it on a nice summer day!

Friendly service, great selection of music. The pastry's are just a work of art. Definitely wanted to take it all home but the sweets have been my kryptonite!! I will have to come in again!

As a person that has visited the location downtown, I must say, I like the other menu and inside dining a little better. At the canton location, you stand in line, make your order and seat yourself. It's more like a regular coffee shop that sells pastries and breakfast. I had the steak and egg bagel. It was pretty cool and my coffee was decent too. The parking situation was great as it's right inside of a big shopping center. I would eat here again but likely at the other likely at the other location. The menus are different and I prefer more options.

Vanilla latte and ham and cheese bechamel croissant

Great food, drinks, and ambiance, but customer service falls short. I'm a regular and often order a "for here latte in a mug," yet frequently receive a to-go cup while others get mugs. When I ask for it to be corrected, the response often feels annoyed and unwelcoming. Including today. Overall, the atmosphere from staff feels tense on the majority of interactions, which is off-putting. With a bit more warmth and customer service, this place could easily be a 5/5--especially during the holiday season.

Kneads is conveniently located in the Canton Crossing shopping center along Boston Street, with an abundance of free parking. Upon entry, you're greeted with the aroma of fresh baked goodies. The line was expectedly long, but moving fast. After perusing the menu, I decided on just two doughnuts to satisfy my sweet tooth - one cinnamon sugar and one maple bacon - accompanied by a chai pistachio latte. Within minutes, my order was ready and I delved into bliss. Doughnuts were soft and fresh; the latte was piping hot. I was not disappointed. Definitely add Kneads to your list if you're in the area.

I'd heard good things about this place, and a new location just opened in Canton Crossing where Atwater's used to be. There's plenty of free parking, and the space was clean and cute. I ordered a caramel latte and a sesame bagel with egg, cheese, and turkey bacon. My order came out within five minutes, but it was disappointing. The bagel lacked flavor, and the sesame aroma was nonexistent. It was soggy and fell apart, making it impossible to pick up and eat. The overall taste was bland. The coffee was hot and looked good, but it wasn't made properly (caramel wasn't mixed in). For $20, this meal wasn't worth it. In hindsight, I should have tried a pastry or something sweet, as those looked much better. I'd recommend saving your money and going to another coffee shop.

I ordered a chocolate almond croissant and received just an almond croissant, I think you might have to heat it up so it tastes better but the portion was worth the price. I haven't tried the food options yet but pricing seemed expensive. They are fairly new so I think some of the staff is still getting trained. The ambiance is nice but again I think they are still getting the hang of things when it comes to cleaning up after customers. Some of the chairs were scattered and there were crumbs on the seats I sat in. I will try again once they are more settled.

If you aren't familiar, Kneads is a fantastic bakery here in Baltimore. This is their third location. I've never had a bad pastry here. They also make a number of breakfast and brunch dishes. Seating is a little small here compared to the main location in Inner Harbor, but don't let that stop you. Fantastic, friendly service is what this place is known for. The new location is clearly continuing that trend.

Purchased four baked goods, all were stale, most likely baked 3-4 days ago. Support independent shops, not whatever this chain is.

I got milk chocolate sweetness, mild acidity, some citrus/fruit notes, and a little spice as well. The flavor got more complex as I worked through the cup. Balanced shot overall with good texture and distinct tasting notes. 5 / 5. The pour over was also solid. Full bodied, fruity and floral notes. 4/5.

During the winter, their seasonal drinks are some of the best around. Their pastry selection is fairly consistent, with croissants available daily, and they're always delicious. Every now and then they'll offer specialty desserts, which are my favorite. I've tried the sesame marshmallow cookie and the Japanese cheesecake, and both were absolutely delicious. I do wish they had a larger breakfast and lunch menu, but I don't believe they have a full kitchen. This place can get very busy, especially on weekends, and since they only have one espresso machine, the wait for drinks can sometimes be a bit longer. The only areas that could use some improvement are the staff and the cleanliness. Most of the employees are friendly, but there are a couple of seasonal workers who don't seem very welcoming. The shop can also be a little dirty at times and could benefit from more frequent cleaning. Overall, I love this coffee shop. It's small with limited seating, but if you're lucky enough to grab a table, it's the perfect spot to relax with a great cup of coffee and a delicious pastry.

I ordered a Brazilian Yuzuade with Espresso and a Japanese Cold Brew with Oat Milk. Both were great, the Yuzuade was extremely pleasing. I wasn't expecting much from it (citrus and coffee?) but it was my favorite of the two. *Line moves quick. When I arrived, there was a line out the door. I was able to order in a lot less time than it seemed. *Personable service. The Cafe limits the number of guests inside at one time to six. This allowed the staff to focus their energy on only a few people at a time. I ordered the drinks about an hour a part and the person at the register remembered me and struck up a conversation about my earlier order. Despite the five stars, what don't I like? *No vegan baked goods. I will definitely be returning to Cafe Dear Leon because there is ample parking, the prices are good and the drinks are awesome.
