We stopped here at A-1 Brightside and they put the truck up on their lift and checked the transmission fluid. Fluid level was fine so they did some on-line research to avoid having to do a complete transmission analysis and gave us some very good suggestions. We tried those for the rest of our trip and the light never came on again. Very nice, respectful and the best was - NO charge. They said no charge as all they "really" did was check the fluid level. Brian and Sharon are easy to deal with. Some people think their prices are a little high, I say it's worth every penny. I don't like being given a load of crap to make the shop money, and they won't do that. Don't take your investment to a basic mechanic to have them do something they don't specialize in. Williamson Auto specializes in fixing your car the right way and more! They do honest work, and what their estimates say needs to be done, that's it. Brian, the mechanic, knows what he is doing. One of the few shops around that will give you an estimate and stick to it. If he says something needs to be fixed, then it does. And same goes for if he says it doesn't yet need work, then he leaves you with the option of repairing something and paying for something that didn't really need to be done. There are no corporate mouths to feed, no CEOs, and no stockholders setting the prices. Keep your business in this small, homegrown, experienced shop, and you will not be disappointed.
